  • SQL Syntax for Complex Scenario (Deals)

    - by Yisman
hello everyone i have a complex query to be written but cannot figure it out here are my tables Sales --one row for each sale made in the system SaleProducts --one row for each line in the invoice (similar to OrderDetails in NW) Deals --a list of possible deals/offers that a sale may be entitled to DealProducts --a list of quantities of products that must be purchased in order to get a deal now im trying to make a query which will tell me for each sale which deals he may get the relevant fields are: Sales: SaleID (PK) SaleProducts: SaleID (FK), ProductID (FK) Deals: DealID (PK) DealProducts: DealID(FK), ProductID(FK), Mandatories (int) for required qty i believe that i should be able to use some sort of cross join or outer join, but it aint working here is one sample (of about 30 things i tried) SELECT DealProducts.DealID, DealProducts.ProductID, DealProducts.Mandatories, viwSaleProductCount.SaleID, viwSaleProductCount.ProductCount FROM DealProducts LEFT OUTER JOIN viwSaleProductCount ON DealProducts.ProductID = viwSaleProductCount.ProductID GROUP BY DealProducts.DealID, DealProducts.ProductID, DealProducts.Mandatories, viwSaleProductCount.SaleID, viwSaleProductCount.ProductCount the problem is that it doesnt show any product deals that r not fullfiled (probably because of the productid join). i need that also sales that dont have the requiremnets show up, then i can filter out any saleid that exists in this query "where AmountBought thank you for your help

  • Fastest way to get an Excel Range of Rows

    - by gayan
In a VSTO C# project I want to get a range of rows from a set of row indexes. The row indexes can be for example like "7,8,9,12,14". Then I want the range "7:9,12,14" rows. I now do this: Range rng1 = sheet.get_Range("A7:A9,A12,A14", Type.Missing); rng1 = rng1.EntireRow; But it's a bit inefficient due to string handling in range specification. sheet.Rows["7:9"] works but I can't give this sheet.Rows["7:9,12,14"] // Fails

  • How to implement partial refresh like facebook like/comments?

    - by shillong
We have java web application. Summary page will display list of rows. For each row, user can vote and add comments. Vote or add comments will commit immediately and refresh total vote number and comments count. We want to refresh current row instead of whole table just like Facebook does. If need, we can show the list of data with form format (iterator List of data) instead of table format. How to implement this feature base on JSF?

  • CodeIgniter Form Validaton + JS. Form re-population.

    - by solefald
Hello. I have a from with a checkbox, and depending on the checkbox state 2 different divs are shown. var alias = document.getElementById('alias'); var list = document.getElementById('list'); if(document.getElementById('isList').checked) { alias.style.display = 'none'; list.style.display = 'table-row'; } else { alias.style.display = 'table-row'; list.style.display = 'none'; } Here is the HTML/PHP (relevant) part: <tr id="alias" style="display:table-row;"> <td>' . form_label('Destination:', 'destination') . '</td> <td>' . form_textarea('destination') . '</td> </tr> <tr id="list" style="display:none;"> <td>' . form_label('File Path:', 'list_path') . '</td> <td>' . form_input('list_path') . '</td> </tr> alias div is shown by default on page load, list shown then i click on isList checkbox, and alias is shown again when i click on the checkbox again. This part works great and pretty straight froward. Now, I add CodeIgniter Form Validation plugin, set appropriate rules and set-up validation plugin to re-populate the form with. Without checkbox enabled everything works great. On errors form is re-populated. However, when form is submitted with checkbox enabled, I have an issue. CI's Form Validation plugin re-populates the form, and re-enables the checkbox, but the list div that is supposed to be shown when checkbox enabled is not there, and instead the alias div is shown. Is there any way around this issue? Can i have the list div shown on list validation error? Also, i would like to avoid using JavaScript form validation, and stick with my good old PHP. Thank you in advance. -i

  • Iframe problem with IE6 & IE7

    - by Kamiel
Hi all, I'm experiencing difficulties getting my iframe to display correctly in IE6 & IE7. www.e-g-t.nl I think IE has the height of the iframe stretched to far beyond the 400px height I set it to be, and the content is vertically centered. I'm not an expert at css or html for that matter and don't seem to get it right. In IE8 though, the problem doesn't seem to exist. Any help on this is much appreciated!

  • AS3: resizing as a result of an eventListener

    - by Jaimie
Hi everyone, I have coded a map that when a province object is clicked on, it should move to the center of the screen and grow a percentage of the width, along with displaying a number of different things. The problem is that in order for the image to resize it needs to be clicked on twice. It moves, and all of the children display just as they were designed to do, but the resize doesn't work on the first try. Any ideas how to fix this problem? ... menuItem4_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick); ... public function onClick(mc:MouseEvent):void { menuItem4_mc.width = width * .65; menuItem4_mc.height = height * .7; //brings Ontario To the front of the stage setChildIndex(menuItem4_mc,numChildren - 1); menuItem4_mc.x= 670/2; menuItem4_mc.y= 480/2; ... } Thank you!

  • jQuery fade in background colour

    - by Marcos Placona
Hi, I'm trying to fade in the background colour of a table row, and can't get it right. The fade-in will happen when a button is clicked. I tried something like: $("#row_2").fadeIn('slow').css('background', 'gold') And although this will apply the colour to the table row, it won't fade in, but apply it at once. I'm sure this is a simple thing, but I can't find an answer to that. I've looked all over in this website, but still no luck for this specific thing. Thanks in advance

    - by Mac Taylor
hey guys i have a tag table in my php/mysql project that looks like this Table name : bt_tags Table fileds : tid,tag and for every story rows there is a filed named : tags Table name: stories table filed : tags that saved in this field as ids 1 5 6 space between them now problem : when using while loop to fetch all fields in story table , the page uses 1 query to show every stories' detail but for showing tag's names , i should query another table to find names , we have ids stored in story table now i used for loop between while loop to show tag names but im sure there is a better way to decrease page queries how can i improve this script and show tag's names without using *for loop ?* $result = $db->sql_query("SELECT * FROM ".STORY_TABLE." "); while ($row = $db->sql_fetchrow($result)) { //fetching other $vars ---- $tags_id = explode(" ",$row['tags']); $c = count($tags_id); for($i=1;$i<$c-1;$i++){ list($tag_name,$slug) = $db->sql_fetchrow($db->sql_query( 'SELECT `tag`,`slug` FROM `bt_tags` WHERE `tid` = "'.tags_id[$i].'" • ssrs 2008 programmatically add tables rows

    - by davethecoder
Above is how my report looks, the part in yellow in hidden, and is only shown when the user clicks the + icon on the [name]. the result is basically the percentage difference from the Past [X] - [TERM] i.e there is a dropdown with, [weeks, months, days, hours] and a textbox of qty. so choosing qty = 4 and term = weeks will delivery a result set spread over 4 weeks based on the parent result sets date range and name ID I wish to populate here the number of rows, dependant on the value set by the user and the data will be from a dataset. Is it possible to dynamically add more sub rows ( like on row data bound ) if my first row is ID 123 [name], is it possible to send this value [123] to a dataset in order that all subrows are only relevant to the name with ID of 123? this is my first bash at SSRS so please no half cut answers, that just lead to more questions about the answer given :-) if this makes sense. Thanks

  • CakePHP repeats same queries

    - by Rytis
I have a model structure: Category hasMany Product hasMany Stockitem belongsTo Warehouse, Manufacturer. I fetch data with this code, using containable to be able to filter deeper in the associated models: $this->Category->find('all', array( 'conditions' => array('Category.id' => $category_id), 'contain' => array( 'Product' => array( 'Stockitem' => array( 'conditions' => array('Stockitem.warehouse_id' => $warehouse_id), 'Warehouse', 'Manufacturer', ) ) ), ) ); Data structure is returned just fine, however, I get multiple repeating queries like, sometimes hundreds of such queries in a row, based on dataset. SELECT `Warehouse`.`id`, `Warehouse`.`title` FROM `beta_warehouses` AS `Warehouse` WHERE `Warehouse`.`id` = 2 Basically, when building data structure Cake is fetching data from mysql over and over again, for each row. We have datasets of several thousand rows, and I have a feeling that it's going to impact performance. Is it possible to make it cache results and not repeat same queries?

  • Sqlite + Java: table not updating

    - by Ben L
I'm using a Java wrapper for SQLite called SQLiteJDBC - this may have some bearing on any answers... I have a table which I've displayed in a GUI, within that UI I have a button for the fields for an individual row of that table. When I save my changes I do this... Statement stmt = connection.createStatement(); stmt.execute("update 'tableName' set 'fieldName'=1 where userid=1"); int updateCount = stmt.getUpdateCount(); My connection is valid, I get no exceptions thrown and getUpdateCount() returns '1' indicating that one row has been updated. However my table is not updated. I've spent the last few hours trying to work out what's going on but I'm not having any luck. Help!!

  • Reading a text file in MATLAB line by line

  • Alternatives to UIWebView for rich content?

    - by ojreadmore
In my app, I am displaying 4 "tabs", each are local content through a UIWebView. I create HTML markup from my simple data. This is slow to load and I'm trying to speed it up. I'm using UIWebView to accomplish these: 1. hyperlinks 2. some styling - font colors 3. HTML tables Writing my own class to handle this is okay for (1.) hyperlinks - I can use a touch event to call a method. And (2.) styling - I can use UILables to do basic formatting, no biggie here. BUT what I really love about the UIWebViews is the (3.) HTML tables! I find it troublesome to line up the UILabels in a way that mimics HTML Tables, for instance, one cell's height in a row changes the height of all cells. I'm looking for another perspective or knowledge of an alternative.

  • SQL returns non-array value in PHP

    - by DeadMG
$request = 'SELECT * FROM flight WHERE Id = \''.$_SESSION['LFLightRadio'].'\''; $data = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query($request, $SQL)); echo '<table class="table">'; foreach($data as $key => $value) { echo '<th class="head" align="center" height="19">'.$key.'</th>'; } echo '<tr>'; foreach($data as $key => $value) { echo '<td class="cell" align="center" height="19">'.$value.'</td>'; } echo '</tr></table>'; I know that the LFlightRadio value is set, and is a value returned by the Id value of a previously returned row from the flight database. So within "flight", a record definitely exists with this Id. But, this still gives me a non-array result, so that when I try to use foreach on it, it errors out. Suggestions?

  • Pagination links do not work after first page

Hello, I am trying to fix this pagination script. It seems when I click on the pagination links [1][2][3][4]or[5] , it doesn't work. It just shows the first page and when clicking on the next numbers nothing happens. I hoping someone can see something in the script that I can not see. • SQL 2008 GUID column is all 0's

    - by Andy Evans
I'm hoping this is a simple goof I did on my end ... I have a table in my database set up like so: column name: widget_guid data type: uniqueidentifier allow nulls: false default value: newid() identity: false row guid: true When records are created (via LINQ to SQL) that the values in this field are formatted as a GUID but contain all 0's My assumption was that when a new record was created, that a guid would be autogenerated for that column, much like an auto-incrementing row id. Is this not true? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
