    I understand how to make a dropdown list. I understand how to make conditional formatting change the color of a cell. What I do not understand is how to make conditional formatting change the color of a cell based solely on the state of another cell (not a comparison). A1 is a No / Yes dropdown list B1 is a criteria statement If the user satisfies the criteria statement in B1, they select Yes on the dropdown list in A1. For quick reference, if possible, I'd like B1 to change to a green background color on this event... and of course change back to no-fill if the dropdown is reset to No. Is this possible in Excel 2003 and/or 2007?

    I have an asp:TextBox with asp:RegularExpressionValidator to validate if it's a number. Obviously an onchange event will be attached to this textbox while rendering. Also I add a change event at $(document).ready to make some calculation when the value is changed. <asp:TextBox id="myText" runat="server" /> <asp:regularexpressionvalidator id="myRev" ControlToValidate="myText" runat="server">*</asp:regularexpressionvalidator> $(document).ready(function(){ $('[id$=myText]').bind('change',function(){ //do something }).change(); //force the change event at the very beginning }); My function will be executed later than the .net generated js because of the register time. But the .net js throws an error. I traced in the js: function ValidatorOnChange(event) { ... } and found that all of event.fromElement,event.toElement,event.srcElement are null which causes the exception. Did I do something wrong? Any solutions? Thanks.

  • Target Framework does not change in Visual Studio 2010

    When I change the target framework of any project in Visual Studio 2010 it does not actually change the System assembly references. For example if I target v2.0 and check the properties of System and System.Data I can see that they are still both v4.0. If i change the target to v3.5, System stays at v4.0 but System.Core changes to v3.5. Because of this I am truly not targeting anything except v4.0.

I want to use jquery to alter some of the links and button locations dynamically. For links within the page I was able to change the href attr values of <a href="/content.asp">more</a> from content.asp to content2.asp using $("a[href^='/content.asp']") .each(function() { this.href = this.href.replace("content.asp", "content2.asp"); }); But the page pulled in also has form buttons that contains javascript onclick functions e.g. <INPUT type="button" value="Add to basket" onClick="document.location='/shopping-basket.asp?mode=add&id_Product=1076';"> I basically want to use jquery to select any such buttons and change the shopping-basket.asp to shopping-basket2.asp How can I select these buttons/onclick functions and change the location string?

I have used underscores as this enum is used in logging and i don't want to incur the overhead of reflection by using custom attribute.We use very heavy logging. Now requirement is to change "LoginFailed_InvalidAttempt1" to "LoginFailed Attempt1". If i change this enum, i will have to change its value across application. I can replace underscore by a space inside logging SP.     I have DHTML content inside a fieldset. This includes plain html, nested objects (even other fieldsets), and value change of input, select, and textarea objects. I'd like to change the border of the fieldset if the contents have been changed. The following works: $('fieldset[name=qsfs127]').children('input').change(function(){ $(this).parent('fieldset').css({border:'1px solid red'}); }) This handles the input; I can extend it to select and textarea. Questions: How can I do the same for html changes? Can all of this change-tracking be done by comparing current html() to stored one? If yes for (2), will this handle cases of "undo"?     Huge thanks for the help in this thread - Click td, select radio button in jQuery But now I'm having trouble that it won't change the class of the cell, even though I have binded the 'change' trigger in jQuery like so: $("td input[type=radio]").bind('change click', function () { $('td').removeClass('selected'); $(this).parent('td').addClass('selected'); }); $("td").click(function () { $('input:radio', this).attr('checked', true); }); Hope that makes sense. If you click the radio button, or move between them using the keyboard, the cell's class changes just fine. However if you trigger this by clicking the cell it doesn't change the class :( Thanks
