  • IIS: 404 error on every file in a virtual directory.

    I am trying to write my first WCF service for IIS 6.0. I followed the instructions on MSDN. I created the virtual directory, I can browse the directory fine but anything I click (even a sub-folder in that folder) gives me a 404 error. What am I missing that I can not access any files or folders? Any logs or whatnot you need just tell me where to find them in the comments and I will post them. Use the IIS Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in to enable the appropriate Web extension. Default Web Extensions include: ASP, ASP.net, Server-Side Includes, WebDAV publishing, FrontPage Server Extensions, Common Gateway Interface (CGI). Custom extensions must be added and explicitly enabled. See the IIS 6.0 Help File for more information. I am guessing the 404 0 2 at the end of the log is a 404.2 error. I now know the why, I still don't know the how on how to fix it.

    Hello, I am using qt 4.5 I have created a project and I want to compile on visual studio 2008 for windows mobile 6.0 So I have created the project files doing this: D:\Projects\Phone_PDA\Phone_PDA>set QMAKESPEC=win32-msvc2008 D:\Projects\Phone_PDA\Phone_PDA>qmake -tp vc The VS project was created. However, when I try and compile I get this error: LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'c:\Qt\qt\lib\qtmaind.lib' However, when I check my librarys and includes under project properties in visual studio.     Hi, I recently installed VS2008 in Win2k8R2 machine and opened a VS2005 project(C++). After successful conversion to VS2008, i tried building the project in Debug x64 mode. But the project is getting skipped. I tried Clean as well as Rebuild, and it is getting skipped for those as well. I'm able to build in Debug win32 mode. But i need to build in x64 mode. Also the Build option is ticked in Build-Configuration Manager under x64. I have installed the x64 bit compiler too. Also I'm not able to see the Project properties for x64. How can i solve this problem and build the project in VS 2008?

  • Cannot build/create dll in Visual Studio because of admin rights??

    I have local admin rights on the PC I am using - but some things are not allowed i.e. I can't right click on My Computer and see the properties! Anyway I was trying to build my solution in Visual Studio - I just added a simple class library with barely any code in it and it won't build, it gives the error: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft.Common.targets(3019,9): error MSB3216: Cannot register assembly "C:\Documents and Settings\fooUser\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\FooSolution\Foo.Bar\bin\Debug\Foo.Bar.Utility.dll" - access denied. Please make sure you're running the application as administrator. Access to the registry key 'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Record' is denied. I take it I need FULL admin rights?? - although the project did compile before I made this class library - so I dont' understand why the addition of this library has had such a drastic effect now!

I compiled, generated database, etc. Later on I tried to add a string scalar (Nullable = true) to one of my existing entities and I keep getting this type of error when I compile: Error 3004: Problem in mapping fragments starting at line 569: No mapping specified for properties MyEntity.MyValue in Set MyEntities. An Entity with Key (PK) will not round-trip when: Entity is type [MyEntities.MyEntity] I keep having to manually open the EDMX file and correct the XML whenever I add scalars. Ideas on what's going on?

  • MetadataException: Unable to load the specified metadata resource

    All of a sudden I keep getting a MetadataException on instantiating my generated ObjectContext class. The connectionstring in App.Config looks correct - hasn't changed since last it worked - and I've tried regenerating a new model (edmx-file) from the underlying database with no change. Anyone have any... ideas? Edit: I haven't changed any properties, I haven't changed the name of any output assemblies, I haven't tried to embed the EDMX in the assembly. I've merely waited 10 hours from leaving work until I got back. And then it wasn't working anymore. I've tried recreating the EDMX. I've tried recreating the project. I've even tried recreating the database, from scratch. No luck, whatsoever. I'm truly stumped.

How do I map these enum properties using that extension? I'm trying to map to an object like this: private class DestinationObject { public string Enum1Description { get; set; } public string Enum2Description { get; set; } } I think a custom formatter is my best bet, but I can't figure out how to add the formatter and specify which field to map from at the same time.

  • Flex builder3 is not generating html wrapper when targeting flex 4 sdk

    In Flex builder 3 when I create a new flex application targeting the flex 4 sdk, it wont generate a html wrapper file. I have hunted around the web for answers, but no success. I have made sure the box is checked in the project properties to generate html wrapper. The only workaround is to target an older version of the sdk (i.e. 3.2), which will cause the wrapper to be generated. Then I can revert the project to sdk 4. This then means I can never do a clean of my project because this will result in the wrapper being deleted. Has anyone else come across this? Is this just a bug with Flexbuilder3?

    I just installed the POCO Template for EF4. I have a single entity in my model, AnnouncementText, and the T4 files seem to be properly generated. Attempting to access this new entity is throwing the following error when I access the auto-generated property MyObjectContext.AnnouncementTexts: InvalidOperationException: Mapping and metadata information could not be found for EntityType 'MyNamespace.AnnouncementText'. The properties on the AnnouncementText POCO seem to match up with the columns in the database, and I haven't changed any of the auto-generated code.     In my project I have very big XSD file which i use to validate some XML request and response to a 3rd party. For the above scenario I can have 2 approaches 1) Create XML and then validate against give XSD 2) Create classes from XSD with the help of XSD gen tool, add xtra bit of attirbutes and use them for validation. Validation in the second way will work somewhat in this manner, a) convert xml request/response into object with XML Serialization b) validate the object with custom attributes set on each property, i.e. Pass the object to a method which will validate the object by iterating through properties and its custom attributes set on the each property, and this will return a boolean value if the object validates and that determines whether the xml request is valid or not? Now the concern which approach is good in terms of performance and anything else???

    Hi All, I have a js object structured like: object.property1 = "some string"; object.property2 = "some string"; object.property3.property1 = "some string"; object.property3.property2 = "some string"; object.property3.property2 = "some string"; i'm using JSON.stringify(object) to pass this with ajax request. When i try to deserialize this using JavaScriptSerializer.Deserialize as a Dictionary i get the following error: No parameterless constructor defined for type of 'System.String'. This exact same process is working for regular object with non "collection" properties.. thanks for any help!

This is an example of how the source control now looks after moving everything: $/Source Project /Trunk /[Projects] /Release /[Projects] $/Release Branch Project /[Projects] /[Other legacy stuff] So far I've found information that says: tf delete /lock:checkout /recursive TestMain to delete a branch. TfsDeleteProject to delete a project tf delete seems to be only relevant when I need to delete a branch that is within the same project as the trunk, and TfsDeleteProject doesn't seem like it will delete the branch association from the source project (I hope I'm wrong, see below). Can someone tell me if the above will work, and in what order I should perform them in, to successfully delete the TFS $/Release Branch Project while also deleting the branch association (from right-click $/Source Project - Properties - Branches)?

  • ASP.NET NVC - Add XHTML into validation error messages

    Hi, Just starting with ASP.Net MVC and have hit a bit of a snag regarding validation messages. I've a custom validation attribute assigned to my class validate several properties on my model. When this validation fails, we'd like the error message to contain XHTML mark-up, including a link to help page, (this was done in the original WebForms project as a ASP:Panel). At the moment the XHTML tags such as "< a ", in the ErrorMessage are being rendered to the screen. Is there any way to get the ValidationSummary to render the XHTML markup correctly? Or is there a better way to handle this kind of validation? Thanks

    I want to add command-line support for PHP5 on my server. When I run aptitude install php5-cli I get a message saying that my PHP modules/packages have unmet dependencies.
