  • Confused about home screen widget size in normal screen and larget screen

    I am designing a home screen widget. The widget layout file is like below. <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/widget" android:layout_width="240dip" android:layout_height="200dip" android:background="@drawable/base_all" /> I ran this widget on a HTC Hero device, which has a screen of 320 pixels * 480 pixels with mdpi. It ran perfect on HTC Hero. The widget takes 3 cells * 2 cells space, i.e. 240 pixels * 200 pixels. Then I ran this widget on a Nexus One device, which has a screen of 480 pixels * 800 pixels, mdpi. Since Nexus One also is mdpi, so I though 240dip is equivalent to 240 pixels on Nexus One and 200dip is equivalent to 200 pixels on Nexus One, so the widget will not take 3 cells * 2 cells space on Nexus One device. To my surprise, when running on Nexus One device, the widget take exact 3 cells * 2 cells, about 360 pixels * 300 pixels, on Nexus One device. I am confused. The layout xml above specifies 240dip in width and 200dip in height for the widget, but why did it take 360 pixels * 300 pixels on Nexus One Device? What am I missing? Thanks.

    There's a few other posts on mapping Enums to the DB with ActiveRecord, but none of them answer my question. I have an enum called OrderState: public enum OrderState {InQueue, Ordered, Error, Cancelled} And I have the following property on the table: [Property(NotNull = true, SqlType = "orderstate", ColumnType = "DB.EnumMapper, WebSite")] public OrderState State { get { return state; } set { state = value; } } And I have the following type class: public class EnumMapper : NHibernate.Type.EnumStringType<OrderState> { public EnumMapper() { } public override NHibernate.SqlTypes.SqlType SqlType { get { return new NHibernate.SqlTypes.SqlType(DbType.Object); } } } Now this actually works the way I want, but the problem is I have tons of enums and I don't want to create a EnumMapper class for each one of them. Isn't there some way to just tell ActiveRecord to use DbType.Object for any enum? It seems to either want to be an integer or a string, but nothing else. This one's been driving me crazy for the last 2 hours.. Mike

  • Mapping <C-Tab> in my vimrc fails in Ubuntu

    I want to map ctrl-tab to :tabn, and ctrl-shift-tab to :tabp. I had it working for gVim in Windows XP, but moved it to my .vimrc in Ubuntu 9.10 and it doesn't work (vim 7.2). Here's the relevant section of my .vimrc: nmap <C-Tab> :tabn<CR> nmap <C-S-Tab> :tabp<CR> nmap <C-t> :tabnew<CR> <C-t> works fine, so mapping the ctrl key doesn't seem to be a problem. I really have no idea where to start! What could be going wrong here, considering it worked fine under Windows?

  • SharpArchitecture: Using FNH's ClassMaps instead of auto mapping

    I need to use ClassMaps instead of auto mapping because of legacy database. But I don't see how to tune SharpArch to use them. I tried to remove AutoPersistentModelGenerator and use the following code in the InitializeNHibernateSession method: var config = NHibernateSession.Init(webSessionStorage, new[]{"ApplicationConfiguration.Models.dll"}); Fluently.Configure(config) .Mappings(m => { m.FluentMappings.AddFromAssemblyOf<ConfigSchema>(); }); But I always get MappingException - "No persister for: ConfigSchema" when trying to work with the ConfigSchema. Has anyone tried to do this?

  • WPF Textbox "normal" text input

    G'day, I'm not sure if this is a problem relevant to only me or if anyone else has this issue also. None the less, I'll try and describe what is going on here. I have a few textbox's, default style, etc. I set an explicit maxwidth and maxheight to prevent resize when the text exceeds the default width of the textbox. The issue is that the text wraps to the next line, but I only want single line. So I set maxlines to 1 and textwrapping to NoWrap. That's fine. Now the carat and typed text disappears under the edges of the textbox when the width is exceeded and the only way I can get the carat and newly typed text back into view is by pressing the left and right arrows. Coming from MFC and using textboxes all the time with HTML, I would have thought the default behaviour would be to have the textbox content scroll with the carat or am I missing something here?     I have 3 data graphs that are painted via the their paint events. When I have data that I need to insert into the graph I call the controls invalidate() command. The first control's paint event actually creates a bitmap buffer for the other 2 graphs to avoid repeating a long loop. So the invalidate commands are in a specific order (1,2,3). This works well, however when the graphed data reaches the end of the graph window (PictureBox) where the data would normally start scrolling, the paint events begin firing in the wrong order (2,3,1). has anyone came across this before? why might this be happening?

  • Mapping of memory addresses to physical modules in Windows XP

    I plan to run 32-bit Windows XP on a workstation with dual processors, based on Intel's Nehalem microarchitecture, and triple channel RAM. Even though XP is limited to 4 GB of RAM, my understanding is that it will function with more than 4 GB installed, but will only expose 4 GB (or slightly less). My question is: Assuming that 6 GB of RAM is installed in six 1 GB modules, which physical 4 GB will Windows actually map into its address space? In particular: Will it use all six 1 GB modules, taking advantage of all memory channels? (My guess is yes, and that the mapping to individual modules within a group happens in hardware.) Will it map 2 GB of address space to each of the two NUMA nodes (as each processor has it's own memory interface), or will one processor get fast access to 3 GB of RAM, while the other only has 1 GB?     Hi, We have a requirement to upload documents to a specific SharePoint document library when a document is sent via email to a specific email address. I think SharePoint has this feature available. What I would like to know more importantly is mapping the information in the body of the email to the custom properties of the document. For example, if a custom field (property) is added to the document in SharePoint say - "Year". I provide the value of this property within the body of the email and attach the document in email. Is it possible that the provided value in the body of the email for the property is updated in SharePoint when the document is uploaded to SharePoint through email? We are using SharePoint 2007.     I have a column in a PostgreSql database that is defined with type boolean[]. I wish to map this to a Java entity property using Hibernate 3.3.x. However, I cannot find a suitable Java type that Hibernate is happy to map to. I thought that the java.lang.Boolean[] would be the obvious choice, but Hibernate complains: Caused by: org.hibernate.HibernateException: Wrong column type in schema.table for column mycolumn. Found: _bool, expected: bytea at org.hibernate.mapping.Table.validateColumns(Table.java:284) at org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration.validateSchema(Configuration.java:1130) I have also tried the following property types without success: java.lang.String java.lang.boolean[] java.lang.Byte[] How can I map this column?

My mapping is like bellow: public class Matricula { [BelongsTo("IdTurma", NotNull=True)] public Turma {get;set;} } public class Turma { [BelongsTo("IdCurso", NotNull=True)] public Curso {get;set;} } public class Curso { [PrimaryKey("IdCurso", Generator=PrimaryKeyType.Identity)] public int IdCurso{get;set;} } The problem is: The Nh generates the query with left where should be inner. Between Matricula and Turma they makes inner, but between Turma and Curso they makes left outer. What's problem? What's wrong?

    Hello Experts, Application : I am working on one mid-large size application which will be used as a product, we need to decide on our DAL layer. Application UI is in Silverlight and DAL layer is going to be behind service layer. We are also moving ahead with domain model, so our DB tables and domain classes are not having same structure. So patterns like Data Mapper and Repository will definitely come into picture. I need to design DAL Layer considering below mentioned factors in priority manner Speed of Development with above average performance Maintenance Future support and stability of the technology Performance Limitation : 1) As we need to strictly go ahead with microsoft, we can not use NHibernate or any other ORM except EF 4.0 2) We can use any code generation tool (Should be Open source or very cheap) but it should only generate code in .Net, so there would not be any licensing issue on per copy basis. Questions I read so many articles about EF 4.0, on outset it looks like that it is still lacking in features from NHibernate but it is considerably better then EF 1.0 So, Do you people feel that we should go ahead with EF 4.0 or we should stick to ADO .Net and use any code geneartion tool like code smith or any other you feel best Also i need to answer questions like what time it will take to port application from EF 4.0 to ADO .Net if in future we stuck up with EF 4.0 for some features or we are having serious performance issue. In reverse case if we go ahead and choose ADO .Net then what time it will take to swith to EF 4.0 Lastly..as i was going through the article i found the code only approach (with POCO classes) seems to be best suited for our requirement as switching is really easy from one technology to other. Please share your thoughts on the same and please guide on the above questions

  • Mapping to a JSON method with url-pattern

    I'm creating a Spring MVC application that will have a controller with 'RequestMapping'-annotated methods, including a JSON method. It currently has static content that resides in webapps/static, and the app itself resides in webapps/myapp. I assume that Catalina's default servlet is handling the static content, and my *.htm url-pattern in web.xml is returning the request for my JSP page, but I haven't been able to get the JSON method to be called. How do I write the url-pattern in the servlet mapping to do so? Using /* has not worked; it prevents the app from being accessed at all. Is there anything else to be aware of? EDIT: The url-pattern '/' appears to allow the JSON request through, because a 406 error is returned. What then would need to be modified to allow JSON to be returned?

  • Weird mapping error in linq-to-sql dbml file in VS2010

    Since I switched to VS2010, several times a day I get a compilation error in my dbml file: DBML1005: Mapping between DbType 'bigint' and Type 'MyNamespace.SecurityToken' in Column 'SecurityToken' of Type 'Employee' is not supported When I restart VS2010 the error disappears. I have no problems running my application using this dbml file (specifically, there are no problems getting correct values inside the SecurityToken property of Employee objects). The SecurityToken property is of an enum type defined as follows: [Flags] public enum SecurityToken : long { None = 1, Admin = 2, ...... } The SecurityToken column in the database is of type bigint. Am I missing something? It's especially weird that the error only happens sometimes, when I'm writing code that isn't related at all to the LINQ model.

I want to select all computers from a table, but when I pass a computer id to the sp, I want to get only this computer. Actually I try this on DECLARE @ComputerFilter AS INT DECLARE @ComputerID AS INT SELECT Computername FROM Computer WHERE (ComputerID = @ComputerID) OR (@ComputerFilter IS NULL)) But this is 100 times slow then this statment and tooks as long as SELECT * FROM Computer SELECT Computername FROM Computer WHERE ComputerID = @ComputerID Is there a way to speed this statment up or is there any other way to solve this problem with one select und without dynamic sql?

  • Implementing a normal website inside ASP.NET MVC 2

    I have a website consisting of an index.html, a number of style sheet files as well as some javascript files. Then I needed a way for this site to communicate efficiently with a Microsoft SQL Server, so I was recommended to use the MVC framework to facilitate that kind of communication. I created the C#.net controller code needed to output the necessary information from the database using URL parameters, so now I am trying to put the whole web-site together inside the MVC framework. I started an empty project-template in MVC 2 framework. I'm sure there must be a good way to implement the current code into this framework, but I am very uncertain as to what the best approach to this would be. Could anyone point me in the right direction here? I'm not sure whether I need to change any of the current HTML, or exactly what to add to it. I'd love to see some kind of guide or tutorial, or just any advice I can get as I try to learn this. Any help is very much appreciated!
