    How can I convert a video file to a sequence of images, for example one frame every N seconds. Can mplayer or ffmpeg do this? I have used MPlayer to grab screenshots manually but I would like to automate this for a long video.

    Are they any method to protect video files with password, so player will ask for the pasword before playback? Currently I am protecting private video files using zip compression with password but it is very inconvenient. I am forced to uncompress huge files each time before watching, and than erase it using special utilities (to avoid further restoring). Please advice.

    Hello All, I am working on Image Viewer application and planning to build in WPF. My Image size are usually larger than 3000x3500. After searching for week, I got sample code from MSDN. But it is written in ATL COM. So I am planning to work and build the Image viewer as follows: After reading the Image I will scale down to my viewer size, viwer is around 1000x1000. Lets call this Image Data as Display Data. Once displaying this data, I will work only this Display data. For all Image processing operation, I will use this display data and when user choose to save the image, I will apply all the operation to original Image data. My question is, Is is ok to use Display data for showing and initial image processing operations.

It uses Servlet 3.0 Asynchronous Processing.   • Best way to remove an object from an array in Processing

    I really wish Processing had push and pop methods for working with Arrays, but since it does not I'm left trying to figure out the best way to remove an object at a specific position in an array. I'm sure this is as basic as it gets for many people, but I could use some help with it, and I haven't been able to figure much out by browsing the Processing reference. I don't think it matters, but for your reference here is the code I used to add the objects initially: Flower[] flowers = new Flower[0]; for (int i=0; i < 20; i++) { Flower fl = new Flower(); flowers = (Flower[]) expand(flowers, flowers.length + 1); flowers[flowers.length - 1] = fl; } For the sake of this question, let's assume I want to remove an object from position 15.     I encoded some videos from a dvd format (mpeg 2 I think) to h246 (using a .mkv container). When I upload them to youtube, most of them work, but there are a few that don't. After I upload it, I get the message "Failed (unable to convert video file)" What could be the problem because all the videos are the same format, and only a few of them fail. When I click upload details, while uploading, the file seems to be recognized by youtube: Format: MATROSKA Dimensions: 704 x 480 px Video codec: H264 Audio codec: AAC

  • Audio processing in C# or C++

    Hi, I would like to create an application that uses AI techniques and allows the user to record a part of a song and then tries to find that song in a database of wav files. I would have liked to use some already existing libraries for the audio processing part. So, could you recommend any libraries in C# which can read a wav file, get input from microphone, have some audio filters (low pass, high pass, FFT etc) and maybe have the ability to plot the audio signal as well. I would prefer to develop in C#, but if there aren't good libraries for audio processing, I guess I could work in C++ as well. As far as I know, Mathlab already has the above mentioned functionalities, but I can't use it in my application.

    In PowerPoint 2007, there seems to be no way of changing the resolution slide (only the aspect ratio and the output resolution can be chnaged?). If this is the case, then how do I optimize an inserted video for playback using an HD projector? Can I simply insert a video at high resolution and scale it down to fit the slide? Will these extra pixels come to use if the output resolution is high? Thanks!

    I'm attempting to place some embed code into a Premium WordPress Theme. NOTE: I'm not great when it comes to php. The embed code is produced by a video player called EasyVideoPlayer. (Basically it allows me to use Amazon S3 and gives me feedback on when people stop watching the video.) However the video is not showing. If we place both the theme and video player aside, would you expect the php code to accept what I've done or is this not the way to go about adding this embed code? NOTE:I've contacted both the Wordpress Premium Theme support at Woothemes.com and the video players support for EasyVideoPlayer.com However both tend to stop at the point that another paid product is involved!     I sometimes get .mp4 and other video formats whose aspect ratio is clearly off What apps do you use to reconvert such videos to an aspect ratio better suited to to fit either a regular desktop or LCD screen size? Hopefully with little or no loss of audio/video quality Any instructions on best settings to use would be very welcome. I have so far mostly used vlc which came off with less-than-ideal results.     In regard to this question I am curious how one can do post-request REST processing a la (crude): def postProcessor[T](content: T) = { request match { case Accepts.Json() => asJson(content) case Accepts.Xml() => asXml(content) case _ => content } } overriding onRouteRequest in Global config does not appear to provide access to body of the response, so it would seem that Action composition is the way to go to intercept the response and do post-processing task(s). Question: is this a good idea, or is it better to do content-type casting directly within a controller (or other class) method where the type to cast is known? Currently I'm doing this kind of thing everywhere: toJson( i18n("account not found") ) toJson( Map('orderNum-> orderNum) ) while I'd like the toJson/toXml conversion to happen based on accepts header post-request.

I've got the code from Processing's reference site: float a = 0.0; float inc = TWO_PI/25.0; for(int i=0; i<100; i=i+4) { line(i, 50, i, 50+sin(a)*40.0); a = a + inc; } http://processing.org/reference/sin_.html However, what I need is a line that follows the curve of a Sin wave, not lines representing points along the curve and ending at the 0 axis.     I have to detect heads of people in crowd in real time.For that I detected edge from video using matlab but from edge detected video , how to identify heads that i am unable to do. I used edge detection of video because it is easy to find circle from edged video and detection of head would be easy can anyone help me or suggest me any method for head- detection in real time. I have used VGG head detector and viola jones algorithm but it is only detecting face for small size video not detecting heads for large crowd. Suggestions?

    Is there an application that can emulate a dvd player? I've converted a .mp4 video using allok video converter. And choose the output format to be xVid(.avi)<--that is exactly what is written on the application. I don't want to waste a blank dvd and try if it really can be played. So if you have tried this before please tell me if it works. And I have tried burning .avi files and it works because they are genuine avi files which I did not convert
