Trying to run Selenium tests using Hudson - "Error: no display specified"

I'm trying to get Selenium tests to work when they are executed by Hudson, but I have not been successful so far. Hudson is running on Ubuntu, and Selenium is unable to open display. Mercurial "hg clone" on Windows via ssh with plink issue

I have a Windows Server 2008 machine (iis7) that has CopSSH set up on it. To connect to it, I have a Windows 7 machine with Mercurial 1.5.1 (and TortoiseHg) installed. I can connect to the server using PuTTY with a non-standard ssh port and a .ppk file just fine. So I know the server can be SSH'd into. Next, I wanted to use the CLI to connect via hg clone to get a private repo. I've seen elsewhere that you need to have ssh configured in your mercurial.ini file, so my mercurial.ini has a line: ssh = plink.exe -ssh -C -l username -P #### -i "C:/Program Files/PuTTY/Key Files/KyleKey.ppk" Note: username is filled in with the username I set up via copSSH. #### is filled in with the non-standard ssh port I've defined for copSSH. I try to do the command hg clone ssh://inthom.com but I get this error: remote: bash: inthom.com: command not found abort: no suitable response from remote hg! It looks like hg or plink parses the hostname such that it thinks that inthom.com is a command instead of the server to ssh to. That's really odd. Next, I tried to just use plink to connect by plink -P #### ssh://inthom.com, and I am then prompted for my username, and next password. I enter them both and then I get this error: bash: ssh://inthom.com: No such file or directory So now it looks like plink doesn't parse the hostname correctly. I fiddled around for a while trying to figure out how to do call hg clone with an empty ssh:// field and eventually figured out that this command allows me to reach the server and clone a test repo on the inthom.com server: hg clone ssh://!/Repos/test ! is the character I've found that let's me leave the hostname blank, but specify the repo folder to clone. What I really don't understand is how plink knows what server to ssh to at all. neither my mercurial.ini nor the command specify a server. None of the hg clone examples I've seen have a ! character. They all use an address, which makes sense, so you can connect to any repo via ssh that you want to clone. My only guess is that it somehow defaults to the last server I used PuTTY to SSH to, but I SSH'd into another server, and then tried to use plink to get to it, but plink still defaults to inthom.com (verified with the -v arg to plink). So I am at a loss as to how plink gets this server value at all. For "fun", I tried using TortoiseHg and can only clone a repo when I use ssh://!/Repos/test as the Source. Now, you can see that, since plink doesn't parse the hostname correctly, I had to specify the port number and username in the mercurial.ini file, instead of in the hostname like [email protected]:#### like you'd expect to. Trying to figure this out at first drove me insane, because I would get errors that the host couldn't be reached, which I knew shouldn't be the case. My question is how can I configure my setup so that ssh://[email protected]:####/Repos/test is parsed correctly as the username, hostname, port number, and repo to copy? Is it something wrong with the version of plink that I'm using, or is there some setting I may have messed up? If it is plink's fault, is there an alternative tool I can use? I'm going to try to get my friend set up to connect to this same repo, so I'd like to have a clean solution instead of this ! business. Especially when I have no idea how plink gets this default server, so I'm not sure if he'd even be able to get to inthom.com correctly. PS. I've had to use a ton of different tutorials to even get to this stage. Therefore, I haven't tried pushing any changes to the server yet. Hopefully I'll get this figured out and then I can try pushing changes to the repo.

Copying values of one table to another (how to convert this js function to jQuery)

Hi All, I am stuck with a small problem here.. What i am trying to do is copy description of id's from one table to another. I have writter half of the javascript and can anybody tell me how to convert this function in jquery. I want the description copied from the first table based on the id to the second table. Have done this in jquery using 'contains', (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2449845/comparing-2-tables-column-values-and-copying-the-next-column-content-to-the-secon) since there are 1000 table rows, the explorer crashes. JFrame not working correctly

This is making me very angry, I have worked on this for 2 days, have 2 books open and have looked through them, and STILL can't get this program to run the way I want it run. I'm getting to the point where if this doesn't help, I quit. I want a SIMPLE Frame application. It has a JComboBox centered at the top. But the result is, only one file is installed (attached) to the artifact. The maven protocol is: distrib-0.1-SNAPSHOT.zip distrib-0.1-SNAPSHOT.zip The plugin is using the artifact-id instead of property finalName! Is this a bug? The last installation is overwriting the first one. What can i do to install this two files with different names? Thanks for your investigation. Roland

I have written a feature(Site scoped) that adds custom menu items to the New Menu and EditControlBlock of document library. These menu items should show up only when the user has add and edit permissions for that document library. If he selected the menu, url is redirected to my webpart. Webpart is deployed in site collection. To do this i have two way. I mentioned in as case 1 & case 2. Help Repainting a Line

I am doing a custom control (inherited from VisualBasic.PowerPacks.LineShape), that should be painted like as standard one, but also having a Icon displayed near it. Deleting unreferenced child records with nhibernate

Hi There I am working on a mvc app using nhibernate as the orm (ncommon framework) I have parent/child entities: Product, Vendor & ProductVendors and a one to many relationship between them with Product having a ProductVendors collection Product.ProductVendors. I currently am retrieving a Product object and eager loading the children and sending these down the wire to my asp.net mvc client. A user will then modify the list of Vendors and post the updated Product back. I am using a custom model binder to generate the modified Product entity. I am able to update the Product fine and insert new ProductVendors. My problem is that dereferenced ProductVendors are not cascade deleted when specifying Product.ProductVendors.Clear() and calling _productRepository.Save(product). The problem seems to be with attaching the detached instance. Trying to work through my javascript book I am referencing to learn the language and got stuck on looping through siblings of a specific row. W3schools and W3 didnt have what i was looking for. Below is a function walk-through... It reads: Create the countRecords() function. The purpose of this function is to count the number of visible rows in the data table after the table headings. The total is then displayed in the table cell with the id "records". Add the follow commands to the function: a. Create a object named headRow that points to the table row with the id "titleRow". Create a variable named rowCount, setting its initial value to 0. b. Create a for loop that uses familial references starting with the first sibling of headRow and moving to the next sibling until there are no siblings left. Within the for loop. test whether the node name of the currentnext sibling until there are no sibilings left. Within the for loop test whether the node name of the current node is equal to "TR". If it is, test wheter the value of its display style is equal to an empty text string. If it is (indicating that it is visible in the document) increate the value of the rowCount variable by 1. c. Change the text of the "records" table cell to the value of the rowCount variable. Don't use innerHTML. nhibernate cascade - problem with detached entities

I am going nuts here trying to resolve a cascading update/delete issue :-) I have a Parent Entity with a collection Child Entities. If I modify the list of Child entities in a detached Parent object, adding, deleting etc - I am not seeing the updates cascaded correctly to the Child collection. As the cascade is set to all-delete-orphan I assume that changes to the collection would be propagated to the relevant entities/tables? In this case deletes? What am I missing here? C

Why are transactions not rolling back when using SpringJUnit4ClassRunner/MySQL/Spring/Hibernate

I am doing unit testing and I expect that all data committed to the MySQL database will be rolled back... but this isn't the case. The data is being committed, even though my log was showing that the rollback was happening. I've been wrestling with this for a couple days so my setup has changed quite a bit, here's my current setup. Table header is not shown

Styling definition lists - IE clear:both bug

Hi guys, I'm trying to style a definition list properly. So far I've got the style that I wanted in Firefox 3.5 and IE 8 but I couldn't get IE6 and IE7 to behave properly... I've already tried any kind of hack and trickery I could possibly think of. It seems like the "clear:both" on the dt doesn't work in IE<=7... Below is the "test page" that I'm using. Ensuring a divs content has changed over time in Selenium

I have a div that contains a slideshow. ( http://film.robinhoodtax.org/issues/education ) I am using Selenium to test it. So far I have been using the HTML/Selenium script below to validate that the slideshow is actually working. But my assertEval is failing. How can I correctly detect the slideshow and make sure it is moving?. Using dynamic enum as type in a parameter of a method

XSLT split text and preserve HTML tags

I have an xml that has a description node: <config> <desc>A <b>first</b> sentence here. The second sentence with some link <a href="myurl">The link</a>. The <u>third</u> one.</desc> </config> I am trying to split the sentences using dot as separator but keeping in the same time in the HTML output the eventual HTML tags. What I have so far is a template that splits the description but the HTML tags are lost in the output due to the normalize-space and substring-before functions. Null-free "maps": Is a callback solution slower than tryGet()?

In comments to "How to implement List, Set, and Map in null free design?", Steven Sudit and I got into a discussion about using a callback, with handlers for "found" and "not found" situations, vs. a tryGet() method, taking an out parameter and returning a boolean indicating whether the out parameter had been populated. Steven maintained that the callback approach was more complex and almost certain to be slower; I maintained that the complexity was no greater and the performance at worst the same. But code speaks louder than words, so I thought I'd implement both and see what I got. The original question was fairly theoretical with regard to language ("And for argument sake, let's say this language don't even have null") -- I've used Java here because that's what I've got handy. Java doesn't have out parameters, but it doesn't have first-class functions either, so style-wise, it should suck equally for both approaches. (Digression: As far as complexity goes: I like the callback design because it inherently forces the user of the API to handle both cases, whereas the tryGet() design requires callers to perform their own boilerplate conditional check, which they could forget or get wrong. But having now implemented both, I can see why the tryGet() design looks simpler, at least in the short term.) But, on a hunch, I added some garbage collection, and the performance penalty vanished. This fits with my instinct, which is that we're basically talking about taking the same number of method calls, conditional checks, etc. and rearranging them. But then, I wrote the code, so I might well have written a suboptimal or subconsicously penalized tryGet() implementation. Thoughts?
