  • Updating an atom with a single value

    - by mikera
I have a number of atoms in my code where a common requirement is to update them to a new value, regardless of the current value. I therefore find myself writing something like this: (swap! atom-name (fn [_] (identity new-value))) This works but seems pretty ugly and presumably incurs a performance penalty for constructing the anonymous closure. Is there a better way?

  • Get ahold of session in command object in Grails

    - by UltraVi01
How can I get the session from within a command object? I have tried: import org.springframework.security.context.SecurityContextHolder as SCH class MyCommand { def session = RCH.currentRequestAttributes().getSession() } This throws java.lang.IllegalStateException: No thread-bound request found: Are you referring to request attributes outside of an actual web request, or processing a request outside of the originally receiving thread? If you are actually operating within a web request and still receive this message, your code is probably running outside of DispatcherServlet/DispatcherPortlet: In this case, use RequestContextListener or RequestContextFilter to expose the current request.

  • Trying to created a tabled layout won't work with CSS

    - by ct2k7
Hello, I'm trying to recreate a sort of table layout of a contact form. Here's the current form: http://www.radonsystems.net/contact-us and this is what the work-in-progress is like http://www.radonsystems.net/newsite/?do=contact-us As you can see, there is an issue with the second form - I just don't know how to fix it. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? The style (CSS) for that part, is nearly 100% copied over, only that I've changed the font, but kept within same family.

  • Authlogic's current_user object in models

    - by jriff
Hi all! I need to know the ID of the current user in a model: def after_save desc, points=nil, nil if answer_index == daily_question.correct_answer_index desc = I18n.t('daily_question.point_log.description.correct') points=daily_question.points else desc = I18n.t('daily_question.point_log.description.incorrect') end current_user.give_points(:description => desc, :points => points ) end But I guess that is not how it is done? Regards, Jacob

  • Database structure for versioning and multiple languages

    - by phobia
How can I solve the issue of content existing in multiple versions and multiple languages? My current structure: Each content can only have one active version in each language, and that's how I'm curious on how to best solve. Right now I have a column of the contentversions table, which means for each change of active version I have to run a update and set active=false on all version and then a update to set active=true for the piece of content in question.

  • Getting location via a web application being run in a WebView

    - by synic
m.google.com somehow requests the current location when loaded in Android's browser. I want to do the same thing from a web page being loaded into a WebView in my own application. Is the only way to go about this with WebView.addJavascriptInterface(), or is there already a javascript interface available for webapps to use?

  • SetScrollPos: scroll bar moving, but control content not updating

    - by sniperX
[DllImport("user32.dll")] public static extern int SetScrollPos(IntPtr hWnd, int nBar, int nPos, bool bRedraw); [DllImport("user32.dll", CharSet = System.Runtime.InteropServices.CharSet.Auto)] public static extern int GetScrollPos(int hWnd, int nBar); So those are the externs im using to move the scroll position, what im doing, is i get the current position, and add or substract an exact amount of pixels, and the scroll bar on my form moves perfectly how i want it, but the content in the control stays stationary. What is the problem here?

  • Way to get unsigned char into a std::string without reinterpret_cast?

    - by WilliamKF
    I have an unsigned char array that I need in a std::string, but my current way uses reinterpret_cast which I would like to avoid. Is there a cleaner way to do this? unsigned char my_txt[] = { 0x52, 0x5f, 0x73, 0x68, 0x7e, 0x29, 0x33, 0x74, 0x74, 0x73, 0x72, 0x55 } unsigned int my_txt_len = 12; std::string my_std_string(reinterpret_cast<const char *>(my_txt), my_txt_len);

  • ms access negative page numbers

    - by FrustratedWithFormsDesigner
I have an access report that generates 36505 pages (un filtered, and about half of each page is taken up by group headers and page headers) , though the footer at the bottom of the report page says "36505 of -29031". This looks like an overflow problem maybe, though I'm confused how it got the current page number of the last page OK, but failed to get total page count. Has anyone dealt with this before?

  • Best method to peek into a Scala Actor's Mailbox

    - by scaling_out
Using Scala 2.8 RC1 or newer, what is the best (easiest and/or most direct) method to "peek" at the waiting messages in an actor's mailbox (from within the same actor's act() method) in order to examine what is in the queue, without having to react/receive the messages and/or disturb the current contents of the mailbox in any way. The purpose of this is so that an actor may determine if it is safe to process a request to exit by first determining if any of the remaining mailbox messages are ones that must be processed, instead of just dropped by stopping the actor immediately.

  • Java: Calculate distance between a large number of locations and performance

    - by Ally
I'm creating an application that will tell a user how far away a large number of points are from their current position. Each point has a longitude and latitude. I've read over this article http://www.movable-type.co.uk/scripts/latlong.html and seen this post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/837872/calculate-distance-in-meters-when-you-know-longitude-and-latitude-in-java There are a number of calculations (50-200) that need carried about. If speed is more important than the accuracy of these calculations, which one is best?

    - by user262325
Hello everyone I hope to capture the clicked url on an UIWebView - (BOOL)webView:(UIWebView *)webView shouldStartLoadWithRequest:(NSURLRequest *)request navigationType:(UIWebViewNavigationType)navigationType { if (navigationType == UIWebViewNavigationTypeLinkClicked) { NSURL *URL = [request URL]; NSString *s=[URL absoluteString]; } but I noticed that this URL is not the url which is clicked and will be displayed on UIWebView, normally it is the url of current web page display on UIWebView. Welcome any comment Thanks interdev
