  Hi, I have created the Contact list. I feed proper data where required in my personal sharepoint site. Bu when I look for the specific name or any key word that present in contact list it shows message : No results matching your search were found. Check your spelling. Are the words in your query spelled correctly? Try using synonyms. Maybe what you're looking for uses slightly different words. Make your search more general. Try more general terms in place of specific ones. Try your search in a different scope. Different scopes can have different results. Where is, I am giving proper inputs by following these instructions. What should be problem. Is i nees to make any setting for make my data searchable ?

• How to avoid Cartesian product in an INNER JOIN query?

  I have 6 tables, let's call them a,b,c,d,e,f. Now I want to search all the colums (except the ID columns) of all tables for a certain word, let's say 'Joe'. What I did was, I made INNER JOINS over all the tables and then used LIKE to search the columns. INNER JOIN ... ON INNER JOIN ... ON.......etc. WHERE a.firstname ~* 'Joe' OR a.lastname ~* 'Joe' OR b.favorite_food ~* 'Joe' OR c.job ~* 'Joe'.......etc. The results are correct, I get all the colums I was looking for. But I also get some kind of cartesian product, I get 2 or more lines with almost the same results. How can i avoid this? I want so have each line only once, since the results should appear on a web search.

• WSDL: What do I do with it? Add service Reference? Noobie question

  Hey guys! I have been given a WSDL with all the method requests and responses, and all the objects I'll need to use for creating a few webmethods. The thing is, I don't know what to do with it. I've added the WSDL as a Service Reference. I can see the methods and structures, I can instantiate them, it's all there, but the project doesn't build as soon as I add the WSDL. "Error 2 The type name 'ServiceReference1' does not exist in the type 'WSPELab.WSPELab' C:\Users\JJ\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\WSPELab\WSPELab\Service References\ServiceReference1\Reference.cs 21 111 WSPELabSLN Is it a stupid namespace error on my part? EDIT : Forgot to add this. With the WSDL added, can I used the structures it contains directly? Or are they just "listings" for me to implement? Thanks!

• What is the recommended toolchain for formatting XML DocBook?

  I've seen Best tools for working with DocBook XML documents, but my question is slightly different. Which is the currently recommended formatting toolchain - as opposed to editing tool - for XML DocBook? In Eric Raymond's 'The Art of Unix Programming' from 2003 (an excellent book!), the suggestion is XML-FO (XML Formatting Objects), but I've since seen suggestions here that indicated that XML-FO is no longer under development (though I can no longer find that question on StackOverflow, so maybe it was erroneous). Assume I'm primarily interested in Unix/Linux (including MacOS X), but I wouldn't automatically ignore Windows-only solutions. Is Apache's FOP the best way to go? Are there any alternatives?

• UIDatePicker - Problem Localizing

  Hello, I've created a UIDatePicker in my app and I also have support for several languages. My UIDatePicker is created in Interface Builder, and I have created a seperate localization XIB so I can customize my UIDatePicker. Setting the "Locale" option in IB appears to do nothing. Attempting to change my DatePicker programatically with Locale and NSCalender also do nothing via the following code: NSLocale * locale = [[NSLocale alloc] initWithLocaleIdentifier:@"es_ES"]; datePicker.locale = locale; datePicker.calender = [locale objectForKey:NSLocaleCalender]; This results in an english picker. Here's the really weird thing though. The word for "Today" is translated. As seen in the attached screenshot. (OK I'm not allowed to post images. But imagine a Date & Time picker with "May" in English and "Today" written "Ajourd'hui". Based on what I've read, adding the UIDatePicker programatically doesn't seem to help much.

• Pool Billiard AI

  Im implementing a pool billiard game in Java and it all works fine. It is a multiplayer game, but nevertheless, it should also be possible to play it alone. For this purpose I'm trying to implement a simple KI. At the moment, the KI choose just randomly a direction and a random intensity of the impulse (don't know the correct english word for that). Of course this AI is very poor and unlikely to ever challenge a player. So i thought about improving the KI, but there are several hard to solve problems. First I thought of just choosing the nearest ball and to try to put it directly into the nearest hole. This isn't that bad, but if there other balls in the line between, it isn't really working anymore. Additionally this dosn't solve te problem of calculating the intensity of the impulse. So are there any general advice? Or any ideas? Best practices?

  Hello! I'm writing a program that will concatenate a string based on letters, and then check an array to see if that string exists. If it does, then it will print a line in IB saying so. I've got all the ins-and-outs worked out, save for the fact that the simulator keeps crashing on me! • IA-32: Pushing a byte onto a stack isn't possible on Pentium, why?

  Hi, I've come to learn that you cannot push a byte directly onto the Intel Pentium's stack, can anyone explain this to me please? The reason that I've been given is because the esp register is word-addressable (or, that is the assumption in our model) and it must be an "even address". I would have assumed decrementing the value of some 32-bit binary number wouldn't mess with the alignment of the register, but apparently I don't understand enough. I have tried some NASM tests and come up that if I declare a variable (bite db 123) and push it on to the stack, esp is decremented by 4 (indicating that it pushed 32-bits?). But, "push byte bite" (sorry for my choice of variable names) will result in a kind error: test.asm:10: error: Unsupported non-32-bit ELF relocation Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated during this troubled time. I am first year undergraduate so sorry for my naivety in any of this. Tim

  Hi, I'm automating Word with Delphi, but some times I got an error message: The requested member of the collection does not exist It seems that the Item member of the Styles collection class does not always exist and some times causes the above mentioned error. My workaround is to catch the exception and skip it, but is there anyway to detect it instead of using the try...except block? The problem with the try...except block is that when debugging the raised exception is annoying... According to the android google maps API v2: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/android/views the way to set a specific zoom value is "CameraUpdateFactory.zoomTo(float)" and the same api https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/android/reference/com/google/android/gms/maps/CameraUpdateFactory#zoomTo(float) tells that the minimum argument to this function is 2. but when I call the function: mMap.moveCamera(CameraUpdateFactory.zoomTo(2)); The viewport of the world map is just a little bigger than Australia... • Convert a user's search string into a MS SQL `Full-Text Query` Search Phrase

  I've search for answers for this and I can't seem to find an answer to what should be somewhat simple. This is related to another question I asked, but it's different. What's the best way to take a user's search phrase and throw it into a CONTAINSTABLE(table, column, @phrase, topN ) phrase? Say, for example the user inputs: Books by "Dr. Seuss" What's the best way to turn that into something that will return results in my ContainsTAble() phrase? I was previously parsing the search phrase and writing something like ISABOUT("Books" WEIGHT(1.0), "by" WEIGHT(0.9), "Dr. Seuss" WEIGHT(0.8)) as my @phrase but ISABOUT seems to be returning odd results... especially when one word searches are entered. Any Ideas?

  hi all, in a table view i have set a UISearchBar set the delegate and add the protocol. When user tap a word everything is ok exept that the search of "tennis" and "Tennis" is not the same.   NSXMLParserInvalidCharacterError # 9 This is the error I get when I hit a weird character (like quotes copied and pasted from word to the web form, that end up in the feed). The feed I am using is not giving an encoding, and their is no hope for me to get them to change that. This is all I get in the header: < ?xml version="1.0"? < rss version="2.0" What can I do about illegal characters when parsing feeds? Do I sweep the data prior to the parse? Is there something I am missing in the API? Has anyone dealt with this issue?

  Hi, I'm playing around with Lucene and noticed that the use of a hyphen (e.g. "semi-final") will result in two words ("semi" and "final" in the index. How is this supposed to match if the users searches for "semifinal", in one word? Edit: I'm just playing around with the StandardTokenizer class actually, maybe that is why? Am I missing a filter? Thanks! Now we have also implemented the application on a other machine ServerB (application server only,windows Server 2003, IIS 6.0) database is pointed towards serverA. Everything works fine but the problem is we have some web forms where we are allowing some users to attach some files like documents , pdf etc. But the Public users are facing problem with the attachments. • Disabling scoring in Lucene(.NET)

  Hi, When searching, is there a way to disable scoring for any query? The scenario is that the user refines his query by trying different combinations of words, phrases etc., and needs realtime (well, reasonably fast at least) responses on the number of hits. Search time slows down a lot when there are millions of hits due to scoring, but the user really doesn't care about all these documents. As soon as he sees there are 1M+ hits he will start adding additional words to the query. A "Sort by relevance" option would allow him to do this quickly, while turning scoring back on when the number of hits is reasonable. Is this possible? I'm using Lucene.NET 2.9.2 but AFAIK it is identical to the Java version.

• Why can you reference an imported module using the importing module in python

  I am trying to understand why any import can be referenced using the importing module, e.g #module master.py import slave and then >>>import master >>>print master.slave gives <module 'slave' from 'C:\Documents and Settings....'> What is the purpose of the feature? I can see how it can be helpful in a package's __init__.py file, but nothing else. Is it a side effect of the fact that every import is added to the module's namespace and that the module's namespace is visible from the outside? If so, why didn't they make an exception with data imported from other modules (e.g don't show it as part of the module's namespace for other modules)?

• Why is my AJAX request hanging after running for a while?

  My AJAX calls from a page I wrote is hanging after an indeterminate number of calls. The page makes a request after a preset amount of time (currently 5 seconds) gets data from my server then waits the amount of time again. When I put the following as my AJAX Request: myAjax = new Ajax.Request( url, { method: 'get', asynchronous: true, url: url, parameters: querystring, onInteractive: document.getElementById('meh').innerHTML='Interactive', onSuccess: processXML }); The div with the id "meh" will get the word Interactive written to it, but the Success condition never gets executed (same if onSuccess is replaced with onComplete). So why is my code doing this? Thanks.
