  I am looking to make a program that accomplishes some simple goals. I need to be able to specify an area of my screen to have reproduced in a window. Similar to who the windows magnifier works. I also need it to stay on top. I also need it to be transparent. I also need it to be ghost like(mouse clicks go through it) so the application below can be interacted with still. • What should I do with my programming project?

  I've been working on a top secret project that has potential of becoming very popular. No one has done anything like it. The problem is I have no motivation to finish it, and its about 70% done. I also don't have the ability to sell & market the product. The documentation is a pain to write. I just want to finish the project , receive my reward and move on to other things. I know that if I were to release it as a product I'm going to have to do support, and do bug fixes. No thank you! I've thought of making it open source but I'm failing to see the benefits. My hard work is just going to be up for grabs isn't it? How can I abandon my project whilst getting rewarded for the work I've done so far?

The problem is that I have created projects in .NET 3.5 without realizing it, then at some point, when something doesnt work as expected, if Im lucky I discover the mistake.   This question already has an answer here: Is there a simple way to stop enemies standing in the same spot? 8 answers i am making a top down game which lots of enemies are chasing one guy. then,enemies would move to one point without any collision,they just overlay each other. so ,is there any simple way to make them feel more real? make them not overlay with each other? ================================= i have tried the solution using boundbox to check collision, but i still very puzzled about what to do with the collision. i have a bad solution.it doesn't work well. my solution in simple: foreach(around_enemy_arr in other) { vector a = normalize(self.positionvector - other.positionvector); self.move_vector = self.move_vector + a; } this can work,but when plenty of enemies come very close to each other,they would shake. i am sooooo confused. please help.

• permanently disable bluetooth

  I simply don't use bluetooth. Since it can be a security risk and also drains the battery I would like to keep it deactivated. I quickly found the option to turn it off in the settings menu, but the problem is: it doesn't stay dead! Everytime I pull my Nexus 4 out of standby mode bluetooth reappears in the top bar as if I never deactivated it. How can I deactivate it so it stays deactivated or better yet how can I remove it from my phone entirely? I tried sudo apt-get remove bluez bluetooth, but I am not allowed to edit this package.

• What is causing Unity to be slow on startup?

  A few days ago I noticed that after I login in, the top panel and the dash took a bit more time to load and I noticed more disc activity than usual. I thought that it might have been caused by some update or by the installation of pdftk. So I removed pdftk but the "problem" persists. Is there a way to know what is using the disc (read/write operations) on startup? If it were at a later time, I would use iotop but I can only launch iotop after I get control of the desktop. I'm on Ubuntu 12.10 amd64.

• Ubuntu 12.10 - launcher stays hidden

  Just upgraded to 12.10 today. Everything seems fine for now, aprat from one thing: The launcher on the left side of the screen doesn't come up after moving the cursor to the left side of the screen. It IS there since it show the app start animation and I can have it on top all the time, but I'm really fond of it being hidden most of the time. I did check the sensitivity settings and even set it up to MAX (thus high) and it changes nothing. Please help ;) Cheers
