I want that every time that I put the mouse on the box, or on the triangke they both will change ther color together. when I put the mouse on the box it works fine, but when I put the mouse on the triangle it don't work.     I have a small shell script that plays a little jingle and displays a notification whenever I get a new email. The problem is that this shell script can get invoked anytime - including when I'm watching a DVD / video in fullscreen mode with the sound turned up quite a bit - which is quite annoying. I'd like to enhance this script with the ability to detect whether an application is in fullscreen mode. I know this must be somehow possible because notifications don't display under those circumstances. What command can I use?

    I have an Ubuntu box that I use for all sorts of things. One thing I really want to do is redirect a sub domain to a local script. For example thisbit.example.com should actually show the content from localhost/~USER/FAKE.thisbit.example.com/ which is a folder that Apache is running for me which contains a very simple PHP script which implements an offline version of a server script that I am testing against. But example.com should continue to behave normally as should notthisbit.example.com etc. Ideally I need to be able to switch from testing to live with minimal fuss when the time comes.

I do it like this: I consider a component has 2 "parts", the declarative part (the visual sub-components) which I define in the skin (just mxml) and the code part (event handlers...) which I define in an action script class. I load the skin in the ctor of the action script class. I also define skin parts, states, and I bind event handlers in the partAdded function. I am having an argument about this; that I should define the component purely in an .mxml, with listeners in the script tag, and maybe attach a skin (but the skin should be loose - maybe for reuse :-?) I come from .NET and maybe I am biased with the code behind pattern, and I am wondering from your experience and Adobe's intent, what is the best practice to usually implement a visual component?

    Hello everybody! With Natty coming out soon, I've been at work updating my deployment and self-config script to make my desktop on 11.04 run and look the way I want it to. One bummer is that dbus seems to have changed and does not permit, in the same manner Lucid and Maverick did, the authentication of the current user by terminal call using grep and cat. Ideally, to run the script, I would sudo -s and then launch it as # chmod +x install && ./install Instead of returning my user name.. it now returns root and applies changes to the root profile and aborts whenever paths do not correspond.     i am running a small project that occasionally requires me to run a php socket script through ssh. it uses a few bytes of bandwidth (just some text) which activates my art installation project. i tried a simple web hosting plan but that didn't support sockets, so know i am using a 32$ vps plan on namecheap.com just to run a simple php script. i don't really need to host anything else on it. i find it kind of excessive for such a simple thing. is there a place i can run my script for a lower cost? any servers that support php sockets and ssh?

    Is there a debian/ubuntu policy on softlinking things to another location in opt once they're installed properly in usr/share or usr/lib? Here's a simple example: Packaging up dnsenum. It's a REALLY simple package (4 files). A perl script, two wordlists, and a readme. So from what I gather: The wordlists should go in usr/share/dnsenum/* The perl script itself would go in usr/lib/dnsenum/ The readme would go in usr/share/doc/dnsenum/ Add a wrapper bash script that goes in bin and just passes arguments to dnsenum.pl. The question is this: If there are various tools that provide wordlists or some other shared resource, is there a policy on linking all the wordlists from different packages in to /opt/wordlists/ ? It seems like the "right" thing to do respecting the directory structure while still making things convenient.

I was wondering what professional JS developers use to write and test their code: Do they use a good text editor with syntax high-lighting + autocompletion, hit F5 in the browser to reload the page every time they make a change, and use some add-on in the browser to investigate errors? Or are there full-fledged IDE's similar to MS VisualStudio for non-web languages?

Also I want it to print it out for every hour of the day. So like if the word dog appeared 4 times during the first hour of today, it says Hour one, dog 4.     I've been using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS for a while, am quite new, using the terminal, made a script to open a project of mine containing multiple files with gedit - after execution of the respective script - gedit [filename1] [filename2] ... , terminal executes it successfully, gedit opens passed files and terminal is ready for another line. Well, today I came across a strange issue - after the execution of the above mentioned script, gedit initiates successfully, but terminal denies execution of commands and echoes all keyboard events, even specific ctrl+... functions - all until gedit is closed. I can't figure what caused this as my recent activity was focused around a C project, not regarding the terminal in any way. I recall being able to execute another line after initiating e.g. open gedit and compile a project within a single tab and session of a terminal window. Any help would be appreciated! Regards!

  • Why are cookies unrecognized when a link is clicked from an external source (i.e. Excel, Word, etc..

    I noticed that when a link is clicked externally from the web browser, such as from Excel or Word, that my session cookie is initially unrecognized, even if the link opens up in a new tab of the same browser window. The browser ends up recognizing its cookie eventually, but I am puzzled as to why that initial link from Excel or Word doesn't work. To make it even more challenging, clicking a link works fine from Outlook. Does anybody know why this might be happening? I'm using the Zend Framework with PHP 5.3.

    In my previous blog posts, I have demonstrated a simple web app using ASP.NET MVC 3 and EF Code First. In this post, I will be focus on making this application for mobile devices. A single web site will be used for both mobile browsers and desktop browsers. If users are accessing the web app from mobile browsers, users will be redirect to mobile specific pages and will get normal pages if users are accessing from desktop browsers. In this demo app, the mobile specific pages are maintained in an ASP.NET MVC Area named Mobile and mobile users will be redirect to MVC Area Mobile. Let’s add a new area named Mobile to the ASP.NET MVC app. For adding Area, right click the ASP.NET MVC project and  select Area from Add option. Our mobile specific pages using jQuery Mobile will be maintained in the Mobile Area. ASP.NET MVC Global filter for redirecting mobile visitors to Mobile area Let’s add an ASP.NET MVC Global filter for redirecting mobile visitors to Mobile area. The below Global filter is taken from the sample app http://aspnetmobilesamples.codeplex.com/ created by the ASP.NET team. You can get a detailed browser support details from http://jquerymobile.com/gbs/ . In the Head section we have included the Core jQuery javascript file and jQuery Mobile Library and the core CSS Library for the UI Element Styling. These jQuery files are minified versions and will improve the performance of page load on Mobile Devices. If a user access the site from desktop browsers, users will get normal web pages and get mobile specific pages if users access from mobile browsers. If users are accessing the website from mobile devices, we will redirect to a ASP.NET MVC area Mobile. For redirecting to the Mobile area, we have used a Global filer for the redirection logic and used open source framework 51Degrees.mobi for the better support for mobile browser detection. In the Mobile area, we have created the pages using jQuery Mobile and users will get mobile friendly web pages. We can create great mobile web apps using ASP.NET MVC  and jQuery Mobile Framework.
