  • Is there a way to forward emails associated with a domain without a mail server?

    A client owns example1.com but wants to also purchase example2.com and have it point to their original site at example1.com. No problem there. But they also want any emails going to example2.com to be forwarded to their counter parts at example1.com Eg: if someone emails [email protected] it will be forwarded to [email protected] They only way I can think of doing this at the moment is to set up host for example2.com and then set up mail forwarders in cpanel. But this seems a bit excessive and costly. Does anyone know another, cheaper way of doing this?

  • How to split currently used partition on Ubuntu server?

    I would like to split a currently used partition that is mounted to /usr directory. I did this because / only had 1 gb of data allocated to it. Now, I did not account for the /home directory when I made this partition (or I would have made two partitions). So I have 14 gb mounted to usr/ with 12 gb free. Is there a way I can reclaim the free space on this partition to make another partition to mount to /home? Here is the result of a df -h: I have tried to split the /dev/mmcblk1p4 into 2 different partitions but I was not able to save the partition table correctly.

    I have a Classic ASP page that creates a CDO.Message object to send email. The code works on Window Server 2003 but not 2008. On 2008 an "Access is denied" error gets thrown.     Hi! Silverstripe is running on my since a few weeks. Recently, I get an Internal Server Error message when I try to access the admin area. Having a look in the server's error logs, I discovered following hint: [Mon Apr 05 12:15:26 2010] [error] [client ...] Premature end of script headers: main.php I already was refered to this site: What does the 'premature end of script headers' error mean? But does anybody had this problem in connection with Silverstripe? Would make it much easier to restrict the scope from where the error is caused. Regards, Benedikt

Under logs folder, in my machine it is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log, there are three kinds of files, ERRORLOG, ERRORLOG.1, ERRORLOG.2 ... ERRORLOG.6; FDLAUNCHERRORLOG, FDLAUNCHERRORLOG.1, FDLAUNCHERRORLOG.2, ... FDLAUNCHERRORLOG.6; log_207.trc, log_208.trc, ... My question is what are the differnet function of such log files? And why there are files ends with .1, .2, etc? thanks in advance, George

  • Slow Update/insert into SQL Server CE using LinqToDatasets

    I have a mobile app that is using LinqToDatasets to update/insert into a SQL Server CE 3.5 File. My Code looks like this: // All the MyClass Updates MyTableAdapter myTableAdapter = new MyTableAdapter(); foreach (MyClassToInsert myClass in updates.MyClassChanges) { // Update the row if it is already there int result = myTableAdapter.Update(myClass.FirstColumn, myClass.SecondColumn, myClass.FirstColumn); // If the row was not there then insert it. if (result == 0) { myTableAdapter.Insert(myClass.FirstColumn, myClass.SecondColumn); } } This code is used to keep the hand held database in sync with the server database. Problem is if it is a full update (first time for example) there are a lot of updates (about 125). That makes this code (and more loops like it take a very long time (I have three such loops that take over 30 seconds each). Is there a faster or better way to do updates/inserts like this? (I did see this Codeplex Project, but I could not see how to make it work with both updates and inserts.)
