  • VB.NET Folder location

    Hello, My program uses some external programs that i included in the Files folder. In my code im reffering to Files/external_program.exe Windows Vista & Windows 7 knows how to handle this and starts the program on the same location as my program in the Files folder. But Xp doesnt know where it is, and Windows XP will think im reffering to the C:\Files folder. So im getting an error and the app crashes. How can i fix this? so windows xp will know that i'm reffering to the Files folder on the same location as my program.

  • Run another version of Python using virtualenv

    I apologize in advance if the question is dummy ,i use Python 3.2.3 on Windows xp ,now i need Python3.3.2 , but i can't remove Python 3.2.3 because i have many codes and packages need to be run by it. I installed virtualenv to run two versions of Python in two different environments , but after that i didn't know what to do to run a code using Python 3.3.2 , here what i did: C:\>virtualenv.exe env1 C:\>env1\Scripts\activate now i don't know what to do after a folder was created its name env1 , i downloaded Python 3.3.2 and installed it in the same folder (env1) , is that correct ? then i try the following: (env1) C:\>python3.3.2 I got the following : 'python3.3.2' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. also i tried : (env1) C:\>python python33 I got the following: python: can't open file 'python33': [Errno 2] No such file or directory As i mentioned , i stuck at this point , any help will be very appreciated.     I'm building up my site over at http://royronalds.com, and I'm trying to figure out what order of elements in the <head> makes most sense. Just to take from what I current have, I have: <head> <style> external stylesheet <meta> <title> <link> to favicon <script> for jQuery <script> main javascript for site <script> google analytics, asynchronous script. </head> Are there reasons to order these differently so that load times and other issues happen more smoothly, and if so, what would the ideal order be?

  • CSS problems with our eBay custom HTML template

    we are building a template for our eBay listings. eBay allows users to upload a description as HTML code and allows that code to link your external CSS files. eBay displays the user's HTML code in an iframe, it looks like eBay calculates the height of your page on load and then and resizes the iframe according to that height. Here is a link to one of our test listings in eBay's sandbox environment: http://cgi.sandbox.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110097353751&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123#ht_692wt_1136 In Chrome / Firefox there's a second scroll bar next to the listing. In IE, the listings just covers eBay's footer which is even worse I solved this issue once using CSS and i can't remember how. I would really appreciate any help.     I'm using JetBrains PhpStorm, which is probably the most epic IDE I've ever used. The question is simple. How do I add Compass syntax support to it? I've got it installed, it renders and works, but PhpStorm still complains about undefined imports and mixins. How can I resolve this? Can Compass be included as an external library? Edit: I'd just like to note that this feature request is for the RubyMine IDE (also by JetBrains), it's not for PhpStorm/WebStorm.

  • How to properly use .SWC packages in Flash CS 4

    Hi! I've googled a lot trying to find how to properly import and use .swc files in Flash CS 4, tried lots of different methods but none seem to work. What I've done is: 1. Placed it in my "D:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS4\en\Configuration\Components" folder. It does however not show up in the component inspector. 2. Added it in Publishing Settings as a Library and External Library, still can't seem to use it. I've also tried adding "import org.osflash.signals;" after each method but I receive the error "1172: Definition org.osflash:signals could not be found." So what I'm asking for is an easy way to get the .swc package working code-wise with all classes imported etc. The .swc file is as you may have guessed as3signals. Thanks in advance.

    Hi guys, I've just got the new Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and Javascript Intellisense is not working on .aspx/.ascx files inside blocks. It does work on external .js files. After VS2010 setup, it asked me if I wanted to import the settings from previous VS version (I have VS2008 SP1 installed), I say yes. I've tried resetting the settings like explained here. Didn't work. I've also installed Resharper 5. I thought it might be conflicting, so I tried suspending it like it says here. Didn't work. Anyone experiencing the same issue? I really want javascript/jQuery intellisense =(

    I have an actionscript function that loads an external swf and is currently linked to a button in the same swf... function btnClick(event:MouseEvent):void{ SoundMixer.stopAll(); removeChild(loader); loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onSWFLoaded); loader.load(movieSWF) loader.x=Xpos loader.y=Ypos addChild(loader) } button.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,btnClick); I'm wondering if there is a way to call this function from a link on the page that the swf is housed on. I'm guessing javascript, php or swfaddress would be the most likely way, but I'm unbelievably new to all this so I'm not sure where to start or how to go about it. Any help would be appreciated.

    I am wanting to query the members of a given playlist. I have the correct playlist id, and want to use a managedQuery() to look at the playlist members in question. What I have is this: private String [] columns = { MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.Members.PLAYLIST_ID, MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.Members.TITLE, }; Uri membersUri = MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.Members.getContentUri(volume, playlistId); Cursor tCursor = managedQuery(membersUri, columns, null, null, null); I don't know what the volume argument needs to be. I've tried this: MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI.toString() for the "volume" argument. That gives me back a valid content URI that looks like: content://media/external/audio/playlists/2/members However, my cursor comes back null. I probably am way off base -- I know what I want to do is very simple.

  • Flash AS3: crop TextField content off at X lines, add '...' at the end

    There's only room for three lines of text in the interface, but the content is external and variable, and if it ends up taking up more than three lines, there needs to be some sort of 'view all' button functionality. I can kind of think about what that function needs to look like, but I'm not quite sure what the best way to do it in AS3 would be. Something like (in pseudo code): function cropText(source:TextField, length:int, append:String):TextField{ if(source.lineCount > length){ source.text = // magic function that retuns the first length lines, // minus append.length characters, with the append value tacked onto the end } return source; } ... right? How would you fill in the missing bit?

The css file is bundled with the extension, so I can access it using a chrome url chrome://extensionid/content/skin/style.css I'm trying to inject css like this when the page is loaded: var fileref = document.createElement("link"); fileref.setAttribute("rel", "stylesheet"); fileref.setAttribute("type", "text/css"); fileref.setAttribute("href", "chrome://extensionid/content/skin/style.css"); document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0].appendChild(fileref); However, the css isn't loaded and Firebug shows 'Filtered chrome url' message instead of the file content, when I inspect the link element I created. If I try to load this css file from an external server, everything's fine. Is there are way to load a css file bundled with the extension?

  • geo-indexing: efficiently calculating proximity based on latitude/longitude

    My simple web app (WSGI, Python) supports text queries to find items in the database. Now I'd like to extend this to allow for queries like "find all items within 1 mile of {lat,long}". Of course that's a complex job if efficiency is a concern, so I'm thinking of a dedicated external module that does indexing for geo-coordinates - sort of like Lucene would for text. I assume a generic component like this already exists, but haven't been able to find anything so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Full page reload on Post/Redirect/Get ignoring cache control

    I have a page that loads a lot of images, css and javascript. I've added a far future Expires header and set Cache-Control to public on these external dependencies so they should be cached. But every time I do a Post/Redirect/Get chrome tries to load these again. This behavior is very similar to reloading the page. I've added ETags and handle the If-None-Match header which helps a bit, but it still generates too many useless requests.     I am using an external library for Artificial Neural Networks in my project.. While testing the ANN, It gave me output of all NaN (not a number in C#) The ANN has 8 input , 5 hidden , 5 hidden , 2 output, and all activation layers are of Linear type , and it uses back-propagation, with learning rate 0.65 I used one testcase for training { -2.2, 1.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.1, 5, 3, -5 } ,{ -0.3, 0.2 } for 1000 epoch And I tested it on { 0.2, -0.2, 5.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0, 35, 0.0 } which gave { NaN , NaN} Note: this is one example of many that produces same case... I am trying to discover whether it is a bug in the library, or an illogical configuration.. The reasons I could think of for illogical configuration: All layers should not be linear Can not have descending size layers, i.e 8-5-5-2 is bad.. Only one testcase ? Values must be in range [0,1] or [-1,1] Is any of the above reasons could be the cause of error, or there are some constraints/rules that I do not know in ANN designing..? Note: I am newbie in ANN

  • Can I use XText for a DSL involving an XML file type?

    I have defined a small DSL that is mostly written in the form of different types of XML files in conjuction with some property files. This works very well but I wish to create an Eclipse Editor to make editing these files easier for beginners (I already have a working parser). The main XML file can reference some items from the .properties files and vice-versa. THe main xml file can also reference other XML files. Certain options should only be available in the main xml file based on the contents of the .properties files and based on some osgi plugins that can be added to the DSL project (the syntax is dynamic depending on context). The structure of the language is fixed but the options available in each attribute or the choice of attributes themselves changes depending on metadata contained in plugin .jar files. Questions: Does XText support dynamic syntax (validation changes depending on external factors)? Does XText support XML files / .properties files? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

    Hi, I've got an application developed on top of DokuWiki. I'd like to provide a 'News' page providing the latest updates from the internal RSS feed, some other feeds maintained in Serendipity and potentially other locations. Although its trivial to attach feed parsers to each one individually, I'd like to aggregate this into a single list (possibly a single RSS feed). Both the DokuWiki and Serendipity servers are not connected to the internet - so I can't use an external service for this - looking for code. Anybody got any ideas? TIA C.

    Isn't that nicely recursive? I've got a portable command prompt on my external drive, and it has a nice .bat file to configure some initial settings, but I'd like more! Here's what I know how to set from .bat: Colors = (color XY) where x and y are hex digits for the predefined colors Prompt = (prompt $p$g) sets the prompt to "C:\etc\etc " the default prompt Title = (title "text") sets the window title to "text" Screen Size = (mode con: cols=XX lines=YY) sets the columns and lines size of the window Path = (SET PATH=%~d0\bin;%PATH%) sets up local path to my tools and appends the computer's path So that's all great. But there are a few settings I can't seem to set from the bat. Like, how would I set these up wihtout using the Properties dialogue: Buffer = not screen size, but the buffer Options like quick edit mode and autocomplete Popup colors Font.     Hi guys, I'm trying to install feedzirra. When i install curb on my netbeans i get following errors. Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing curb-0.7.6.gem: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.   • Svn - get the list of all repos on a server so I can svnsync

    I'm attempting to create a backup of my client's existing svn repositories, which is publicly available over http. If possible, I'd like to be able to make new repositories automatically, from any computer, without having to give console access to the server to external parties (i.e. the users could do a ls on my svn repo dir) My problem is that I need to know the list of svn repositories on the server - it isn't a fixed list, since the user will add new repositories over time. I'm able to list the repositories on an html page via Apache's mod_dav_svn module, using the SVNListParentPath On directive. I got this page: http://svn.ohwr.org/ My question is: what is the easiest way to obtain a usable list of such repositories? I'll need to parse that list in order to make syncs, probably using shell commands. Must I parse the HTML with shell commands, or is there a better way to get that list?

  • Automated fake mailbox

    Hello, i'm about to start the development of a new automated-email application. The idea is that customers (or other external users) send emails to a mailbox and then an automated process will read them, extract their information and insert it into some database. It's a requirement that the emails have an standard format in order to be parsed (standard subject, etc.). The obvious thing to do would be to set up a process that periodically pools an ordinary mailbox, through pop-3 for example, processing the messages it finds. However, it would be for me much nicer to be able to process the emails as they arrive. I was wondering then, is there any way to set up a process that acts as a fake email-box? do you know about any open-source implementation of something like that I can extend?     Hi, I am trying to use an Entity Framework Model (in separate project) into an asp.net 4 MVC project (VS2010, C#) If I create the EF inside the MVC project I have no problems. I think I am missing some step. things done: 1. added reference to the EF class project 2. added connection string in MVC web.config 3. added reference to System.Data.Entity in both web.config and project references Now i can use the model only if I copy the .edmx file to the Models folder, but in this way the EF project is not external anymore. What am I missing? Thank you in advance.

  • Looking for an automated logging tool/library for .NET!

    Hello, I'm looking for an library/tool for .NET that logs almost everything that happens in my C# application (Windows Form). The problem is that I'm delivering an application to a client (Windows XP) and after doing some task, that classic Microsoft error window appears: "ApplicationName has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" I'm currently handling my application exceptions, but this is something external and I can't get anything from that error, so I would like any automated library that helps me with that. It would work if it logs each line of code executed, orr just log what line was executing before that error appeared, or something that could give me more info about that error. Thank you! P.S: It's a multithreaded application, and have to Timer controls (one for watching a folder every 5secs, and another for watching thread list...). I'm using Windows 7 here and everything seems to work ok.
