  • Imagemagick/File upload abuse causing my memory errors

    I had been running out of memory on my server lately and I noticed some individuals uploading the same "file" over and over in quick succession which locks up my instance of mini_magick. Eventually the morgify gets stuck in an infinite look. I've taken care of it by having a daemon watch the morgify process if it get's out of control, but was wondering if there was a better solution You can see the same *.gif being uploading in quick succession. I tried downloading this file too, and it isn't even a gif. I don't know what it is (I can't open it). Anyone experience this kind of exploit before?

    I'm researching a sever clustering architecture as a redundancy and backup solution for a client, and something that isn't made clear is whether or not i can use server clustering to replace a file server with backup solution. Forgive my Elementary understanding of server clustering but supposing: 2 Sites (NJ, CA) Identical Servers at each site setup as a Remote Site Cluster nodes with Windows Enterprise server 2008 r2 Services: File, Terminal, AD, and maybe DNS Will the following will be true: Files (including data drives) will be synced between the two servers eliminating the need for third party backup/mirroring software to sync/backup files. Also supposing i use roaming profiles w/ folder redirection; How will client computer in the WAN access their data through the cluster (i.e. will they automatically choose the best route)

    I am trying to troubleshoot a problem. Some very helpful information would lead me to a solution is: Often does Linux check the /etc/localtime file? Additionally if there is a configuration file to increase the frequency (for testing) that would be helpful. Normally I would assume that it would check when a call to the ntp server has been executed, but NTP is not installed. It couldn't possibly check every time the date function is called as this would result in many problems on busy web servers. Server is Ubuntu 12.04, but I don't think that is relevant to the question.

  • Grub File Stolen ( WINDOWS and OpenSus )

    I have a problem with my computer. I installed OpenSus on my external, and I still have Windows on my HDD. OpenSus took the Grub file and placed it on my external, so now I have to open OpenSus to open Windows. I never got a Windows CD when I bought my computer ( I live in South Africa :) ).... I want to install Ubuntu 12.04 on my external, but then I will have to format my external in which case I will lose the Grub file causing me to lose Windows, which I can't afford to do... yet. Does anyone have an idea what I can do?

  • .htaccess rules not working, but the file seems to be loaded

    I am trying to remove .php at the end of the URL from any page thats loaded. RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.php -f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.php Its running on my own server, which has WHM/cPanel, so I can change settings at the server level, I'm just not really sure what I'm looking for. I found the httpd.conf file, but it said it was auto generated by whm, so I tried looking in whm for the correct settings but it had barely any settings related to htaccess. If I fill htaccess with gibberish it stops the site from loading, which I assume means that the .htaccess file is being loaded, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

The issue we are facing is that .htaccess for dev & qa is different from the prod. At present, we have to manually merge differences from dev .htaccess to prod .htaccess. Is there any alternative way of managing this file without this manual process since it is error prone. Any suggestions in this regard will be highly appreciated

  • OpenXML error “file is corrupt and cannot be opened.”

    From time to time I ear some people saying their new web application supports data export to Excel format. So far so good … but they don’t tell the all story … in fact almost all the times what is happening is they are exporting data to a Comma-Separated file or simply exporting GridView rendered HTML to an xls file. Ok … it works but it’s not something I would be proud of. So … yesterday I decided to take a look at the Office Open XML File Formats Specification (Microsoft Office 2007+ format) based on well-known technologies: ZIP and XML. I start by installing Open XML SDK 2.0 for Microsoft Office and playing with some samples. Then I decided to try it on a more complex web application and the “file is corrupt and cannot be opened.” message start happening. Google show us that many people suffer from the same and it seems there are many reasons that can trigger this message. Some are related to the process itself, others with encodings or even styling. Well, none solved my problem and I had to dig … well not that much, I simply change the output file extension to zip and extract the zip content. Then I did the same to the output file from my first sample, compare both zip contents with SourceGear DiffMerge and found that my problem was Culture related. Yes, my complex application sets the Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture  to a non-English culture. For sample purposes I was simply using the ToString method to convert numbers and dates to a string representation but forgot that XML is culture invariant and thus using a decimal separator other than “.” will result in a deserialization problem. I solve the “file is corrupt and cannot be opened.” by using Convert.ToString(object, CultureInfo.InvariantCulture) method instead of the ToString method. Hope this can help someone.

  • Custom app_offline.htm file during publish

    When I publish my ASP.NET MVC application it generates a app_offline.htm file to take the site offline while it updates the website and then deletes the file once the publish is successful. This is cool and I really like the idea, but I want to create my own custom app_offline.htm file that the publish action is aware of and put it somewhere where it doesn't effect my development site - i.e. it doesn't sit in the root of my development site rendering it offline all the time. I just made quite a few changes to my working copy and now I went to do a commit some of the files went through but at one file named Search.aspx.cs it says Commit failed (details follow): Can't open file 'C:\-----\trunk\.svn\text-base\Search.aspx.cs.svn-base': The system cannot find the file specified. I have tried doing a SVN update and SVN cleanup and nothing is restoring this file. I can't even create a diff because it gives a similar error about missing files. How do I fix this? What did I do to cause it?

As the apple lists says : http://lists.apple.com/archives/xcode-users/2006/Dec/msg00276.html there are no duplicates. Please help.

  • Populate Android Database From CSV file?

    Is it possible to take a csv file stored in the res/raw resource directory and use it to populate a table in the sqlite3 database? My thought was that, if there was a way to do a bulk import for the entire file into the table then that would be cleaner and faster than iterating over each line in the file and executing individual insert statements... I've found that there is a sqlite import command that allows this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1045910/how-can-i-import-load-a-sql-or-csv-file-into-sqlite ...but I'm having trouble applying those statements in my Android application. NSURL *storeUrl = [NSURL fileURLWithPath: [[self applicationDocumentsDirectory] stringByAppendingPathComponent: @"Shared\PartyPlanner.sqlite"]]; This allows me to share the file with iTunes, but instead of just having 'PartyPlanner.sqlite' in the 'applicationDocumentsDirectory\Shared' I have "SharedPartyPlanner.sqlite" in the 'applicationDocumentsDirectory' is there a cleaner or easier way to get to the shared folder inside of applicationDocumentsDirectory?
