• How to filter Delphi 2010 compiler output (hints)?

  I'm trying to get rid of some hints(*) the Delphi compiler emits. Browsing through the ToolsAPI I see a IOTAToolsFilter that looks like it might help me accomplish this through it's Notifier, but I'm not sure how to invoke this (through what xxxServices I can access the filter). Can anyone tell me if I´m on the right track here? Thanks! (*) In particular, H2365 about overridden methods not matching the case of the parent. Not so nice when you have about 5 million lines of active code with a slightly different code convention than Embarcadero's. We've been working without hints for months now, and we kinda miss 'm. :-)

• How to set a filter for an estimated maximum price

  I cannot figure out how to set an estimated maximum price for a collection of records. What I want to avoid is to simply use SQL MAX, because maybe there are records with exorbitant prices. For example, in the "computers-hardware" category of OLX (http://www.olx.com/computers-hardware-cat-240) the filter for maximum price is estimately set to $1400, but sorting by price, the first items are above $10000 Maybe they calculated the average and then estimated some maximum price... what do you think? And what about the stepping? How would you calculate it?

  By default maven will filter resources like this: <properties> <replace.me>value</replace.me> </properties> <some-tag> <key>${replace.me}</key> </some-tag> will get you: <some-tag> <key>value</key> </some-tag> Is there a way to override the way maven selects the strings to replace? Specifically, I want to be able to use this: <some-tag> <key>@replace.me@</key> </some-tag> to get the same result as above.

  Greetings, I have just starting migrating to WLS 10.x and have noticed that the thread name [%t] for WL is quite verbose and more informative than I need for my deployment needs. Ultimately, I only care about the thread ID but WL gives me this:    [ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' ~ Does anybody know if there is a way in log4j to write a custom filter that will allow me to override PatternLayout so I can parse the WLS Thread Name to just output the thread ID which in this case above is 0. I'd rather extend then customize as it makes upgrading libraries so much easier. Thanks :) - JsD

I have tried to achieve the same result using foreach loops but I believe it should be much easier using LINQ. Can someone please help\advice? When I try to do a JPA query like this: "SELECT p FROM Participant p WHERE p.party.id = :partyKey AND p.name=:participantName" I get the following error Caused by: org.datanucleus.store.appengine.FatalNucleusUserException: SELECT FROM Participant p WHERE p.party.id = :partyKey AND p.name=:participantName: Can only reference properties of a sub-object if the sub-object is embedded. I gave the key of the Party object as a parameter to the "partyKey" named parameter. The model is like this: Party has multiple Participants. I want to query a participant based on the party and the name of the participant. I just can't figure out how to filter using the party. What options do I have?

The function has several parameters: link text And before using FFT it converts image to a special one: The Bandpass Filter uses a special algorithm to reduce edge artifacts (before the Fourier transform, the image is extended in size by attaching mirrored copies of image parts outside the original image, thus no jumps occur at the edges) Can you tell me more about this special transform?   I have two entities in core data (call them entityOne and entityTwo). I have a entityOne<---entityTwo relationship between them. I am now trying to code an NSPredicate to fetch entityTwo objects on the following basis: Fetch entityTwo objects that have a relationship with a specified entityOne object. Filter out those entityTwo objects which have no value for one of their attributes. I am best doing both of these in an NSPredicate or is there a better way?   I have some HUGE log files (50Mb; ~500K lines) I need to start filtering some of the crap out of. The log files are being produced using log4j and have the basic pattern of: [log-level] date-time class etc, etc log-message I'm looking for a way that I can identify a regex start and regex end (or something similar) that will filter out the matching entries from the file so I can more easily wade through these massive files. I'm sure I could write a java program to accomplish this task, but I thought I'd ask the community before going down that path. Thanks in advance.

  I'm trying out StreamInsight and I came across a problem with a query I need. I'm trying to throw a warning if there are several changes in my measured values (of up to 20% change) in the last 30 minutes. This is the query I came up with for now but it isn't working and it's not even correct I think.   I have an SSAS cube containing customers and their purchased memberships (let's say magazines). I want to calculate the retention. I.e. how many customers remain a customer. To do this I specify a set (males, 30yrs, 1 january 2011). I want to see if this set - identified by a customer number - is still present in the following months. I named my set MySet2. What I try to do is: sum(measures.amount, [membership].[name].&[X], MySet2, [date].[date].currentmember) However, the result is incorrect. The number is far to low. I suspect it still tries to account for all the males of 30 years old, but after a year they're not 30 anymore. What am I missing? I looked at scope and filter, but I'm not sure how to apply it.

  Hi all, for a data warehouse project I need to know about some best practices regarding custom report viewer filters/parameters. Usually I use the standard parameter feature for reports, like multiple select boxes, check boxes, text boxes etc.. But for the current project some reports require more complex report parameters. E.g. a user wants to analyze some measures. For that the user needs to set a filter on a specific address. There are over 100.000 address to choose from, so he has to have the ability to search for an address (full text). Since such features cannot be done with the standard parameters, I will have to create custom params within a ASPX page which are then passed to the report viewer control. So my question is: Are there any best practices on how to create custom parameters? Did anyone had similar problems, if so, how did you solve it?

For example: DROPDOWNS Field 1: - value_1 - value_2 Field 2: - value_3 Field 3: - value_4 - value_5 COMBINATIONS - value_1, value_3, value_5 - value_1, value_3, value_4 - value_2, value_3, value_5 When a user selects Field 3 - value_4, the unavailable options will be disabled - ie, Field 1 - value_2 (there is no combination that allows value_2 and value_4 to be selected together). It would be really great if someone could provide some pointers on how this can be achieved or just provide a fresh perspective - I'm going round in circles on this one!

  Okay, I am going to try to make this totally not a "plz send teh codez kthxbai" I am considering an app which takes sound (eventually an audio track) and applies an audio filter to it. So I can play sounds with AudioServicesPlaySystemSound via AudioToolbox framework just fine. What I need is a very simple example of how I might take a sound and apply (for instance) midrange boost etc. Actually the kind of alteration is irrelevant -- if I can get my head around how the alteration is done I can figure out the rest. I am just finding both docs and examples of altering audio in code to be very scarce. Thanks for any help!

  I just recently got the approval to upgrade our project from .NET 1.1. to .NET 4. I loaded up the project in Visual Studio 2010 and I've got it compiled and working. However as is to be expected there are over 3000 warnings I need to start looking at and handling. The problem is this solution has about 20 projects in it. So what I'd like to be able to do is filter the warnings on project. So I could say only show warnings for this project. Does anyone know if this is possible in Visual Studio 2010 or if there is an add-on I can add?

Maybe I am getting the idea of a subclass wrong, but I have a Person model and it has an attrib called "age" so Person.first.age #=> '20' Now I want to have a model that's basically persons 55 or older so I know I can have a class like this: class Senior < Person end But how can I "pre-filter" the Senior class so that every object belonging to that class has age = 55?   Hi. I want to launch my own media player application when I want to watch a video from Youtube. When I write android:scheme="http" and android:host="m.youtube.com" it is OK. But, it asks everywhere in m.youtube.com to open my app. So, it gets annoying. I tried to use pathPattern, pathPrefix and path to solve this but I didn't get ahead. All I want is clearly this: When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F%gl=US#" the intent filter shouldn't launch my app. When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?xl=xl_blazer&v=k3Cdqx1qFX8" my application should be launched. Is there anyone that can help me?

Now if I want to filter those conditions on this list and get the resultant value(without NULL or String.Empty or " " records) what should I do? The results are currently using a TileList & itemRenderer to display, and now I'd like to add an animation effect when the user filters their results. I know that you can use the itemsChangeEffect to create an animation effect when the user drags and moves result itmes.   I've written code to smooth an image using a 3x3 averaging filter, however the output is strange, it is almost all black.   Hi all I dont know if its a django bug or a feature but i have a strange ORM behaviour with MySQL. class Status(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length = 50) class Article(models.Model) status = models.ForeignKey(status, blank = True, null=True) filters = Q(status__in =[0, 1,2] ) | Q(status=None) items = Article.objects.filter(filters) this returns Article items but some have other status than requested [0,1,2,None] looking at the sql query : SELECT [..] FROM `app_article` LEFT OUTER JOIN `app_status` ON (`app_article`.`status_id` = `app_status`.`id`) WHERE (`app_article`.`status_id` IN (1, 2) OR `app_status`.`id` IS NULL) ORDER BY [...] the OR app_status.id IS NULL part seems to be the cause. if i change it to OR app_article.status_id IS NULL it works correctly. How to deal with this ? Thanx.

• How do I use a named_scope to filter records in my model

  I have a model "Product" with a "description" field. Now I want to have a link in the index page that when clicked will show all products where the description is blank (empty). In the model I have defined a named_scope like this named_scope :no_description, :conditions => { :description => "" } I have checked that the named_scope works by calling Product.no_description.count on the console. As far as I know, the controller is then supposed to handle the filter request from the link on the "index" action but be able to distinguish it from the default which is view all products. def index @products = Product.all ... My problem is getting the controller handle the different request, what route to setup for the link on the view and the actual link on the view. Hope I explained my problem.
