  • How to view TV Tuner component input with OpenCV?

    Hi Everyone, I'm trying to use my tvtuner instead of a webcam with opencv. The problem is that by default cvCaptureFromCAM(0) gives me the tv channel of the tv tuner, but what I actually want the input from my the RCA input of the tv tuner. I have tried usingcvCaptureFromCAM(-1) to check if there are additional camera devices found within the tvtuner, but it only gives me the general tvtuner as an option. Is there a way to change the channel of the input?

  • Alpha blending in Silverlight

    I have noticed that Silverlight uses alpha-blending channel for colors for example #FF000000, being the FF the alpha channel of the color. The problem I am currently facing is that I'm doing some neat UI changes to an app and the colors from Photoshop to silverlight don't look the same. I know im using the correct colors but every colors looks washed out, on Silverlight. Anyone knows how silverlight manages colors?

    i would like to implement 'drawing modes' (in my own graphics library). That is drawing with AND, OR, etc However i am storing colors using floats, each channel between 0 and 1.0 Do i have to first convert each color channel to 0-255 before i can use the AND, OR, etc drawing modes? and then convert back to float (0.0-1.0) ? Or is there another way of doing it? thanks

    I'm trying to get NIC bonding to work with balance-rr so that three NIC ports are combined, so that instead of getting 1 Gbps we get 3 Gbps. We are doing this on two servers connected to the same switch. However, we're only getting the speed of one physical link. We are using 1 Dell PowerConnect 5324, SW version 2.0.1.3, Boot version 1.0.2.02, HW version 00.00.02.   • BIND no longer responds to AXFR Requests

    Recently we moved our primary external DNS server. It has three caching DNS slaves in front of it provided by our ISP. They've told us they've started getting access denied requests when doing zone transfers (AXFR). If I add in my own IPs to the allow-transfer list, I also get a transfer failed when using dig with the AXFR argument.     Recently sp_blitz procedure on one of my OLTP servers returned alarming notification about high latency on one of the disks (more than 100ms per IO). Our chief storage guy didn’t understand what I was talking about – according to his measures, average latency is only about 15ms.   • Title of person reporting to CEO responsible for strategy and projects [closed]

    Case in point: What is the title of the person reporting directly to the CEO and/or CTO, responsible for the overall technical strategy and the overall responsibility for all projects and programs among multiple teams (being led by team leads) in a tech company I'm thinking that it is a mix of a staff and line position - making chief architect being too advisory and not matching the project/program part and VP of engineering a bit too high level?
