    I need to have a list with id's for each list item being #one, #two etc. Is this the most efficient way or am I missing an in built ruby function here? -num_array = ["one", "two", "three", "four", "five", "six", "seven"] -navigation[:primary_level].each_with_index do |primary_item, idx| %li{ :id => "#{num_array[idx]}"}

  • Using version control with SSIS packages (saving 'sensitive' data)

    - by sandesh247
    Hi. We are a team working on a bunch of SSIS packages, which we share using version control (SVN). We have three ways of saving sensitive data in these packages : not storing them at all storing them with a user key storing them with a password However, each of these options is inconvenient while testing packages saved and committed by an other developer. For each such package, one has to update the credentials, no matter how the sensitive data was persisted. Is there a better way to collaborate on SSIS packages?

  • Drupal Ctools Form Wizard in a Block

    - by Iamjon
    Hi everyone I created a custom module that has a Ctools multi step form. It's basically a copy of http://www.nicklewis.org/using-chaos-tools-form-wizard-build-multistep-forms-drupal-6. The form works. I can see it if I got to the url i made for it. For the life of me I can't get the multistep form to show up in a block. Any clues? /** * Implementation of hook_block() * */ function mycrazymodule_block($op='list', $delta=0, $edit=array()) { switch ($op) { case 'list': $blocks[0]['info'] = t('SFT Getting Started'); $blocks[1]['info'] = t('SFT Contact US'); • Ruby on Rails: jQuery datepicker - dates between validation

    - by Jazz
    I have an app that allows a user to create new projects, and the search for them later. One of the options they have when creating a project is giving them start and end dates. At the moment all the code works properly for creating and searching on the dates, but I am now wanting to restrict what dates the user can enter. I am needing for an error to flag up when the user tries to enter an end date that is before the start date. It's really more for when the user is creating the project. Here is my code so far = Application.js //= require jquery //= require jquery_ujs //= require jquery-ui //= require jquery.ui.all //= require_tree . $(function() { $("#project_start_date").datepicker({dateFormat: 'dd-mm-yy'}); }); $(function() { $("#project_end_date").datepicker({dateFormat: 'dd-mm-yy'}); }); jQuery(function(){ jQuery('#start_date_A').datepicker({dateFormat: "dd-mm-yy"}); }); jQuery(function(){ jQuery('#start_date_B').datepicker({dateFormat: "dd-mm-yy"}); }); New View: <div class="start_date" STYLE="text-align: left;"> <b>Start Date:</b> <%= f.text_field :start_date, :class => 'datepicker', :style => 'width: 80px;' %> </div> <div class="end_date" STYLE="text-align: left;"> <b>End Date:</b> <%= f.text_field :end_date, :class => 'datepicker', :style => 'width: 80px;' %> </div> Search View: Start dates between <%= text_field_tag :start_date_A, params[:start_date_A], :style => 'width: 80px;' %> - <%= text_field_tag :start_date_B, params[:start_date_B], :style => 'width: 80px;' %></br> I tried following examples online to get this to work by doing this in the application.js file: $(function() { $("#project_start_date,#project_end_date").datepicker({dateFormat: 'dd-mm-yy'}); }); jQuery(function(){ jQuery('#start_date_A,#start_date_B').datepicker({dateFormat: "dd-mm-yy"}); }); But then the script doesn't run. I am new to rails and javascript so any help at all is appreciated. Thanks in advance. UPDATE: Don't know why my question has been voted to be closed. It's quite simple: I need an error to flag up when the user tries to enter an end date that is before the start date. How can I do that??

  • Dealing with development and large javascript files?

    - by maxp
    When dealing with websites with large amount of javascript, i see that these are still usually served to the client as one large javascript file. In the development phase, are the javascript files usually split up (say there are 300 lines of js) to make things abit more manageable, and then merged when the website is 'put live'? Or do the developers just put up with working in one long large file?

  • Read/Write file metadata using C/C++

    - by Rajendra Kumar Uppal
    Hi, Searched through net, could't find a way to read/write file metadata using C or C++, however, there are tools available for this, and also there are API's in C# and Java to do this. But I want to do it from scratch in C or C++. For example, read/write image metadata. Have found out that there are three formats in which metadata is written to files. EXIF, IPTC and XMP. Thanks.

  • How to convert binary, OCT, HEX to calculate in Java?

    - by user316751
    Write an application that inputs one number consisting of FIVE digits from the user, separates the number into its individual digits and prints the digits separated from one another by three spaces each. For example, if the user types in the number 12345, the program should print 1 2 3 4 5 The following screen dump of result is for your reference. Input a digit: 12345 Digits in 12345 = 1 2 3 4 5 How to convert binary, OCT, HEX to calculate the question?

  • iPhoneOS Core Data migration: moving something from an entity into a file

    - by Tim Sullivan
    I have a scenario where I'm moving the contents of a blob stored in a core data entity into a file. I need a way to export that data during a migration, where I know the entity that's being converted and save the blob to a file, writing the location of that file into the converted entity's appropriate attribute. I can't seem to find a way to do this. The docs regarding the Three Stage Migration seem to indicate what can be done, but I'm not sure where to define things, or what exactly to define.

  • dojo layout tutorial dor version 1.7 doesn't work for 1.7.2

    - by Sheena
    This is sortof a continuation to dojo1.7 layout acting screwy. So I made some working widgets and tested them out, i then tried altering my work using the tutorial at http://dojotoolkit.org/documentation/tutorials/1.7/dijit_layout/ to make the layout nice. After failing at that in many interesting ways (thus my last question) I started on a new path. My plan is now to implement the layout tutorial example and then stick in my widgets. For some reason even following the tutorial wont work... everything loads then disappears and I'm left with a blank browser window. Any ideas? It just struck me that it could be browser compatibility issues, I'm working on Firefox 13.0.1. As far as I know Dojo is supposed to be compatible with this... anyway, have some code: HTML: <body class="claro"> <div id="appLayout" class="demoLayout" data-dojo-type="dijit.layout.BorderContainer" data-dojo-props="design: 'headline'"> <div class="centerPanel" data-dojo-type="dijit.layout.ContentPane" data-dojo-props="region: 'center'"> <div> <h4>Group 1 Content</h4> <p>stuff</p> </div> <div> <h4>Group 2 Content</h4> </div> <div> <h4>Group 3 Content</h4> </div> </div> <div class="edgePanel" data-dojo-type="dijit.layout.ContentPane" data-dojo-props="region: 'top'"> Header content (top) </div> <div id="leftCol" class="edgePanel" data-dojo-type="dijit.layout.ContentPane" data-dojo-props="region: 'left', splitter: true"> Sidebar content (left) </div> </div> </body> Dojo Configuration: var dojoConfig = { baseUrl: "${request.static_url('mega:static/js')}", //this is in a mako template tlmSiblingOfDojo: false, packages: [ { name: "dojo", location: "libs/dojo" }, { name: "dijit", location: "libs/dijit" }, { name: "dojox", location: "libs/dojox" }, ], parseOnLoad: true, has: { "dojo-firebug": true, "dojo-debug-messages": true }, async: true }; other js stuff: require(["dijit/layout/BorderContainer", "dijit/layout/TabContainer", "dijit/layout/ContentPane", "dojo/parser"]); css: html, body { height: 100%; margin: 0; overflow: hidden; padding: 0; } #appLayout { height: 100%; } #leftCol { width: 14em; }

  • Assigning document.getElementById to another function

    - by Andreas Grech
    I am trying to do the following in JavaScript: var gete = document.getElementById; But I am getting the following error (From FireBug's Console): uncaught exception: [Exception... • JQuery Menu plugins under ASP.NET MVC seem to only work in Chrome, but not in IE & FireFox

    - by Antony
    Recently, I was trying to prototype some jQuery-based menu into ASP.NET MVC. Just to name two examples here: plugins.jquery.com/project/columnview www.filamentgroup.com/lab/jquery_ipod_style_and_flyout_menus/ Their demo page looks great, but when I integrate their sample code into MVC, the script no longer works in IE and FireFox, but it seems to work just fine under Google Chrome. Can someone kindly enough to point out what I missed? I will be honest here. I am still new to JavaScript, so it is still a learning phase to me, so any help is highly appreciated. I have placed a copy of my VS2010 solution zip file @ http://db.tt/0UNDkN Here is what I did. In the Site.Master, I have something like <body> <div class="page">{truncated...}</div> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="ScriptContent" runat="server" /> </body> And inside View file, I have the following <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <div id="original"> {some demo block, copied from javascript demo} </div> </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content3" ContentPlaceHolderID="ScriptContent" runat="server"> <script type="text/javascript" src="<%= Url.Content("~/Scripts/jquery.columnview.js") %>" /> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('#original').columnview(); }); </script> </asp:Content> Compiled the code and ran it under IE. Ideally, it should work like the demo in www.christianyates.com/blog/jquery/finder-column-view-hierarchical-lists-jquery, but in reality, it only displays unordered list in plain view. (If you download the solution file and run it, you should be able to repro this as well). Next, tried with FireFox, not working either, same result as IE. Finally, when I try it under Google Chrome 4.1 (lastest version), and the script displays just fine. Really puzzling here :-/ Thank you for reading :D

    Hello to all tired and frustrated programmers, There is a problem I can't solve: In my array list there are Object arrays with the length of three and always on the last cell of the array there is a double. I need a loop which goes through the array list and sums up all doubles. (I need also some other thing from the arrays so a general idea how to loop through an array list would be perfect :-)) Any ideas? Thanks for your help, Greetings Demian
