  • How can I get started with using WF 4.0 in typical web site scenerios?

    I have developed for SharePoint and in those cases it is clear how workflow can help (You have documents that needs approval and there are built in SharePoint workflows for this) But now I am doing standard ASP.NET web CRUD apps with WCF. I would like to find a way to get WF 4.0 invovled but I am not sure how to do it and never see any examples.... Can anyone give me some basic scenerios that I could use WF for?

  • .htaccess ForceType returning 404 Not Found

    I have a .htaccess file which contains: <FilesMatch "^api$"> ForceType application/x-httpd-php SetHandler application/x-httpd-php </FilesMatch> This works on my local server but not on my actual host. When I try to access http://www.domain.com/api/path/info it just returns 404 Not Found, the output on my local server is $_SERVER['PATH_INFO'] and looks like it should. How do I resolve this issue at my host?

    On one server running openSUSE 12.1 (upgraded from 11.x) time to time OpenLDAP service stops. According to logs something/someone stops it using systemd API (the API that systemctl command uses), but probably without calling any command line (for OpenLDAP systemd calls /etc/init.d/ldap, we have added ps fax >> /var/log/stopped_ldap to it, we see that the script gets called, but don't see it's caller nor anything calling systemctl). How to enable logging of systemd calls and callers to pinpoint what exactly is stopping OpenLDAP.

    Hello, I know that with loaded servers, roundrobin in HAproxy (1.4.4) does not evenly distribute, but my servers are currently getting NO traffic (test setup), and roundrobin balancing does www1,www1,www1,www1,www1,...www2,www2,www2,...,www1... Ubuntu has ec2-ami-tools and ec2-api-tools, but I couldn't find equivalent packages for Debian. A blog post titled "Install EC2 AMI & API tools in Debian" talks about installing Amazon's packages outside package management, but that seems a little clumsy.

    I have a server with 5 ISP connections, i am using Apache web server and php engine to run my application. Outgoing request to different API now needs to be send through a specific ISP (or a different IPs). All my API request are sent using PHP and Web server. I am not sure that php will directly communicate with Gateway or it send request via web server. Please help me to setup this. Thanks in advance.

Currently the only way to do this is through the HTTP proxy feature of the firewall; however, the software itself does not support proxy configuration. So I am wondering is it possible to setup a reverse proxy for the API that goes through the HTTP proxy? The server is running WS2003. I can install any software on it.

    We are trying to log requests made through an nginx load balancer. When we make requests to our server on a subdomain (api.blah.com), the request does not show up in the access logs However, requests made directly to blah.com do show up in the access logs. CONFIGURATION INFO We have a DNS record that creates a CNAME for the subdomain 'api' TRIED SO FAR We have tried looking in nginx.conf for exclusions (or anything that would be telling it to not log) We have tried adding server entries with the subdomain specifically and telling those to log but nothing seems to make a difference

    Is it possible programmatically to discover the exported names (globals, entry points, whatever) in a Windows DLL file without implementing a parser for the binary executable file format itself? I know there are tools to do this (though no open source ones I've found), but I'm curious whether there is a Windows API to accomplish the same thing or whether such tools operate merely by examining the binary file directly. I suspect there is an API for .NET libraries: if that's the case then is there a similar one for native DLLs? Edit: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1128150 is basically an exact duplicate. The answer there is roughly "there is no API, but you can hack it using LoadLibraryEx() and navigating a few resulting data structures". Edit: I was able to use the accepted answer at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1128150 to create a quick DLL dumper with Python and ctypes that works.

    Hi i got the following problem: I want the user to authenticate my app, so i want to show the authorisation dialog. To do this, i tried the api function FB.api("/dialog/oauth", "get", {client_id: APP_ID, redirect_uri: URI}, function(response){ console.log(response); }); But i get this error: code: 2500 message: "Unknown path components: /oauth" type: "OAuthException" But why? The FB.api call should be the same like http://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=<app-id>&redirect_uri=<uri> If i put this url in the browser directly, the dialog is shown. ('window.location' also doesn´t work because of x-frame-options)

    Where does Internet Explorer store saved passwords? And since this is a programming site, i'm not literally asking for the location where IE stores passwords, but which API ie uses to save passwords. At first i assumed that Microsoft was using the standard api: CredRead CredWrite which is used to save domain and generic program/web-site credentials. CredRead/CredWrite turn around and use CryptProtectData CryptUnprotectData to encrypt data with the current user's account. CredRead/CredWrite then store the data in some magical location, which contents you can see from the control panel: But i don't see IE passwords in there. So ie doesn't store passwords using CredRead/CredWrite. What api does IE use to store passwords, and if it uses CryptProtectData, where does it then store the protected data?

    I'm building an iPad app that will have multiple paper pages and I'd like to implement a page transition affect that is similar to the animation you see when you turn pages in the iBooks app on the iPad. A few questions... Is that animation readily available somewhere in the UIKit API or would I have to implement it myself? If I have to implement it myself, what's a good approach or API I should look into? It definitely has a 3d feel to it, could they be using the OpenGL ES API for that? I need to call Win32 unmanaged code(DLL exported functions) at runtime i.e (knowing the types of data types in Win32 signatures and need to pass data according to that type at runtime). This is 100% possible in case of COM. You can convert COM unmanaged code to managed assemblies using tlbimp.exe and use now reflection API to work with those managed types(actual were unmanaged types now converted managed using tlbimp). But same functionality I need to get in terms of Win32(i.e) in .NET framework. How?? I know MS provided Export table reading API ..but I couldn't find exact API for InterOp of Win32 unmanaged code Regards

  • using AudioQueues with AudioFileReadBytes

    Hey Im trying to work with Audio queues to play a very big mp3 file (arround 23 hours long). when audio queue asks for buffers though callback, im using AudioFileReadBytes() API to read the bytes from audio file and feed the queue. startQueue fails with the error : prime failed any inputs????? Also I succeeded playing file using AudioFileReadPackets API instead of AudioFileReadBytes(). But the problem with API is that when I seek (fast forward) by a long interval, say 9 hours (for example fast forward from 32 mins playtime to 9:32 mins) then AudioFileReadPackets() takes a long time (almost 2 mins) to read from new location. any comments would be greatly appreciated.
