But i just cant figure it out...!! Maybe its a math thing, but its never been a strength of mine let alone program with calculus. Also the Mclaurin fails, how does it equal zero? WTF! Please help correct my noobish code. I am still a beginner...

  • How do I fix JavaHL (JNI) Not available after I have changed the logon password on my Mac?

    I have installed Eclipse 3.5.2 and the plugin Subversion JavaHL Native Library Adapter 1.6.9.2 and this worked without any problems. However, this morning I was forced to change the password to logon to my Mac and since then I get the message that "Subversion native library not available" when I try to save any changes. Can anyone help? I have tried to add this line (-Djava.library.path=/usr/lib/jni) to the eclipse.ini file but this didn´t seem to make any difference. Can anyone help?

  • Java Robot key activity seems to stop working while certain software is running

    I'm writing a Java application to automate character actions in an online game overnight (specifically, it catches fish in Final Fantasy XI). The app makes heavy use of java's Robot class both for emulating user keyboard input and for detecting color changes on certain parts of the screen. It also uses multithreading and a swing GUI. The application seems to work perfectly when I test it without the game running, just using screenshots to trigger the apps responses into notepad. But for some reason, when I actually launch FFXI and start the program, all of my keyboard and mouse manipulations just stop working altogether. The program is still running, and the Robot class is still able to read pixel colors. But Robot.keyPress, Robot.keyRelease, Robot.mouseMove, Robot.mousePress and Robot.mouseRelease all do nothing. It's the strangest thing-- to test it, I wrote a simple loop that just keeps typing letters, and focused notepad. I'd then start the game, refocus notepad, and it would do nothing. Then I'd exit the game, and it'd start working again immediately. Has anyone else come across something like this, where specific software will stop certain functions of java from working? Also, to make this more interesting-- Last year I wrote a very similar program using the same classes and programming techniques to automate healing a party in the game as they fight. Last year, this program worked perfectly. After running into these problems I dug up that old program, ran it without making any changes, and found that it too was having the same problems. The only differences between now and when it was working: I was running Windows Vista and now I'm running Windows 7, and several new Java versions as well as FFXI versions have been released.   • Closest Approach question for math/physics heads

    I'm using a Segment to Segment closest approach method which will output the closest distance between two segments of length. These objects are moving at variable speed each, so even when it succeeds I'm currently using a 10-step method and calculating the distance between 2 spheres as they move along the two segments. So, basically the length of each segment is the object's traverse in the physics step, and the radius is the objects radius. By stepping, I can tell where they collide, and if they collide (Sort of; for the MOST part.).. I get the feeling that there could be something better. While I sort of believe that the first closest approach call is required, I think that the method immediately following it is a TAD weak. Can anyone help me out? I can illustrate this if needed.     I've read on wikipedia and other sites about OSGi, but I don't really see the big picture. It says that it's a component based platform, and that you can reload modules at runtime. Also the "practical example" given everywhere is the Eclipse Plugin Framework. My questions are: 1) What is the CLEAR and SIMPLE definition of OSGi? 2) What COMMON PROBLEMS does it solve? By "common problems" I mean problems we face everyday, like "what can OSGi do for making our jobs more efficient/fun/simple" Thanks.

  • There is no attachment in the sent mail by iPhone

    I'm trying to send a recorded sound file as attachment with MFMailComposeViewController. The sound file is OK. The picker shows the correct file name, shows the audio file icon as attachment, sends the mail, but there is no attachment in the result. I attached below the source of the sent mail. There is a "text/plain" content type part instead of "Content-Disposition: attachment;" as expected. This is my code code to define the path and attach the audio file.   • jsfunit with junit 4

    Hi, We would like to test our web application (jsf 1.2, richfaces 3.3.3) with jsfunit. We are using junit 4.8.1 library for our unit tests. But jsfunit (1.2.0.Final) requires non existing class junit.runner.TestSuiteLoader. If i downgrade to junit 3.8, i can't use annotations any my Test classes any more. Is there a solution for it?     Hi everyone. I'm having hard time with Xhtml Strict 1.0 and Css. And I'm almost out of solutions. My Site Url: http://www.pro-turk.net/beta/ I made a jquery multilevel dropdown menu for my site. It looks like OK, but I have used inline-block property of css display attribute on navigation menu which is a part of css 2.1 and isn't supported by some browsers (including ie6 and ie7). I want to make #nav li elements block level elements, but to do this and having all of them in same line, the only way is using float in #nav li. But I want to center them in their parent (the menu bar). So I need something like float:center (I know it's pretty stupid and doesn't exist). But is there a way to include block level elements as children elements without linebreaks (I mean without making a block level element). Regards.

    The string in question (read from a file): if (true) then { _this = createVehicle ["Land_hut10", [6226.8901, 986.091, 4.5776367e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_10 = _this; _this setDir -2.109278; }; Retrieved from a large list of similar (all same file) strings via the following: get_stringR(string,"if","};") And the function code: def get_stringR(a,b,c) b = a.index(b) b ||= 0 c = a.rindex(c) c ||= b r = a[b,c] return r end As so far, this works fine, but what I wanted to do is select the array after "createVehicle", the following (I thought) should work. newstring = get_string(myString,"\[","\];") Note get_string is the same as get_stringR, except it uses the first occurrence of the pattern both times, rather then the first and last occurrence. The output should have been: ["Land_hut10", [6226.8901, 986.091, 4.5776367e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; Instead it was the below, given via 'puts': ["Land_hut10", [6226.8901, 986.091, 4.5776367e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_10 = _this; _this setDir Some 40 characters past the point it should have retrieve, which was very strange... Second note, using both get_string and get_stringR produced the exact same result with the parameters given. I then decided to add the following to my get_string code: b = a.index(b) b ||= 0 c = a.index(c) c ||= b if c 40 then c -= 40 end r = a[b,c] return r And it works as expected (for every 'block' in the file, even though the strings after that array are not identical in any way), but something obviously isn't right :).

What actually happens is the equivalent of this: [self addSubview:detailView]; [mapView removeFromSuperview]; Please help.

    Hey there. I want to use Flip (http://lab.smashup.it/flip/) for one of my projects. But I want the links to make the flip action inside the divs that are going to be flipped. I stumbled across a question here and the reply was very helpful, and by using that codes I managed to achieve what I want. But now the issue is when the page first loads it automatically flips before clicking any link. I don't know much about jQuery. So I would appreciate any help.

It works on firefox, but safari just shows an empty download window. IE also can't get the file. Below is the example link.   • What good timesheet should and shouldn't have for a small (non programming) 50 people company?

    I'm sure most people here had to fill at least one time sheet in their life that made their life miserable, hell it's even the worst time taker ever especially after you have to fill it in hurry. I will be developing some simple TimeSheet application for a small company of 50 people (non programming related, it's actually 4 companies working together) and would like it to be user friendly and as less disturbing as possible. So what in your opinion makes it a good timesheet (lack of it doesn't count :p), what data it should store? Should be only hours per day with possibility to choose project, company and simple overview what you have worked on like: Day 1, 3:00, 'Company 1', 'Project5', 'Name', Short Overview Day 1, 5:00, 'Company 2', 'Project6', 'Name', Short Overview Or should it gather more data? Would it be realy bad if it were an WinForms application considering that I don't know ASP.NET or any other web based language? I would be deploying it using ClickOnce or so.

  • Getting Preferred, Varied Products -- Tough Pseudocode Question

    I have a Dallas client who has given me a tough process to work out. I'm seeking your advice. I use PHP, but the language doesn't matter. We can work this out in pseudocode. In a nutshell, this involves showing products on a page based on matching keyword phrases, and using a preferred product provider, but varying this up so that I try to show products from each provider as much as possible when I can. He has 3 product companies: Amazon, eBay, and Overstock. I already have worked out with the API to get products back in an array via a function. He wants to give the user the preference of which one to use primarily -- so a priority number on each. He wants to display anywhere from 1 to 6 products on a page from them. Let's go with 6 for now in this example to start with. Let's assume Amazon first, then eBay, then Overstock as far as priority. He wants me to attempt to take a keyword phrase and find relevant products (all the keywords found in product title) from Amazon, eBay, and Overstock. If we find 1 product from each provider, he wants me to only display one product from each. But if we run out of a particular provider with a matching product, I start over again and grab another product from another provider until we reach 6 products. If there just aren't 6 relevant products, then I do the best I can -- even if I only display one product. If no relevant products, then I don't display anything.

    So I'm trying to learn C++ and I've gotten as far as using header files. They really make no sense to me.   • SVG <image> doesn't work in <defs> on Chrome

    I want to use image in a group definded in defs tag. But on Chrome nothing works. In Firefox only the .png file is displayd. Only Rectangle apears but with strange bug in Chrome.
