  I have a console application in which I want to write the name of a file. Process.Start("blah.bat"); Normally, I would have something like that in windows application by writing the name of the file 'blah.bat' to Settings file in Properties. However, here I didn't find any Settings file and I added an app.config for the same purpose. I am not sure what to write here in app.config, that would lead to me to achieve similar thing as in windows forms. For eg: In windows forms. Process.Start(Properties.Settings.Default.BatchFile); where BatchFile is a string in settings file in Properties.

  Hey, I want to write a program that outputs a list of libraries that I should link to given source code (or object) files (for C or C++ programs). In *nix, there are useful tools such as sdl-config and llvm-config. But, I want my program to work on Windows, too. Usage: get-library-names -l /path/to/lib a.cpp b.cpp c.cpp d.obj Then, get-library-names would get a list of function names that are invoked from a.cpp, b.cpp, c.cpp, and d.obj. And, it'll search all library files in /path/to/lib directory and list libraries that are needed to link properly. Is there such tool already written? Is it not trivial to write a such tool? How do you find what libraries you should link to? Thanks.

  I have two machines connected. The server is S1 and the client is C1. section: aliases C1.wcu.edu: C1 end section: links S1: right = C1.wcu.edu C1.wcu.edu: left = S1 end When I start Synergy on both machines, the connection is made but I get the subject WARNING message on the server constantly. On the client, I get the three messages below. • Watchguard config, drop-in or mixed-routing mode?

  I have a Watchguard XTM 2 that is currently acting as a firewall and a router for my business network, I currently have the WG setup in mixed-routing mode and am happy with the current configuration. The reason I am curious about drop-in mode is because I would like to use all the interfaces on the back of the watchguard for the same subnet. My understanding is that drop-in mode will put them all on the same subnet, but it is unclear from the manual that the routing/firewall/vpn will still work as expected. This WG is right behind a DSL modem that is setup in bridge mode, so the WG is handling all PPPoE auth and routing for the network.

  I'm trying to set up SSL, with SNI, in my apache and am getting the often-seen "ssl_error_rx_record_too_long" error in Firefox when accessing the site (https://test.me.dev.xxxx.net), from which I can conclude that the server is listening on port 443, but doesn't know to use SSL on it. The server is Ubuntu 9.04 with Apache 2.2.11 I enabled SSL in the default way (a2enmod ssl). • OSSIM - Snort/OSSEC/Nagios Logging Config Question

  Quick n00b OSSIM question. I've looked around but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I currently have a Nagios, OSSEC, Nessus, and Snort server and I want to keep those servers active but just ship the logs to the OSSIM server and have it do the correlating and graphing. Can that be done? Everything I've seen is putting the various software functions actually on the OSSIM box but I don't want to do that. I'm running CentOS on all of the systems. Thanks.

  Trying to get these two vhosts set up correctly. I have two sites on this domain that i'm hosting: www.example.com/example.com and test.example.com. How do I get both of these to work in my vhost definitions? I have: $HTTP["host"] == "test.example.com" { and $HTTP["host"] =~ "(^|.)example.com$" { (I think this is for *.example.com) It always goes to the second one, even if I am trying to go to test.example.com. I need to be able to host www.example.com/example.com and test.example.com

  Hi All I have been given an RVO16 to play with. I'm multihomed and I'd like to set it up so that my primary, highest bandwidth link receives all traffic and the other connection is a hot spare basically. I want them both online but only the primary 1 used until it goes down then all traffic should automatically failover to the secondary link. Those of you that have played on an RVO16, can I do this and if so, how? I imagine I'd have it act as a router and pad the route on one so that the other is never used unless the primary is down.   I'm unable to do the following nginx.conf rewrite: test.mysite.info to: mysite.info/test here's what i've tried: server { server_name test.mysite.info; rewrite ^ https://mysite.info/test/$request_uri; } I know my DNS (Route53 AWS) is correct b/c: test.mysite.info redirects to mysite.info (just not mysite.info/test) I have an Apache server handling mysite.com which using .htaccess I can rewrite test.mysite.com to mysite.com/test. I haven't changed anything else from the default nginx.conf installation so I'm totally confused as to why such a simple thing isn't working. Here is my full nginx.conf file if that is helpful.

• localhost won't load after adding config data to httpd

  I am not very experienced with configuring httpd, and I am following a tutorial to view my site w/ domain name under localhost. My localhost just blanks out and my apache services won't restart. I checked all of my paths and they are correct. I am editing the w*indows/system32/drivers/etc/host*s file and my apache httpd file. • upstart config to start sync daemon as non-root user

  I am planning to use inosync to sync data from master server to several client servers. I have created a user called rsyncuser in both master and slaves with access permissions and passwordless ssh access from master to slave servers. Inosync is working when I use it from the command line as rsyncuser. Next I want this to start automatically when server is turned on. I figured upstart is the way to get this working. I am unable to find the right upstart command to get this working. Here is my upstart conf file. The problem seems to be around running "inosync -d -c /etc/inosync/inosync_rsyncuser.py" as a given user. • customErrors="RemoteOnly" not working properly in Server 2008

  It would appear that on my brand new Windows Server 2008 with IIS7, customErrors is not working. We have customErrors set to RemoteOnly in the web.config on our Asp.Net sites and applications. However, no matter what we do, it would appear that our sites act like it's set to On and we can't get any detailed messages showing up on our applications when remoted into our servers. I'm not entirely sure how to trace where this is being overrided, or if there is something in the way the server is configured that would make the server think the request is internal? How does this actually resolve correctly, anyway? Any help is appreciated... Our network admin has added domains to our hosts file to direct applications to the IP address.

  Local Vagrant machine installed at ip address 10.0.0.23 and hostname lamp-vm. Using vagrant ssh I can connect just fine and do everything I need. This creates an ERROR - ssh vagrant@lamp-vm -v -v and I get debug1: connect to address 10.0.0.23 port 22: Connection timed out ssh: connect to host lamp-vm port 22: Connection timed out My etc/hosts file contains 10.0.0.23 lamp-vm. • Good/Better config for MySQL on an EC2 Large Instance

  I have an EC2 Large instance dedicated to MySQL. It will be serving a Joomla/Magento combo so it has a blend of InnoDB and MyISAM tables. I have only worked with MyISAM in the past and am therefore unfamiliar with the settings InnoDB uses. Experiments so far have been less than fruitful, as I keep causing the InnoDB engine to be disabled. My instance is running Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit server edition and has ~7.5G of ram. MySQL is currently using ~0.6% of that, with somewhat poor performance. I would like to configure it to use as much of the system RAM as is reasonable. Testing some settings I learned that the InnoDB logs can't collectively be larger than 4G. Would anyone be able to provide some base InnoDB and MyISAM settings to get my started. Thank you Tim

• How can I tell what Apache modules are available to me?

  I'm currently reading 'Definitive Guide to Apache mod_rewrite' and throughout the book there are other Apache modules mentioned that are better alternatives in given scenarios. This has got me wondering what all is installed on my site. I don't have SSH access to the server, and I don't have access to any of the config files (afaik). Is there any way for me to determine what is installed, or do I have to directly ask my host? I suppose certain commands could be run inside PHP (i.e. using backticks), but I'm not sure what the limitations of that are. Thanks.

• Changing the mac address in a libvirt xml config file breaks network connectivity for the guest

  I'm using Xen with libvirt and trying to set it up on a bridged interface. I am able to install an OS and everything works as I would expect. If I save the xml output from "virsh dumpxml guest", edit the mac address for the interface, and then define the domU with this new xml file I find that traffic is no longer forwarded from the vif0.0 interface to br0. The ifcfg-eth0 file on the guest was automatically updated to reflect the new mac address and the ifconfig output looks the same. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to properly change the mac address for a libvirt configuration?

  How can I programmatically get the wireless LAN configuration of a machine and use netsh to setup new profile? I am having trouble getting the netsh command to set the ssid of a new card. I installed the drivers and plugged it in. I see in ipconfig it says the "media is disconnected" (fair enough). I then send the following command netsh wlan connect name=profile1 ssid=myNetwork interface="Wireless Network Connection 2" problem is I get an error "There is no profile "profile1" assigned to the specified interface. What is a profile for a wireless card? What should I set it to? How can I get my SSID set and connected for the card?

• Config xampp never to cache pages from localhost

  Hello everyone: I am not a webmaster, and that was exactly the reason why I installed XAMPP 1.7.2 on Windows XP SP2 instead of manually configuring Apache, MySQL and PHP to cooperate each other. Now I am having to problem to disable caching pages from localhost. Some suggested just force the browser not to cache, using Firefox web developer bar or something similar; but I feel it would be better if I could configure the Apache server in XAMPP to never allow pages from localhost to be cached. I guess this is done somewhere in httpd.conf? LoadModule cache_module modules/mod_cache.so Would this module be helpful in this case? Doc here : mod_cache I am not very sure this would resolve the problem. Could anyone confirm this approach feasible? I'd like to work it out myself, given the fact that I am on the right track...
