    - by bhargav
i have a jqgrid with a subgrid...the databinding is done in javascript like this <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> var x = screen.width; $(document).ready(function () { $("#projgrid").jqGrid({ mtype: 'POST', datatype: function (pdata) { getData(pdata); }, colNames: ['Project ID', 'Due Date', 'Project Name', 'SalesRep', 'Organization:', 'Status', 'Active Value', 'Delete'], colModel: [ { name: 'Project ID', index: 'project_id', width: 12, align: 'left', key: true }, { name: 'Due Date', index: 'project_date_display', width: 15, align: 'left' }, { name: 'Project Name', index: 'project_title', width: 60, align: 'left' }, { name: 'SalesRep', index: 'Salesrep', width: 22, align: 'left' }, { name: 'Organization:', index: 'customer_company_name:', width: 56, align: 'left' }, { name: 'Status', index: 'Status', align: 'left', width: 15 }, { name: 'Active Value', index: 'Active Value', align: 'left', width: 10 }, { name: 'Delete', index: 'Delete', align: 'left', width: 10}], pager: '#proj_pager', rowList: [10, 20, 50], sortname: 'project_id', sortorder: 'asc', rowNum: 10, loadtext: "Loading....", subGrid: true, shrinkToFit: true, emptyrecords: "No records to view", width: x - 100, height: "100%", rownumbers: true, caption: 'Projects', subGridRowExpanded: function (subgrid_id, row_id) { var subgrid_table_id, pager_id; • forloop and table in latex

    - by Tim
    Hi, Here is the latex code for my table: \begin{table}{| c || c | c | c || c | c | c | } \caption{Examples of the concepts. \label{tab:conceptsimgs}}\\ \hline \backslashbox{Concept}{Class} &\multicolumn{3}{|c||}{Negative Class} & \multicolumn{3}{|c|}{Positive Class} \\ \hline \forloop{themenumber}{1}{\value{themenumber} < 4}{ %\hline \arabic{themenumber} \forloop{classnumber}{0}{\value{classnumber} < 2}{ \forloop{imagenumber}{1}{\value{imagenumber} < 4}{ & 0 } } \\ \hline } \end{table} Something is wrong in the result however. There is some extra thing at the end of the table, as shown in this image. How can I fix it? Thanks and regards!

  • JavaScript Multi-Dimensional Arrays

    - by JasonS
This wasn't the question I was going to ask but I have unexpectedly run aground with JavaScript arrays. I come from a PHP background and after looking at a few websites I am none the wiser. I am trying to create a multi-dimensional array. var photos = new Array; var a = 0; $("#photos img").each(function(i) { photos[a]["url"] = this.src; photos[a]["caption"] = this.alt; photos[a]["background"] = this.css('background-color'); a++; }); Error message: photos[a] is undefined. How do I do this? Thanks.

  • backslashbox is too wide

    - by Tim
    Hi I feel the first column in my longtable is too wide. Please see the figure below My code is: \begin{center} \begin{longtable}{|c|c|c|c|c|c|} \caption{Error rates for SVM and 100 random counts. \label{tab:svmcount100errortable}}\\ \hline \backslashbox{Concepts}{Train sizes} & 10 & 100 & 1000 & 10000 & 100000\\ \hline 1 & 0.49 (0.00) & 0.49 (0.00) & 0.47 (0.00) & 0.43 (0.00) & 0.33 (0.00)\\ \hline \end{longtable} \end{center} I wonder if there is some way to reduce the width of the first column? Thanks and regards!

  • Speed improvements for Perl's chameneos-redux in the Computer Language Benchmarks Game

    - by Robert P
Ever looked at the Computer Language Benchmarks Game (formerly known as the Great Language Shootout)? Perl has some pretty healthy competition there at the moment. It also occurs to me that there's probably some places that Perl's scores could be improved. The biggest one is in the chameneos-redux script right now—the Perl version runs the worst out of any language: 1,626 times slower than the C baseline solution! There are some restrictions on how the programs can be made and optimized, and there is Perl's interpreted runtime penalty, but 1,626 times? There's got to be something that can get the runtime of this program way down. Taking a look at the source code and the challenge, how can the speed be improved?

  • How to get PCIController info with WMI query?

    - by smwikipedia
I am using the following code to get some info about my PCIController try { ManagementObjectSearcher searcher = new ManagementObjectSearcher("Select * from Win32_PCIController"); foreach (ManagementObject cdrom in searcher.Get()) { Console.WriteLine("PCIController Name: {0}", cdrom.GetPropertyValue("Caption")); } } catch (Exception e) { Console.WriteLine(e.Message); } But it kept throwing "Invalid Class" exception. And I run my query with "wbemtest.exe" tool which is installed with Windows, and the same error there is. I checked the CIM_PCIController Class on MSDN and it seems my code is ok. But why the "Invalid Class exception"? Could someone help me, I just want to get some info from my PCI Controller device. Many thanks.

  • Visual Studio 2008 macro only works from the Macro IDE, not the Macro Explorer

    - by Cat
Edit: Creating a new module in the same VSMacros project fixed the problem. The following macro only works if I open the Macro IDE from Visual Studio and run the macro from there. It'd be much more useful if I could just right click the macro from the Macro Explorer from my Visual Studio instance. I must be doing something obviously wrong, but I've never worked with VS macros before. The MessageBox does not appear in either case. Option Strict Off Option Explicit Off Imports System Imports EnvDTE Imports EnvDTE80 Imports EnvDTE90 Imports System.Diagnostics Imports System.Security.Principal Imports System.Windows.Forms Public Module AttachToSdtProcess Sub AttachToSdtProcess() Try 'If MessageBox.Show("Attach to SDT.exe", "Caption", _ ' MessageBoxButtons.OKCancel) = DialogResult.Cancel Then 'Return 'End If Dim dbg2 As EnvDTE80.Debugger2 = DTE.Debugger Dim trans As EnvDTE80.Transport = dbg2.Transports.Item("Default") Dim compName As String = WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name compName = compName.Substring(0, compName.IndexOf("\")) Dim proc2 As EnvDTE80.Process2 = _ dbg2.GetProcesses(trans, compName).Item("TheExecutable.exe") If proc2 Is Nothing Then MessageBox.Show("Could not find TheExecutable.exe") End If proc2.Attach2(dbgeng) Catch ex As System.Exception MsgBox(ex.Message) End Try End Sub End Module

  • Uploading images to a PHP server from Android

    - by Samuh
I need to upload an image to a remote PHP server which expects the following parameters in HTTPPOST: *$_POST['title']* *$_POST['caption']* *$_FILES['fileatt']* Most of the internet searches suggested either : Download the following classes and trying MultiPartEntity to send the request: apache-mime4j-0.5.jar httpclient-4.0-beta2.jar httpcore-4.0-beta3.jar httpmime-4.0-beta2.jar OR Use URLconnection and handle multipart data myself. Btw, I am keen on using HttpClient class rather than java.net(or is it android.net) classes. Eventually, I downloaded the Multipart classes from the Android source code and used them in my project instead. Though this can be done by any of the above mentioned methods, I'd like to make sure if these are the only ways to achieve the said objective. I skimmed through the documentation and found a FileEntity class but I could not get it to work. What is the correct way to get this done in an Android application? Thanks.

  • CSS-Specifity and CSS Inheritance (concrete question)?

    - by jens
Hello, i would by thankful for an official link (and section) of the specification for CSS, that explains if: .one two h1 {color:green;font-family:arial;} /*case 1 */ .one two h1 {color:blue;} /*case 2*/ will result in (when evaluated by the browser) .one two h1 {color:blue;font-family:arial;} /*case 3*/ or will it be: .one two h1 {color:blue;} /*case 4*/ ==I have read a lot about inheritance, specifity, cascading etc but I still have not found for the given example which rules apply here. In regard to specifity both elements are equal in specifity the case2 will be the most specify one (as it is equal specific but the last one). But does specifity always apply to the whole selector with ALL properties defined. Or only the the properties that are are in "competition" (and declared in both). thanks!!!!

  • jqgrid ASP.NET MVC -- getting data right for the grid.

    - by SamM09
Here is my dilemma, I have not been able to manipulate my data to a form fitting to jqgrid standards. This is my first time using the jqgrid and I've spent a lot of time reading up on it. My js code is as follows: jQuery("#list").jqGrid({ url: '/Home/ListContacts/', dataType: "json", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", mtype: 'POST', colNames: ['First Name', 'MI', 'Last Name'], colModel: [ { name: 'First Name', index: 'FName', width: 40, align: 'left' }, { name: 'MI', index: 'MInitial', width: 40, align: 'left' }, { name: 'Last Name', index: 'LName', width: 400, align: 'left'}], pager: jQuery('#pager'), rowNum: 10, rowList: [5, 10, 20, 50], sortname: 'Id', sortorder: "desc", repeatitems: false, viewrecords: true, imgpath: '/scripts/themes/basic/images', caption: 'My first grid' }); }); what im getting from the database: [["4","Jenna","Mccarthy"],["56","wer","weoiru"]] Now correct me if I am wrong, but the index: in my colModel refers to the column names in my database right? Could someone point to a reference that is straight forward or just start me off with this I would be most grateful.

  • How to make TWebBrower ignore accelerator chars of others controls?

When I am editing the contents of a document inside the WebBrowser and I press the key E the button close is called. It appears that it is treating TWebBrowser like other controls that don't handle keys (e.g. TButton). How can I solve this? Thanks in advance.

  • How would you go about tackling this problem?

    - by incrediman
I have a programming contest coming up in about half a week, and I've been prepping :) I found a bunch of questions from this canadian competition, they're great practice: http://cemc.math.uwaterloo.ca/contests/computing/2009/stage2/day1.pdf I'm looking at problem B ("Dinner"). Any idea where to start? I can't really think of anything besides the naive approach (ie. trying all permutations) which would take too long to be a valid answer. Btw, the language there says c++ and pascal I think, but i don't care what language you use - I mean really all I want is a brief description of how to tackle the problem. Like "use X technique treating each programmer as a Y" or something :)

  • What features are important in a programming language for young beginners?

    - by NoMoreZealots
I was talking with some of the mentors in a local robotics competition for 7th and 8th level kids. The robot was using PBASIC and the parallax Basic Stamp. One of the major issues was this was short term project that required building the robot, teaching them to program in PBASIC and having them program the robot. All in only 2 hours or so a week over a couple months. PBASIC is kinda nice in that it has built in features to do everything, but information overload is possible to due this. My thought are simplicity is key. When you have kids struggling to grasp: if X>10 then <DOSOMETHING> There is not much point in throwing "proper" object oriented programming at them. What are the essentials needed to foster an interest in programming?

  • Visual Studio - "attach to particular instance of the process" macro

    - by Steve
I guess prety much everyone who does a lot of debugging have a handy macro in Visual Studio (with shortcut to it on a toolbar) which when called automatically attaches to a particular process (identified by name). it saves a lot of time rather than clicking "Debug" - "Attach to the process ...", but it only works if one is running a single instance of the process one wants to attach to. If theres is more than one instance of particular process in memory - the first one (with a smaller PID?) is being choose by debugger. Does anyone have a macro which shows a dialog (if more that 1 process with a specified name running) and lets developer to select to one he/she really wants to attach to. I guess the selection could be made based on a windwow caption text (which would be suffice in most of cases) and when the particular instance is selected macro passes the PID of the process to the Debugger object? If someone has that macro or knows how to write it - please share. Thanks.
