    I noticed that we always just are like: SmtpClient mSmtpClient = new SmtpClient(); // Send the mail message mSmtpClient.Send(mMailMessage); And the only place the credentials are set are in web.config: <system.net> <mailSettings> <smtp> <network host="xxx.xx.xxx.229" userName="xxxxxxxx" password="xxxxxxxx"/> </smtp> </mailSettings> </system.net> So my question is, how does it automagically get them out?

    I have an entity framework query as follows; From T In Db.MyTable Where (T.Col1 - T.Col2) + T.Col3 - T.Col4 > 0 _ Select T I now need to make sure that the bracketed part '(T.Col1 - T.Col2)' does not go below zero. In .Net, I'd code it as follows (but obviously EF does not like Math.Max). From T In Db.MyTable Where Math.Max(T.Col1 - T.Col2,0) + T.Col3 - T.Col4 > 0 _ Select T Is there an easy way to do this?     Hi, I have the following code. And my problem is that when clicking, the event is firing but the argument passed is not the correct one. It is passing the last dynamically created row i.e. dataStructure.length value.   • Saving a 'Date' using DataMapper on AppEngine+JRuby

    I have a a model as follows: class Total include DataMapper::Resource property :id, Serial property :amount, Float, :default => 0.00 property :day, Date belongs_to :calendar end I am trying to select a specific Total from the data-store. class Calendar include DataMapper::Resource property :id, Serial property :name, String has n, :totals def get_total_for(date) return Total.first(:day => date, :calendar => self) end end When I call get_total_for(DateTime.now) I receive the following error on the call to the data-store. java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: day: org.jruby.RubyObject is not a supported property type. Is Date not allowed for usage in AppEngine? Is this a DataMapper issue? I have tried changing the name of the :day property to something else (hoping it was just a name conflict) but it doesn't seem to matter. Thanks for any help you can provide.

We set a breakpoint at line of "beep", then lunch the test application under ide debug mode, when ide stops at the breakpoint line (qry.post has been executed), at this time we use microsoft access to open test.mdb and open table aaa you will find there are no any changes in table aaa, if you let the ide continue running after pressing f9 you can find a new record is inserted in to table aaa, but if you press ctrl+f2 to terminate the application at the breakpoint, you will find the table aaa has no record been inserted, but in normal circumstance, a new record should be inserted in to the table aaa after qry.post executed. who can explain this problem , it troubles me so long time. thanks !!! BTW, the ide is delphi 2010, and the access mdb file is created by microsoft access 2007 under windows 7

  • MVC3 View For Loop values initialization

    So I have a for loop in my View that is supposed to render out the input boxes. Now inside these input boxes I want to put lables that disappear when you click on them. This is all simple. And you're probably thinking "Of course that won't work. You're going to get a Null Reference Exception", and you would be correct. I might need to initialize them somewhere else and I don't realize it but I'm just not sure. I've tried the [DefaultValue("First Name")] route and that doesn't work. I'm probably thinking about this wrong, but my brain is already shot from trying to figure out how to wire up these events to the controller, so any help would be appreciated!

Work in progress) Javascript testing using Selenium Background processing Document databases (a tentative maybe, at this stage) Monitoring an application And a little more. So, I leave this question for you: What do you want to see in a book about Rails 3, which goes from "This is Rails" to "This is how Rails scales"?

  • In perl, how can I call a method whose name I have in a string?

    I'm trying to write some abstract code for searching through a list of similar objects for the first one whose attributes match specific values. In order to do this, I need to call a bunch of accessor methods and check all their values one by one. I'd like to use an abstraction like this: sub verify_attribute { my ($object, $attribute_method, $wanted_value) = @_; if ( call_method($object, $attribute_method) ~~ $wanted_value ) { return 1; } else { return; } } Then I can loop through a hash whose keys are accessor method names and whose values are the values I'm looking for for those attributes. For example, if that hash is called %wanted, I might use code like this to find the object I want: my $found_object; FINDOBJ: foreach my $obj (@list_of_objects) { foreach my $accessor (keys %wanted) { next FINDOBJ unless verify_attribute($obj, $accessor, $wanted{$accessor}); } # All attrs verified $found_object = $obj; last FINDOBJ; } Of course, the only problem is that call_method does not exsit. Or does it? How can I call a method if I have a string containing its name? Or is there a better solution to this whole problem?

  • Getting the last User ID in Zend Framework

    Using MySQL query browser, I manually made a table called users and input some date in the fields. I set the primary key to id and set it to auto increment. There are 3 rows, the highest id is 3. I then made the following class in the method directory to call upon the data in the table etc. class Application_Model_DbTable_User extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract { protected $_name = 'user'; public function getLatestUserId() { $id = $this->getAdapter()->lastInsertId(); return $id; } } In the controller I do the following which gets the value generated by the method and lets the view access it: $usersDbModel = new Application_Model_DbTable_User(); $lastUserId = $usersDbModel->getLatestUserId(); $this->view->lastUserId = $lastUserId; In the view I then echo it to display it to the user: echo $this->lastUserId; However, even though my last id in the users table is 3. It displays 0. I have also tried: public function getLatestUserId() { $sql = 'SELECT max(id) FROM user'; $query = $this->query($sql); $result = $query->fetchAll(); return $result; } But this just throws out a server error. What have I done wrong? Am I missing something? Is there another way of doing this?

  • How to set up a load/stress test for a web site?

    I've been tasked with stress/load testing our company web site out of the blue and know nothing about doing so. Every search I make on google for "how to load test a web site" just comes back with various companies and software to physically do the load testing. For now I'm more interested in how to actually go about setting up a load test like what I should take into account prior to load testing, what pages within my site I should be testing load against and what things I'm going to want to monitor when doing the test. Our web site is on a multi-tier system complete with a separate database server (IIS 7 Web Server, SQL Server 2000 db). I imagine I'd want to monitor both the web server and the database server for testing load however when setting up scenarios to load test the web server I'd have to use pages that query the database to see any load on the database server at the same time. Are web servers and database servers generally tested simultaneously or are they done as separate tests? As you can see I'm pretty clueless as to the whole operation so any incite as to how to go about this would be very helpful. FYI I have been tinkering with Pylot and was able to create and run a scenario against our site but I'm not sure what I should be looking for in the results or if the scenario I created is even a scenario worth measuring for our site. It's what I want. But the question is, if I want to add another LI element to this string (htmlstr) how can I do? I set s = new html string but htmlstr doesn't change. Thanks

I am running windows 7 $ git push heroku master Counting objects: 1652, done. Delta compression using up to 4 threads. fatal: object 91f5d3ee9e2edcd42e961ed2eb254d5181cbc734 inconsistent object lengt h (476 vs 8985) error: pack-objects died with strange error error: failed to push some refs to '[email protected]:floating-stone-94.git I'm not sure what this means. I can't find any consistent answers on the internet. I tried re-creating my ssh public key but still the same.

    Why would the Swift compiler expect me to write if let addressNumber = paul.residence?.address?.buildingNumber?.toInt() { } instead of just writing: if let addressNumber = paul.residence.address.buildingNumber.toInt() { } The compiler clearly has the static type information to handle the conditional statement for the first dereference of the optional value and each following value. Why would it not continue to do so for the following statements?

  • Hosting an NServiceBus subscriber in the same application as the producer.

    Is it possible to use NServiceBus to publish and consume messages in the same application, specifically a web application? In the future we will almost certainly need to maintain a separate long running service to process messages generated by this application, and this is why we are hoping to use NServiceBus from the start, but right now it would be nice to just start up the consumer and the publisher when the web application starts. This will make testing and deployment far easier for us. I presume I will need to reference the NServiceBus.Host.exe and start up the process in the global.asax, but need help on what exactly I need to call to do this.

    I am trying to manage an IIS7 installation remotely using the Microsoft.Web.Administration library. My research into the error lead me to believe that I do not have the proper credentials against the remote machine and so I would like to impersonate a user that does. I was hard pressed to find a way to do this with IronPython. Any help is much appreciated.
