  • PowerPoint Paste HTML Loss of Color [closed]

    I am trying to paste HTML into powerpoint 2007. Everything works ok except that I lose the color of the text and the font. I am using the paste special method selecting html. Now I have read that some people have fixed the color loss problem by setting a color printer as their default. But that does not seem to be working for me nor would it fix the font. Thank you for any help.

    Hi, I'm writing an app to check for the bus timetable's. Therefor I need to post some data to a html page, submit it, and parse the resulting page with htmlparser. I also find it confusing, for example, that when I enter the data by hand, the url says, for example, "....HTO=Kaiserplatz&...", but in Firebug, the same Kaiserplatz is connected to a different field, in this case: \<\td class="Start3" Kaiserplatz <\/td (I inserted \ to make it visible) The last line in my code prints the html page, but without having send a request.. it's printed as if there was no input at all...   • Jar not found when executing class

    Hi there, I'm working through the ANTLR book and there are many examples that should be easy to compile using the command line. Some information to get te problem: antlr-3.2.jar contains the ANTLR classes. I added the antlr-3.2.jar to the CLASSPATH environment variable (Windows 7) and when compiling the classes with javac everything works fine. This is what i execute to compile my program: javac Test.java ExprLexer.java ExprParser.java Test.java contains my main()-method whereas ExprLexer and ExprParser are generated by ANTLR. All three classes use classes contained in the antlr-3.2.jar. But so far so good. As I just said, compiling works fine. It's when I try to execute the Test.class that I get trouble. This is what I type: java -cp ./ Test When executing this, the interpreter tells me that he can't find the ANTLR-classes contained in the antlr-3.2.jar, altough I added an entry in the CLASSPATH variable.   • Cannot turn off autocommit in a script using the Django ORM

    I have a command line script that uses the Django ORM and MySQL backend. I want to turn off autocommit and commit manually. For the life of me, I cannot get this to work. Here is a pared down version of the script.   • Get JVM to grow memory demand as needed up to size of VM limit?

    We ship a Java application whose memory demand can vary quite a lot depending on the size of the data it is processing. If you don't set the max VM (virtual memory) size, quite often the JVM quits with an GC failure on big data. What we'd like to see, is the JVM requesting more memory, as GC fails to provide enough, until the total available VM is exhausted. e.g., start with 128Mb, and increase geometrically (or some other step) whenever the GC failed. The JVM ("Java") command line allows explicit setting of max VM sizes (various -Xm* commands), and you'd think that would be designed to be adequate. We try to do this in a .cmd file that we ship with the application. But if you pick any specific number, you get one of two bad behaviors: 1) if your number is small enough to work on most target systems (e.g., 1Gb), it isn't big enough for big data, or 2) if you make it very large, the JVM refuses to run on those systems whose actual VM is smaller than specified. How does one set up Java to use the available VM when needed, without knowing that number in advance, and without grabbing it all on startup?

  • Automate the signature of the update.rdf manifest for my firefox extension

    Hello, I'm developing a firefox extension and I'd like to provide automatic update to my beta-testers (who are not tech-savvy). Unfortunately, the update server doesn't provide HTTPS. According to the Extension Developer Guide on signing updates, I have to sign my update.rdf and provide an encoded public key in the install.rdf. There is the McCoy tool to do all of this, but it is an interactive GUI tool and I'd like to automate the extension packaging using an Ant script (as this is part of a much bigger process). I can't find a more precise description of what's happening to sign the update.rdf manifest than below, and McCoy source is an awful lot of javascript. The doc says: The add-on author creates a public/private RSA cryptographic key pair. The public part of the key is DER encoded and then base 64 encoded and added to the add-on's install.rdf as an updateKey entry. (...) Roughly speaking the update information is converted to a string, then hashed using a sha512 hashing algorithm and this hash is signed using the private key. The resultant data is DER encoded then base 64 encoded for inclusion in the update.rdf as an signature entry. I don't know well about DER encoding, but it seems like it needs some parameters. So would anyone know either the full algortihm to sign the update.rdf and install.rdf using a predefined keypair, or a scriptable alternative to McCoy whether a command-line tool like asn1coding will suffise a good/simple developer tutorial on DER encoding

    I love TextMate as my editor for all things web, and so I'd like to use a snippet to use it with style.less files to automatically take advantage of the .less way of compiling .css files on the fly using the native $ lessc {filepath} --watch as suggested in the less documentation (link) My (thanks to someone who wrote the LESS TM Bundle!) current TextMate snippet works well for writing the currently opened .less file to the .css file but I'd like to take advantage of the --watch parameter so that every change to the .less file gets automatically compiled into the .css file. This works well when using the Terminal command line for it, so I am sure it must be possible to use it in an adapted version of the current LESS Command for TextMate since that only invokes the command to compile the file.     Looking for a way to programatically, or otherwise, add a new instance of SQL 2005 Express Edition to a system that already has an instance installed. Traditionally, you run Micrsoft's installer like I am in the command line below and it does the trick. Executing the command in my installer is not the issue, it's more a matter of dragging around the 40 MBs of MS-SQL installer that I don't need if they have SQL Express already installed. This is what my installer currently executes: SQLEXPR32.EXE /qb ADDLOCAL=ALL INSTANCENAME=<instancename> SECURITYMODE=SQL SAPWD=<password> SQLAUTOSTART=1 DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=0 I don't need assistance with launching this command, rather the appropriate way to add a new instance of SQL 2005 Express without actually running the full installer again. I'd go into great detail about why I want to do this but I'd simply bore everyone. Suffice to say, having this ability to create a new instance without the time it takes to reinstall SQL Express etc. would greatly assist me for the deployment of my application and it's installer. If makes any difference to anyone, I'm using a combination of NSIS and Advanced Installer for this installation project.

Question How do you automate mouse movement so that it transitions from its current location to another spot on the screen, at a specific velocity? For example: xdotool mousemove 500 500 --rate 50 The --rate 50 doesn't exist with xdotool. I could write a script that uses xdotool to get the current mouse coordinates then move it a pixel at a time to the destination with a suitable sleep interval; what automated testing tool already does this?     This is running on Windows 7 (64 bit), Python 2.6 with Win32 Extensions for Python. I have a simple script that just print "hello world". I can launch it with python hello.py. In this case I can redirect the output to a file. But if I run it by just typing hello.py on the command line and redirect the output, I get an exception.     I have a log file that looks like the following: 2010-05-12 12:23:45 Some sort of log entry 2010-05-12 01:45:12 Request XML: <RootTag> <Element>Value</Element> <Element>Another Value</Element> </RootTag> 2010-05-12 01:45:32 Response XML: <ResponseRoot> <Element>Value</Element> </ResponseRoot> 2010-05-12 01:45:49 Another log entry What I want to do is extract the Request and Response XML (and ultimately dump them into their own single files). I had a similar parser that used egrep but the XML was all on one line, not multiple ones like above. The log files are also somewhat large, hitting 500-600 megs a log. Smaller logs I would read in via a PHP script and use regex matching, but the amount of memory required for such a large file would more than likely kill the script. Is there an easy way using the built-in tools on a Linux box (CentOS in this case) to extract multiple lines or am I going to have to bite the bullet and use Perl or PHP to read in the entire file to extract it?

    I'm new to Android development. My OS is WinXP. I'm trying to install two different applications on an Android Device Emulator in command line. I have two Android projects "ap1" and "ap2". In the "ap1" project directory, I ran "ant debug". I got an "ap1.apk" executable. In the "ap2" project directory, I ran "ant debug". I got an "ap2.apk" executable. I created an Android Virtual Device: cmd_line android create avd -n avd1 -t 1 --abi x86 I launched the emulator: cmd_line emulator -avd avd1 -verbose The "adb devices" command returns: List of devices attached emulator-5554 device I installed the first program on the emulator: cmd_line adb -s emulator-5554 install "ap1.apk" I ran the program: cmd_line adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n my.pkg.android/.Activity1 = It worked. I installed the second program on the emulator: cmd_line adb -s emulator-5554 install "ap2.apk" I ran the program: cmd_line adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n my.pkg2.android/.AnotherActivity1 = It worked. All this works except that the second executable "replaced" of the first one. If I try to run the first executable, I get an error: cmd_line adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n my.pkg.android/.Activity1 Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cmp=my.pkg.android/.Activity1 } Error type 3 Error: Activity class {my.pkg.android/my.pkg.android.Activity1} does not exist.   • starting a windows executable via batch script, exe not in Program Files

    This is probably batch scripting 101, but I can't find any clear explanation/documentation on why this is happening or if my workaround is actually the solution. So basically any terminology or links to good sources is really appreciated. So I have a program I want to execute via batch script (along with several other programs). It's the only one where the exe is not in a Program Files folder. I can get it to start like this: C:\WeirdProgram\WeirdProgramModule\weirdmodule.exe But I get an error along the lines of: Run-time Error '3024': Could not find file C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop\ModuleSettings.mdb So it seems that the program is looking for its settings files from the same location that the batch script starts up. Given that I finally got everything to work by doing the following: cd C:\WeirdProgram\WeirdProgramModule\ weirdmodule.exe That works fine, and it's not the end of the world to have to go this route (just one extra line), but I've convinced myself that I'm doing something wrong based on lack of basic understanding. Anybody know or can point me to why it works this way? Oh, and doing the following: start "C:\WeirdProgram\WeirdProgramModule\weirdmodule.exe" doesn't do anything at all. Thanks,

    I want to have a function which gets a text as the input and gives back the text with URLs made to HTML links as the output. My draft is as follows: function autoLink($text) { return preg_replace('/https?:\/\/[\S]+/i', '<a href="\0">\0</a>', $text); } But this doesn't work properly. For the input text which contains ... http://www.google.de/ ... I get the following output: <a href="http://www.google.de/<br">http://www.google.de/<br</a> /> Why does it include the line breaks? How could I limit it to the real URL? Thanks in advance!

But, there are two problems, first, when slope approaches infinity the range of what the L1Sensor1 should "react" to (it "reacts" by changing its image) becomes smaller. Also, the code that should handle infinity is not working. Thanks for the help in advanced.

  • TortoiseHg : Can commit by command line but not with contextual menu

    I just installed TortoiseHg (and I'm new to mercurial). I haven't been able to execute any commit with the contextual menu from Tortoise. Every time I try, I get the following error : Commit : Abort : The system cannot find the specified file. I get the error no matter the changes in my repository : new files, modifications to existing files. I also took the time to configure tortoise as shown here : http://tortoisehg.bitbucket.org/manual/1.0/quick.html (section 3.1) The strange thing is, everything is working well when I'm doing my commit from the command line. What should I look for ?

  • What's a good way to write batch scripts in C#?

    I would like to write simple scripts in C#. Stuff I would normally use .bat or 4NT .btm files for. Copying files, parsing text, asking user input, and so on. Fairly simple but doing this stuff right in a batch file is really hard (no exceptions for example). I'm familiar with command line "scripting" wrappers like AxScript so that gets me part of the way there. What I'm missing is the easy file-manipulation framework. I want to be able to do cd(".."), copy(srcFile, destFile) type functionality. Tools I have tried: NANT, which we use in our build process. Not a good scripting tool. Insanely verbose XML syntax and to add a simple function you must write an extension assembly. Can't do it inline. PowerShell. Looks great, but I just haven't been able to switch over to this as my primary shell. Too many differences from 4NT. Whatever I do needs to run from an ordinary command prompt and not require a special shell to run it through. Can PowerShell be used as a script executor? Perl/Python/Ruby. Really hate learning an entirely new language and framework just to do batch file operations. Haven't been able to dedicate the time I need to do this. Plus, we're a 99% .NET shop for our toolchain and I really want to leverage our existing experience and codebase. Are there frameworks out there that are trying to solve this problem of "make a batch file in C#" that you have used? I want the power of C#/.NET with the immediate-mode type functionality of a typical cmd.exe shell language. Am I alone in wanting something like this?

  • file_get_contents() removing tab and new line characters

    I am having an issue today with the file_get_contents() function. When reading large files, the newline and tab characters are often removed. Here is a minified example of how I am using this.   • Why I cannot get the output of ftp.exe ?

    I execute the ftp.exe cmd through a C# System.Diagnostics.Process type. And I use the following code to get the "ftp.exe" output after I programmatically enter a "help" command. But I can only get the first line of the result. And I never get to the "end" output part. The whole program seems blocked. And I test it with the above code. It works fine. I just cannot figure out why the above code cannot work with ftp.exe? The only difference between my SimpleConsoleOutput program and the "ftp.exe" is that the ftp.exe has its own interactive command prompt.
