  • Creating an installer with WPF forms, packaged files and custom setup actions in C#

    I'm trying to create a way of deploying a set of tools (which are add-ins to 3rd party software) to my users. I would like to do the following: User Enters Serial Dlls in their directory structure is extracted to program files a file is copied to a location in ProgramData (this registers my add-ins to the 3rd party application) Online activation for software is performed Can anyone point me into the right direction for this? I had a look at deployment projects in Visual Studio but I'm not sure if they are what I'm after. Main problem is they are ugly, I would like to have a nice WPF installer, and have a more custom experience. But I guess that can be traded off if its going to make things easier. I was thinking, I could just make my own C# project that extracts the files, but I have no idea how to package them up and extract them all as part of one download (like the MSI files that the deployment projects create). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    i have to make the colorpiker tool of flex, to be a customized one, i beleive you have seen the color picker tool of flex, when you click on the colorpicker, a swatch panel gets open, right?? now in that swatch, there are three compoenents, one is thw colorbox(on top left), beside right to this is the text field holding the hex code of the color and below these two tools, is the colors present in the small rectangles, now my need is this, i want to add three more buttons on the top empty space after textfield, so that structure of the colors pciker looks like this colorbox | textfield | button1 | button2 | button3 color rectangles, showing all default colors i beleive u understood, what i meant here, so plzz help me out in making a custom colorpciker class, thanx Namaste

  • Horizontally and Vertically Center Modal Div IE Issue

    I'm trying to horizontally and vertically center a modal window inside a div. I want it to be cross browser compatible. You can see from the picture below that when I resize IE8 then click, "show modal" button it displays not exactly horizontally centered. This does not seem to be an issue with Chrome. Any thoughts?     What is the data inputted into DSA when PGP signs a message? From RFC4880, i found A Signature packet describes a binding between some public key and some data.   • UITableView and keyboard scrolling problem

    after a lot of trial and error, I'm giving up and asking the question. I've seen a lot of people with similar problems but can't get all the answers to work right. I have a UITableView which is composed of custom cells. The cells are made of 5 text fields next to each other (sort of like a grid). When I try to scroll and edit the cells at the bottom of the UITableView, I can't manage to get my cells properly positioned above the keyboard. I have seen many answers talking about changing view sizes,etc... but none of them has worked nicely so far. Could anybody clarify the "right" way to do this with a concrete code example?     I am using Ganymed ssh to connect to a remote machine and apart from sending commands I need to send the arrows keys (left and right keys). I can send commands but when I send the arrows keys nothing happends.   • Multi-accordion help (CSS issue maybe?)

    So, I've been trying to develop this multi-accordion news section for this site. It's actually all working, thanks to an insightful plugin. I've modified it a little bit so it works as I want it to, but I've run into two issues, one which is possibly CSS. Issue #1: The idea for the user is that when they view this page, they see all the recent headlines. They can also see who it has been posted by and how many comments have been made to this article. If they wish, they can then click on the headline and the field will expand into the article. They can then either make a comment or view the comments via clicking the View Comments link or clicking the "number of comments" link in the "Posted by..." area (a shortcut to the comments basically). The problem I'm having is if I make the AUTHOR or the "0" comments a link, it breaks the accordion because the accordion uses an A CLASS to open it up. I'm looking for a fix, I've tried making it a H1 or a DIV but that also breaks it. Issue #2: This is a pretty picky one, but when you click the headline it expands, but at least in Firefox (haven't tested it in Chrome yet) the text jumps from the right and to the left, locking in place from which the CSS tells it to (padding-left). I don't know why it's exactly doing that, if anyone has any insight on that, it'd be appreciated. A two-parter to this issue is when you open the Headline to the article and then decide to close the article by clicking on the Headline, parts of the accordion jumps from the darker purple to the light purple before the task is finished. I'm also interested fixing this, but this issue in its entirety are all pretty nit picky things.     Hi, I'm trying to have this block element to be horizontally aligned in the middle but at the same time I would like the width to be the minimum possible for the contents inside. The idea behind this is that the text for that tag could be slightly bigger or smaller depending on the user language and how much characters the same sentence has for that specific user's language.     I'm trying to create a wx.Menu that will be shared between a popup (called on right-click), and a sub menu accessible from the frame menubar. The following code demonstrates the problem. If you open the "MENUsubmenu" from the menubar the item "asdf" is visible. If you right click on the frame content area, "asdf" will be visible from there as well... however, returning to the menubar, you will find that "MENUsubmenu" is vacant.   • GetOleDbSchemaTable Foreign Keys on Sql Server 2005

    I'm trying to get the Foreign Keys for a table in my SQL Server 2005 database. I'm using the GetOleDbSchemaTable function right now: DataTable schemaTable = connection.GetOleDbSchemaTable( OleDbSchemaGuid.Foreign_Keys, new object[] { null, null, null, "TABLE" }); This pulls back the right foreign keys, the only problem is that the UpdateRule and DeleteRule are set to "No Action". If I browse to the same table in SSMS I can see that my DeleteRule is "Set NULL". Does the GetOleDbSchemaTable function not return the proper foreign key rules ? Has any one else ran into this problem ?

    Hi, I am producing some latex beamer slides (but I think it is not a beamer specific question per se). I have the following: \begin{itemize} \item Issue1 \item Issue2 \item Issue3 \end{itemize} now I want to have a right curly brace (i.e. '}') behind the items spreading over issue1 and issue2. And of course I want to write something behind that curly brace I a perfect world I would write something like: \begin{itemize} \left . \item Issue1 \item Issue2 \right \\} One and Two are cool \item Issue3 \end{itemize} This does not work because I am not in a math environment and I can not put the whole snippet inside a math environment because itemize would not work in that case. I can see a trace bit of it underneath my gradient-brushed item. If I reset the background brush to "no brush" then the selection rendering works properly. If I set the background brush to a solid color, it also fails to render as I'd expect. How can I get the selection coloring to be on top? What is trumping the selection rendering?

    I have written code that generates a ray from the "eye" of the camera to the viewing plane some distance away from the camera's eye: R3Ray ConstructRayThroughPixel(...) { R3Point p; double increments_x = (lr.X() - ul.X())/(double)width; double increments_y = (ul.Y() - lr.Y())/(double)height; p.SetX( ul.X() + ((double)i_pos+0.5)*increments_x ); p.SetY( lr.Y() + ((double)j_pos+0.5)*increments_y ); p.SetZ( lr.Z() ); R3Vector v = p-camera_pos; R3Ray new_ray(camera_pos,v); return new_ray; } ul is the upper left corner of the viewing plane and lr is the lower left corner of the viewing plane. They are defined as follows: R3Point org = scene->camera.eye + scene->camera.towards * radius; R3Vector dx = scene->camera.right * radius * tan(scene->camera.xfov); R3Vector dy = scene->camera.up * radius * tan(scene->camera.yfov); R3Point lr = org + dx - dy; R3Point ul = org - dx + dy; Here, org is the center of the viewing plane with radius being the distance between the viewing plane and the camera eye, dx and dy are the displacements in the x and y directions from the center of the viewing plane. The ConstructRayThroughPixel(...) function works perfectly for a camera whose eye is at (0,0,0). However, when the camera is at some different position, not all needed rays are produced for the image. Any suggestions what could be going wrong? Maybe something wrong with my equations?   • Inactive area after device rotation

    Hi all, I don't understand what's wrong in my very simple application with device rotation : I built my view with interface builder. (See screen capture here) I specified <key>UIInterfaceOrientation</key><string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight</string> in my info.plist file. I had a (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation {return YES;} in my root view controller. The area on the left (shown in red on the capture), around 20 pixel width, keeps inactive (nothing append if I hit a button in this area). In fact the full screen is active only in portrait mode, in landscape right mode there is this 20 pixels width inactive area, in landscape left mode this inactive area is on the right, in portrait upside down mode this area is on the bottom. I read lots of posts and documentation about UIView rotation, but I did not find anything to solve this problem (I tried to play with view.frame and view.bounds without any success).   • Why won't my CATiledLayer scroll in a UIScrollView after zooming?

    I'm currently having the following problem with CATiledLayer: when the view first loads, the scrolling works perfectly, but then when you zoom once, the view snaps to the anchor point (top left corner) and it can no longer scroll at all. The zooming works in that it will zoom in and out, but it will only zoom to the top left corner.   • Link phpbb usernames to drupal profiles

    I'm using drupal and phpbb with a bridge called phpbbforum. It works quite well, the user information is synched between the drupal and phpbb databases. The forum is embeded in a drupal page, so all variables that come with page.tpl.php should be avaliable. I want drupal to be the only profile handler, so when someone clicks on a phpbb username, that person get's linked to the drupal profile. In phpbbs template files, the link to the profile is called by function get_username_string. I think the right place to edit it is in the /includes/functions_content.php file on line 1178. Right above that line it says "* Get username details for placing into templates." and there's a section about profile links. I just can't figure out how to edit it so that the profile links lead to drupal profiles. Can anyone figure this one out?
