    I want a functionality similiar to Adobe AIR or Silverlight Out of Browser but without the need for downloading plugins. I want the user to be on the site, then click install, javascript takes over and save itself to the local file system where it can then be clicked, then started up in the browser. Similiar to save-file. Html5 will handle the offline execution, etc.

    hi i have to upload a video.but i want to gives permission only authenticate user to download .but i have a problem in that.because if any body type the video detail in browser.(ex http://sitename/folder_name/videoname) then browser download that video.but i don't want this .please suggest me how can i resolve this problem.either i should generate the video name randomly or make a temporary folder in which video reside only for specific time,after this video will be delete. This goes well for the smaller files, but for large files this can take a while and the bandfwith is fully used. My question is, is it possible to split large documents and send it piece by piece to the browser? I hold the document as a property of an object.

    Is there a good way to do this? I'm writing an extension that interacts with a website as a content script and saves data using localstorage. Are there any tools, frameworks, etc. that I can use to test this behavior? I realize there are some generic tools for testing javascript, but are those sufficiently power to test an extension? Unit testing is most important, but I'm also interested in other types of testing (such as integration testing).

    When an external JavaScript file is referenced, <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script> is the JavaScript source (lines of code before interpretation) available from the DOM or window context in the current HTML page? I mean by using only standard JavaScript without any installed components or tools. I know tools like Firebug trace into external source but it's installed on the platform and likely has special ability outside the context of the browser sandbox.

    Hi i tried to implement a servlet with servlet (in tomcat 6) which act as as a proxy (for browser), it takes the parsed url, use apache httpclient to get the result & push it back to the client (browser), with http it works well, doesnt work with https , seems the problem concerns unsupported CONNECT method in servlet-api & servlet even doesn't see the request is there any solution/workaround for this? thanx in advanced

I was thinking something like getElementsByTagName('body')[0].innerHTML of a pdf document, then pass this to php using ajax and saving to server.Can I do this...

    I'm trying to compile a program called hiQlab on OSX 10.8 g++ -g -O2 -I`echo /Users/.../Documents/hiQlab/hiqlab-2006-07-20/tools/`/lua/include -I`echo /Users/.../Documents/hiQlab/hiqlab-2006-07-20/tools/`/tolua++/include -c cscmatrix.cc cscmatrix.cc:13:12: fatal error: 'umfpack.h' file not found #include "umfpack.h" but I just installed SuiteSparse through macports which includes umfpack and umfpack.h is in fact present in default directory /opt/local/include/ do I need to add the path or something?     hi, how can I fix this problem on Internet Explorer 7: If I resize the browser window you'll see that the letters of the last tag on the right (in the header) are displayed in vertical one above each other. This happen only in IE, and not in other browser (you can better see the bug by visiting the website: http://www.sanstitre.ch/drupal/portfolio How can I ask IE 7 to consider the word as block, and move it to next line instead of listing the letters in vertical ? thanks

    I believe Adobe tools like CS5 have ways to output as an iPhone app, but what about a regular AS3 or Flex project? Are there any tools to auto-port, or AS3/Flex iPhone implementations out there? Out of interest, how does the CS5 thing work? Is it a totally different code-path or something less drastic? For instance Flash supports Shapes and Timelines, etc... do they in fact provide an iPhone Flash runtime of some sort?
