• Determine size of SizeToContent WPF Window before its rendered

  I have a window in my WPF application that is displayed on occasion. When it is shown it is faded in with an annimation, and when closed it is faded out. Nothing fancy, just a storyboard that modifies the opacity. Actually the window is never really closed, the opacity is just faded out to 0 where it remains until its to be displayed again. This window is an informative window and doesn't always show the same content. It is sized to content (Width and Height) and works well in that regard. The user chooses the basic area of the screen for it to be displayed (TopLeft, TopRight, Center, BottomLeft, BottomRight). Before the window is faded in the content is updated. Because the window is sized to content it increases or descreases in size. The width and height can change. When positioning the window, lets say, in the bottom right corner, I simply take the WorkingArea of the screen (width and height) and then minus the width/height of the window to get the Top and Left position that I need. The logic works, but the trouble I am having is the Window's Height and Width is not returning the size it is after the content was updated, but is returning the size it was the last time it was displayed. I am assuming this is because it hasn't yet been rendered with the new content. This causes me grief becuase if the Window is larger than it was the last time it obviously extends off the screen. I tried positioning the window in the OnContentRendered event, but this only fires once when the Window is created, not after the content has been updated, when the opacity is set to 0. Does anyone have any idea how I might get an accurate width and height of this window before it is faded in? Any help would be appreciated!!

• Is there a possibility to enable CSS3 features for internet explorer users ?

  I'm using CSS 3 features like "rounded corner" or "shadow box". IMHO These are fantastic features for people like me with no graphics knowledge. But, i've noticed, IE 7-8 not support CSS 3. So i'm asking you: is there a way to "enable" some features maybe with some javascript functions to include in my html file ? Thank you!

  I just downloaded jQuery UI Tabs. In the included index.html file, it works fine, CSS and all, with no customization. I copied the files over to my web server, keeping the directory structure intact, and copied the content code to my already-existing index.html, but it does not work. • jQuery Cycle plugin IE6/7 issues

  I've implemented a slideshow using the Cycle plugin, which is working in all browsers except IE6&7, where the images just show up in a list, and the #page_copy div is not hiding. I've been going through the code all day without any luck, and not exactly sure how or what I should be looking for. What would be the best way to go about debugging this issue? • Zend Framework + Uplodify Flash Uploader Troubles

  I've been trying to get the Uploadify flash uploader (www.uploadify.com) to work with Zend Framework, with no success so far. I have placed all Uploadify files under /public/flash-uploader directory. • ASP.NET validations not showing up after AJAX calls are made (SharePoint 2007)

  I have an AJAX form on SharePoint 2007. If I don't call AJAX on the page, the validations all work fine and the css for the validations shows up. Once I make an AJAX call (say, Create Customer), all the validations still work, but the css for the validations does not show up. Any ideas?

• Load external style sheets on request from a different origin

  Hi, Is there a plugin or feature in jQuery that enables the dynamic loading of stylesheets from different origins similar to $.getJSON() or $.getScript()? I am able to dynamically integrate a style sheet from the same origin, but I need to be able to dynamically inject a jQuery UI theme from a different origin into a page. I guess I can load the CSS file as JSON data and then apply the contents using $().css(); however, I was looking for a more elegant solution. Thanks

• JavaScript/Dojo Module Pattern - how to debug?

  I'm working with Dojo and using the "Module Pattern" as described in Mastering Dojo. So far as I can see this pattern is a general, and widely used, JavaScript pattern. My question is: How do we debug our modules? So far I've not been able to persuade Firebug to show me the source of my module. Firebug seems to show only the dojo eval statement used to execute the factory method. Hence I'm not able to step through my module source. I've tried putting "debugger" statements in my module code, and Firebug seems to halt correctly, but does not show the source. Contrived example code below. This is just an example of sufficient complexity to make the need for debugging plausible, it's not intended to be useful code. • Multiple Git repositories in one directory

  Hello, I would like to deploy a directory to multiple developers having different permissions. So this is one thing Git cannot do. What about creating two repositories in one directory and assigning them different file lists by excluding files managed by the other repository with the .gitignore file. Example: /www/project/.git for all files execpt in /www/project/css /www/project/css/.git - only files in this directory Has anyone tried this solution? • jquery ui datepicker is huge

  Hi, im trying to add a datepicker to my symfony application and i got it working, but the size of the datepicker is about 3 times bigger than normal (on the demo page). I have not edited any CSS, i just used the default ui lightness theme no modifications. Does anybody have any idea why the size is blown up so big?   I am using a simple text editor from YUI, but when I click submit the code in the textarea/editor is not sent to the next page. I want to be able to receive it on the subsequent page and then store it in a DB(MySql). I have wasted lot of time already. Please help. • Cant get flexigrid to work in Jquery Tools Tab

  Im fairly new to jquery and Im using jquery tools for tabs. I am wanting in one of the tabs to show flexigrid, but when I try to do this flexigrid does not show up, its just blank. If I setup flexigrid in a stand alone page outside the tab it works just fine. Below is the code that isnt working. • Any good SASS parser for PHP?

  I'm currently using a modified CSS Cacheer as an alternative but its syntax is somewhat vague and adoption is, well, abysmally low... Documentation is hard to come by as well. I'm looking to switch to SASS as it has a bigger user base than CSS Cacheer and better documentation. I am aware of phpHaml but it doesn't have support for SASS yet. Any recommendation on a SASS parser for PHP? Preferably it should support SassScript.

  Im playing around with the Tablesorter plug-in for jQuery and was trying to get a very simple grouping functionality added into it. Using the follow html/js works great until you click sort again and reverse the order. The headers get moved to the bottom of the group when this happens. • stringstream problem - vector iterator not dereferencable

  Hello I've got a problem with the following code snippet. It is related to the stringstream "stringstream css(cv.back())" bit. If it is commented out the program will run ok. It is really weird, as I keep getting it in some of my programs, but if I just create a console project the code will run fine. In some of my Win32 programs it will and in some it won't (then it will return "vector iterator not dereferencable" but it will compile just fine). Any ideas at all would be really appreciated.
