    Hi, I have a number of war projects deployed in a single tomcat 5.5 container. They consume each other's services through http, and thus I need to make sure that, when Tomcat is restarted, they are deployed in an specific order. After a couple of hours googlin' around, no luck.     Title says it all :) No, seriously, I'm porting a C++ 32 bit application to 64 bit on windows. The application is a client of IBM WebSphere MQ. It uses the MQ client API.   • Why doesn't ifstream read to the end?

    I'm making a notepad-like program. To get the text from a file I read each character into the buffer by doing while (!file.EOF()) { mystr += file.get(); } however if I load in an exe it stops after MZ but Notepad reads the whole exe. I set my ifstream to binary mode but still no luck. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

    If I wanna authenticate windows accounts to AD when a user browses to an apache-running site on a Linux server, here are the usual suspects:   * mod_ntlm (which I used in a distant past) - last update on 2003 * mod_auth_ntlm_winbind - last update on 04/2007 * mod_auth_kerb - last update on 12/2008 No luck getting any of those to work with a recent, fully patched, windows 2000 AD server. Do you have any clues as to a recipe that does work?  -Peter -- UPDATE my current build environment is this: OS: Ubuntu Lucid Apache 2.2.14 (from repos) the auth modules I recompiled from source.

    My ListView does not refresh its bindings when i call OnPropertyChanged. I have tried to force it to refresh by: NestedArguments.GetBindingExpression(ItemsControl.ItemsSourceProperty).UpdateTarget(); But still, no luck! YES, it does get updated. I have set a breakpoint and checked. What is going on? Other bindings seem to work without a problem

    I’ve been trying to understand some strange values in the RESOURCE_ASSOCIATED_ENTITY_ID column of SYS.DM_TRAN_LOCKS when RESOURCE_TYPE is “OBJECT”. Although these should be object Ids, I cannot determine what object they actually refer to. I’ve tried everything I can think of, including querying all system tables with columns of type INT and BIGINT to see if I can find the value. No luck. The funny values actually appear in SYS.DM_TRAN_LOCKS, SYS.SYSLOCKINFO and SP_LOCK.

  • CSS image float div problem in IE6

    In the bottom cap of this page (bottom with corners) I seem to be having a weird IE6 issue. I've tried Google with no luck, as really, how do you ask this question.     Release notes say that ruby-debug is installed by default. I'm using rvm. In my rails app I figured something as simple as script/server --debugger would suffice, but it complains that the ruby-debug gem isn't installed, suggests using gem install ruby-debug, which of course doesn't work (building native extensions) and is contrary to the docs anyway. Just wondering if anyone's had any luck using the built in ruby-debug in jruby 1.5 and what one needs to do in order run jruby in debug mode
