  • MSVC++ 6.0: Fatal error C1509 "Too many exception handler states in function"

    I'm working on a project that uses a lot of generated files for a GUI. After some recent updates, I get this error. If I remove some controls (the new ones or some old ones, doesn't seem to matter which), the error goes away. I've temporarily worked around the problem, but I'd like a more permanent solution. I've seen mentioned on the web that there's a fix for this in VS.Net 2003, but I can't find anything for 6.0. Does anyone know of a hotfix or service pack that fixes this?

  • Windows Installer (C#) error code 2869

    I have a project, in VS 2005, which has a console application and a setup project associated to install the application. I also have an installer class in the console application that the setup project will use to do some validation before installation. Those tasks are checking the database connection string and checking some directory locations to make sure they exist prior to installation. I am getting an error code of 2869 when I try to install the application. All the code is written in C#. I have googled for this error code on Windows XP, but only found articles that deal with Vista and Windows 7. Any ideas what might be happening? Is there a workaround?

    If you assign an invalid date (like December 39th) to a datetime column ActiveRecord returns a "can't be blank" error when is should probably return an error like "Not a valid date" My question. Is this expected rails behavior, a bug or, something that I could patch? class ExerciseLog < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of :scheduled_datetime end Fire up the console. e = Log.new # lets set a date for Dec 39th which obviously doesn't exist e.scheduled_datetime = "2010-12-39" e.save => false # this is the confusing message since our form did post a valid date e.errors.on(:scheduled_datetime) => "can't be blank" e.scheduled_datetime = "2010-12-30" e.save => true I discovered this issue when I accidentally transposed the month and day values. btw This is in Rails 2.3.5

  • Permissions error for a signed Java applet when including external JAR files

    I have a signed Java applet. And it works fine. But now I have to integrate some 3rd party JAR files with it. When I test it from Eclipse, the whole thing works correctly. But when I test it as an applet, it gives me a FilePermission error. I thought this was because those 3rd party JAR files don't have a java.policy.applet within them. But manually adding the policy file doesn't get rid of the error. What am I missing? Thanks! ============================ All the 3rd party JAR files sit on the server filesystem like so: A.jar, B.jar, C.jar. And I include them in the applet tag like so: <applet archive="my.jar,A.jar,B.jar,C.jar"> </applet> Also, in the MANIFEST/MANIFEST.MF file in my.jar, I include those JAR files like so: Class-Path: A.jar,B.jar,C.jar

    We have a Asp.Net Webform page which contains a GridView inside UpdatePanel and refreshes every minute. And every one minute we get the following error in Event log. Error Message:Unable to validate data.     I've been trying hard to solve this problem but i really don't know what is happening. I have this small piece of code : DiscoveredLocation.find_by_user_id(user.id, :include => [:boss_kills]) The models are : DiscoveredLocation(id, user_id, boss_location_id) BossKill(user_id, monster_id) and associations : Monster belongs_to :boss_location Monster has_many :boss_kills BossKill belongs_to :user BossKill belongs_to :monster DiscoveredLocation belongs_to :user DiscoveredLocation belongs_to :boss_location DiscoveredLocation has_many :monsters, :through => :boss_location DiscoveredLocation has_many :boss_kills, :through => :monsters When i executed the find_by i get this error : NoMethodError in BossesController#index You have a nil object when you didn't expect it! You might have expected an instance of Array. The error occurred while evaluating nil.each If i change the include option to any other model, like :monster, it works great. I'm pretty much owned by this problem :P. Maybe somebody can help me ? :)

    When an ajax request fails, the JQuery UI Tabs widget stops responding and the "Loading..." spinner remains on the tab that caused the error. I can get the ajax callback to give me some sort of alert message like so: $('#localtabs > ul').tabs({ ajaxOptions: { success: tabLoadSuccessCallback, error: tabLoadFailureCallback} }); function tabLoadSuccessCallback(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert("Yay!");} function tabLoadFailureCallback(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert("Could not get search results.");} But what I'd really like is to be able to display a message within the panel, cancel the spinner, and disable the tab that caused the problem while leaving the rest of the tabs operational. Does anyone have any ideas for how to do this?

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 523800 bytes) in /Library/WebServer/Documents/XMLDataStore.class.php on line 981 The curious thing about this error is not the memory leak, which would be easy enough to troubleshoot. Rather, it is the fact that XMLDataStore.class.php is only 850 lines long, which I have verified in multiple text editors. This is with the PHP 5.3 bundled with Snow Leopard. I'm not using an opcode cache. Here is my php.ini: allow_url_fopen = Off error_reporting = -1 display_errors = 1 display_startup_errors = 1 date.timezone = 'America/Los_Angeles' output_buffering = Off realpath_cache_size = 0k XMLDataStore.class.php has recently been refactored and it used to be longer than 981 lines. It's almost as if PHP has cached a 2-week-old version and is reading that. I'm positive that the current version at /Library/WebServer/Documents/XMLDataStore.class.php is only 850 lines long, though.

    I have a website called e-waitress.net, it is a jobs employment website for the restaurant industry. I installed an open source program called OpenClassifieds and a couple days after installing the OpenClassifieds, I get an error message when I enter my url that is this: ErrorException [ 2048 ]: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are required to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/New_York' for 'EDT/-4.0/DST' instead ~ APPPATH/ko322/classes/kohana/date.php [ 592 ] I am wondering is this a server issue with my host provider or is it within the OpenClassifieds installation software? I've reinstalled the software twice and it's returned this error after a couple days of working great. Any ideas?

Except when I have a group of checkboxes...the error messages will display right after the first checkbox...like so: <tbody> <c:forEach items="${list}" var="item"> <tr> <td align="center"> <input type="checkbox" name="selectItems" value="<c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/>" /> </td> <!--some other columns--> </tr> </c:forEach> </tbody> I found that I can use a wrapper for these checkboxes ,then place the error message there, but I have no idea how to do it since I'm creating the rows dynamically. Hope you can help me out.

    In my database I have three tables: Users: UserID (Auto Numbering), UserName, UserPassword and a few other unimportant fields. PrivateMessages: MessageID (Auto Numbering), SenderID and a few other fields defining the message content. MessageStatus: MessageID, ReceiverID, MessageWasRead (Boolean) What I need is a query to which I input a user's id and I get all the private messages he has received. In addition, I also need to receive each message's sender UserName. For this I wrote the following query: SELECT Users.*, PrivateMessages.*, MessageStatus.* FROM PrivateMessages INNER JOIN Users ON PrivateMessages.SenderID = Users.UserID INNER JOIN MessageStatus ON PrivateMessages.MessageID = MessageStatus.MessageID WHERE MessageStatus.ReceiverID=[@userid]; But for some reason when I try saving it in my Access database, I get the following error (translated to English by me, since my office is in a different language): Syntax error (missing operator) at expression: "PrivateMessages.SenderID = Users.UserID INNER JOIN MessageStatus ON PrivateMessages.MessageID = MessageStatus.MessageI".     I've been working through the tutorial for the past few days, and finally hit a snag in chapter 7. It is in this step where the line in routes.rb: get "users/new" is replaced with resource :users After I do this, I get a routing error when visiting http://localhost:3000/users/1 - No route matches [GET] "/users/1" instead of the other "Unknown Action" error shown here.     I have installed IIS in my system (WINDOWS-XP). While i am seeing IIS window, the Default web site is in stop mode. when i am ready to start IIS. It shows "Unexpected error 0x8ffe2740 occurred" Finally, I discovered that its caused by Skype. It listens to port 80 for incoming call. Now, most of the time IIS starts before Skype starts. So IIS works but if you restart IIS or try to start IIS after Skype is started then you will get this error message. For this, I changed my Skype settings Skype File-> Options -> Connection Uncheck Use Port 80 as an alternative for incoming connections. But even though i am unable to start my IIS. Please help me some one.. Thanks.

    DatabaseError at /admin/delmarva/event/ no such column: delmarva_event.eventdate I created a class in my models.py file: from django.db import models from django.contrib.auth.models import User class Event(models.Model): eventname = models.CharField(max_length = 100) eventdate = models.DateField() eventtime = models.TimeField() address = models.CharField(max_length = 200) user = models.ForeignKey(User) def __unicode__(self): return self.eventname and now when i try to view my events in my admin or my main_page it gives me the error that there is no eventdate. I tried syncing the db again but nothing changed. Also, I hashtagged eventdate out to see if I get a different error and then it states that delmarva_event.eventtime does not exist as well. I It is weird because it does not have a problem with eventname. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • I get "stack level too deep" error when using a named scope

    I'm using ruby on rails 2.3.8 and when I write the syntax shown below I get the "stack level too deep" error message. The model is called Announcement and the line of the error looks like this: Tag.find(category_id).announcements.published Where published is named_scope :published, :conditions => "announcements.state = 'published'" I use this named scope in many other places and it works fine. What am I doing wrong? (the relationship between Tag and Announcement model is ok because if I remove the ".published" method from that line it works just fine).
