    I'm trying to rewrite the equivalent of the python replace() function without using regexp. Using this code, i've managed to get it to work with single chars, but not with more than one character: def Replacer(self, find_char, replace_char): s = [] for char in self.base_string: if char == find_char: char = replace_char #print char s.append(char) s = ''.join(s) my_string.Replacer('a','E') Anybody have any pointers how to make this work with more than one character? example: my_string.Replacer('kl', 'lll')

    I can't figure out why this statement is not working SELECT myChurches.id AS id, myChurches.church_name AS church_name FROM myChurches INNER JOIN church_staff ON church_staff.church_id=myChurches.id WHERE church_staff.mem_id='$logOptions_id' ORDER BY myChurches.church_name ASC Basically I need to find the person's that are staff members of a church from one table and want to get the 'name' of that church FROM the 'myChurches' table. [For the record, the grid is DevExpress.] Is there a way around this, short of creating a non-anonymous class?

    So i want to join strings with relative urls in Javascript. base url = "http://www.adress.com/more/evenmore" with relative url = "../../adress" = "http://www.adress.com/adress" relative url = "../adress" = "http://www.adress.com/more/adress" What would be the best way? I was thinking of using regexp and checking how many "../" i find, then subtracting that amount from the baseurl and adding them to what is left.

  • Windows repair console, imposible?

    Hi guys, I found an old Windows XP SP2 in my -trash- cd can and tryed it on a 30 gb FAT32 partition. Installation went fine till the copying operation was completed and XP asked for reboot. After that either it starts over again or throws invalid disk. Starting over is an infinite loop the only way I see is to choose the "Repair console" but i'm not used to a dos box. Can anyone help me through this harmful instalation? Cheers, Daniel

    After I get 3 rows in my forum_threads table this no longer does it's job; to organize a list of active forum threads and put the most recently responded-to thread at the top of the list, followed by second most recent posted-to thread, followed by third, fourth, etc. Like I said, the query works wonders up until there is a fourth row added to forum_threads.
