I have tried changing SelectedItem and SelectedIndex in Code, Clicking aimlessly on the ListView both on and off the row and are at the brink of insanity. Does anyone know of a solution so that I am able to change the selected item!! Help Please

  • c# Properties.Settings.Default Doesn't work as expected

    - by Jack
I've been working on a program to automate my backup checks with LogMeIn backup (a windows forms based program). I now need a way to store user settings, to save information easily. I've never worked with the Application/User settings that is somewhat "built-in" - and decided to try it, but ran into problems. I added four settings for now: IncludeCriteria (Specialized.StringCollection) ExcludeCriteria (Specialized.StringCollection) ReportPath (string) ReportType (int) But the behavior doesn't act as expected (go figure). After saving some values in my program, I go back into edit/view my settings values using the VS 2008 settings editor. None of my values are stored. While I think this may be because those values are just default values, wouldn't that be where they can be stored/read/changed? Here is my load form code (still very unrefined): private void setupForm() { txtPath.Text = BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ReportPath == null ? "" : BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ReportPath; if (BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ReportType == 0) { radioHTML.Checked = true; } else radioExcel.Checked = true; if (BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.IncludeCriteria.Count > 0) { listIncludeCriteria.DataSource = Properties.Settings.Default.IncludeCriteria; //foreach (string s in Properties.Settings.Default.IncludeCriteria) // listIncludeCriteria.Items.Add(s); } if (BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ExcludeCriteria.Count > 0) { listExcludeCriteria.DataSource = BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ExcludeCriteria; //foreach (string s in Properties.Settings.Default.ExcludeCriteria) // listExcludeCriteria.Items.Add(s); } } listIncludeCriteria is just a listbox. When the user saves I call this method: private void saveSettings() { //var settings = BackupReport.Properties.Settings; if (txtPath.Text != "") { BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ReportPath = txtPath.Text; } if (listIncludeCriteria.Items.Count > 0) { //BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.IncludeCriteria = (StringCollection)listIncludeCriteria.Items.AsQueryable(); foreach (var i in listIncludeCriteria.Items) { if (!isIncludeDuplicate(i.ToString())) BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.IncludeCriteria.Add(i.ToString()); } } if (listExcludeCriteria.Items.Count > 0) { //BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ExcludeCriteria = (StringCollection)listExcludeCriteria.Items.AsQueryable(); foreach (var i in listExcludeCriteria.Items) { if (!isExcludeDuplicate(i.ToString())) Properties.Settings.Default.ExcludeCriteria.Add(i.ToString()); } } if (radioExcel.Checked == true) BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ReportType = 1; else BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.ReportType = 0; BackupReport.Properties.Settings.Default.Save(); //Properties.Settings.Default.Save(); this.DialogResult = DialogResult.OK; this.Close(); } The wierd thing is when the form loads, the path I put in the first time seems to come up (ReportPath) - even the listBoxes are populated with a bunch of crap I put in - yet I cant find these values anywhere. Any help would be appreciated! Josh

  • Adding empty string to RadComboBox

    - by icemanind
Guys, I have a webpage that has a Telerik RadComboBox on the page. One of the properties of this ComboBox is EmptyMessage, which fills the combobox with a message when an item is not selected. I am binding my combobox to a datasource at runtime and for some reason, it wipes this EmptyMessage away. Is there a way to keep my data items in tact and have the empty message there too? And default it to the empty message?

  • How to connect to MS Access 2007, from Java on a mac

    - by aabrook
I'm looking for a way to connect to a MS Access 2007 database from Java. I don't believe the ODBC way is available to me as I'm writing on a mac and will be pushing this product to Linux. The HXTT drivers also do not work with 2007. Is there a way, a tutorial, an example, etc that accomplishes this? Setting the connection as a JNDI Datasource is preferable but not required

  • For a .NET winforms datagridview I would like a combobox column to have a different set of values for each row.

    - by Seth Spearman
Hello, I have a DataGridView that I am binding to a POCO. I have the databinding working fine. However, I have added a combobox column that I want to be different for each row. Specifically, I have a grid of purchased items, some of which have sizes (like Adult XL, Adult L) and other items are not sized (like Car Magnet.) So essentially what I want to change is the DATA SOURCE for a combobox column in the data grid. Can that be done? What event can I hook into that would allow me to change properties of certain columns FOR EACH ROW? An acceptable alternative is to change a property when the user clicks or tabs into the row. What event is that? Seth EDIT I need more help with this question. With Triduses help I am SO close but I need a bit more information. First, per the question, is the CellFormatting event really the best/only event for changing the DataSource for a combo box column. I ask because I am doing something rather resource/data intensive, not merely formatting the cell. Second, the cellformatting event is being called just by having the mouse hover over the cell. I tried to set the FormattingApplied property inside my if-block and then I check for it in the if- test but that is returning a weird error message. My ideal situation is that I would apply change the data source for the combo box once for each row and then be done with it. Finally, in order to set the data source of the combobox colunm I have to be able to cast the Cell inside my if block to a type of DataGridViewComboBoxColumn so that I can fill it with rows or set the datasource or something. Here is the code I have right now. Private Sub ProductsDataGrid_CellFormatting(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs) Handles ProductsDataGrid.CellFormatting If e.ColumnIndex = ProductsDataGrid.Columns("SizeDGColumn").Index Then ' AndAlso Not e.FormattingApplied Then Dim product As LeagueOrderProductInfo = DirectCast(ProductsDataGrid.Rows(e.RowIndex).DataBoundItem, LeagueOrderProductInfo) Dim sizes As LeagueOrderProductSizeList = product.ProductSizes sizes.RemoveSizeFromList(_parentOrderDetail.SizeID) 'WHAT DO I DO HERE TO FILL THE COMBOBOX COLUMN WITH THE sizes collection. End If End Sub Please help. I am completely stuck and this task item should have taken an hour and I am 4+ hours in now. BTW, I am also open to resolving this by taking a completely different direction with it (as long as I can be done quickly.) Seth

  • UITableView not getting populated

    - by jayshree430
Hi. I have a peculiar problem. I created a normal Objective c class called SampleTable. I then extended UITableView instead of NSObject. Then in the initWithFrame constructor i initialized the table. I also made a NSMutableArray object for the datasource. I also conformed UITableViewDelegate and UITableViewDatasource. I have overridden the necessary methods also. Now i made an object of this class in another class, and added the object as a subview. The tableView is getting drawn according to the CGRectMake() coordinates i gave to the initWithFrame constructor. But it is not getting populated with the data. I dnt know what the problem is . Can plz someone help me. SampleTable.h #import @interface SampleTable : UITableView { NSMutableArray *ItemArray; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *ItemArray; -(NSMutableArray *) displayItemArray; @end SampleTable.m #import "SampleTable.h" @implementation SampleTable @synthesize ItemArray; -(id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frm { [super initWithFrame:frm]; self.delegate=self; self.dataSource=self; [self reloadData]; return self; } -(NSMutableArray *) displayItemArray { if(ItemArray==nil) { ItemArray=[[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"1",@"2",@"3",@"4",@"5",nil]; } return ItemArray; } (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView { return 1; } (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { return [ItemArray count]; } (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell"; UITableViewCell *cell= [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; if (cell==nil) { cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; [cell autorelease]; } NSString *temp=[self.ItemArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; cell.textLabel.text = temp; return cell; } (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSLog(@"didselect"); } -(void) dealloc { [ItemArray release]; [super dealloc]; } @end

  • iphone Three20 TTMessageController Address Book

    - by Ward
Hey there, I'm trying to use the TTMessageController from Three20 to send messages through a custom web service. I'm not clear on how I can incorporate contacts from the user's address book. I see the model mock address book in the sample app, but the sample only contains names. Is there a way to set the datasource of TTMessageController to be the address book? Thanks, Howie

  • Spring JPA and persistence.xml

    - by bmw0128
    I'm trying to set up a Spring JPA Hibernate simple example WAR for deployment to Glassfish. I see some examples use a persistence.xml file, and other examples do not. Some examples use a dataSource, and some do not. So far my understanding is that a dataSource is not needed if I have: <persistence-unit name="educationPU" transaction-type="JTA"> <provider>org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence</provider> <class>com.coe.jpa.StudentProfile</class> <properties> <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" /> <property name="hibernate.connection.url" value="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/COE" /> <property name="hibernate.connection.username" value="root" /> <property name="show_sql" value="true" /> <property name="dialect" value="org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect" /> </properties> </persistence-unit> I can deploy fine, but my EntityManager is not getting injected by Spring. My applicationContext.xml: <bean id="entityManagerFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.LocalEntityManagerFactoryBean"> <property name="persistenceUnitName" value="educationPU" /> </bean> <bean id="transactionManager" class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.JpaTransactionManager"> <property name="entityManagerFactory" ref="entityManagerFactory" /> </bean> <bean class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.support.PersistenceAnnotationBeanPostProcessor" /> <tx:annotation-driven transaction-manager="transactionManager" /> <bean id="StudentProfileDAO" class="com.coe.jpa.StudentProfileDAO"> <property name="entityManagerFactory" ref="entityManagerFactory" /> </bean> <bean id="studentService" class="com.coe.services.StudentService"> </bean> My class with the EntityManager: public class StudentService { private String saveMessage; private String showModal; private String modalHeader; private StudentProfile studentProfile; private String lastName; private String firstName; @PersistenceContext(unitName="educationPU") private EntityManager em; @Transactional public String save() { System.out.println("*** em: " + this.em); //em is null this.studentProfile= new StudentProfile(); this.saveMessage = "saved"; this.showModal = "true"; this.modalHeader= "Information Saved"; return "successs"; } My web.xml: <listener> <listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class> Are there any pieces I am missing to have Spring inject "em" in to StudentService?

I am trying to combine multiple audit tables, and then filter the results into an excel sheet. The Union All and parameters make the query in excess of 1200 characters. It appears the string is truncated when running this. What recommendations can anyone make. I have no control over the database structure and am only reading foxpro free tables. I am permitted table creation but can write into the excel sheet connecting to the datasource Thanks for suggestions

  • Blackberry Player, custom data source

    - by Alex
Hello I must create a custom media player within the application with support for mp3 and wav files. I read in the documentation i cant seek or get the media file duration without a custom datasoruce. I checked the demo in the JDE 4.6 but i have still problems... I cant get the duration, it return much more then the expected so i`m sure i screwed up something while i modified the code to read the mp3 file locally from the filesystem. Somebody can help me what i did wrong ? (I can hear the mp3, so the player plays it correctly from start to end) I must support OSs = 4.6. Hi We are looking into using the JdbcTemplate for accessing the DB - but we have many different DB-connections, that each class could use, so injecting the jdbcTemplate is not an option atm. So if we do a jdbcTemplate = new JdbcTemplate(dataSource); what will the transaction policy be? Auto-commit is off in the DB.
