  Hi, I'm working on a database program and I noticed that when I'm doing queries with tables that have TEXT/BLOB columns, MySQL will use temp tables and use filesort. I'm not entirely sure when and how this happens, but are there cases where MySQL does not use filesort when there are BLOB/TEXT columns? Like if the sort column is type of VARCHAR() with an index?

  I'm working on sending out an html based email, and every time it sends the image src tags and some of the anchor href tags are modified to be relative url's. Update 2: This is happening between when the body of the email is generated and sent and when it arrives in my inbox. Update: I am using Postfix on a LAMPP server. In addition, I am using Zend_Mail to send the emails out. • LookAhead Regex in .Net - unexpected result

  Hello, I am a bit puzzled with my Regex results (and still trying to get my head around the syntax). I have been using http://regexpal.com/ to test out my expression, and its works as intended there, however in C# its not as expected. Here is a test - an expression of the following: (?=<open>).*?(?=</open>) on an input string of: <open>Text 1 </open>Text 2 <open>Text 3 </open>Text 4 <open>Text 5 </open> I would expect a result back of <open>Text1 <open>Text 2 <open>Text 3... etc However when I do this in C# it only returns the first match of <open>Text1 How do I get all five 'results' back from the Regex? • Javascript not able to read data generated by ajax script

And another script is meant to filter the table column by providing a dropdown comprising of unique values in that particular column.   Hey! Basically I have a problem in that when certain parameters are used in my calculator app - it makes the result incorrect. The issue is that I have separate text fields for hours and minutes and say for example I have as the start time "13" in one text field and "30" in the other with the finish time "24" and "00" in their respective text fields. The answer should be 10 hours 30 minutes, but the answer I get is 11 hours 30 minutes. The third dropdown is also depended on second one and so on.   I have a certain text in Java, and I want to use pattern and matcher to extract something from it. However, when my text looks like this: String text = "My name\nis John\nand I'm\n18 years\nold"; getItemsByType(text, "My", "John"); It doesn't grab anything, since "My" and "John" are on different lines. How do I solve this?

  Just as a practice, I am working on an app that solves the famous middle school pythagorean theorem, a squared + b squared = c squared. Unfortunately, the out-coming answer has, in my eyes, nothing to do with the actual answer. • Problem with UITextView

  I have a strange problem with trying to pass a string from one viewcontroller to another view controller if the string originates from a UITextview instead of UITextfield. Both UITextview.text and UITextfield.text are of type NSString. The following code takes either Textfield.text or Textview.text depending on the fieldType and puts it into a string called aString. NSString *aString = [[NSString alloc] init]; if (fieldType == 3) { aString = textView.text; } else { aString = textField.text; } When I examine aString on either cases, I can see that it has successfully assigned the text into aString. I then pass the string to the other view controller using this code. • Firefox adding padding to first image in multiple images, although all images have same styling and size.

When a user clicks on add button, a new row (cell) with five column (text boxe) is added in a table view controller with null values. • How SQLite on Android handles long strings?

  I'm wondering how Android's implementation of SQLite handles long Strings. Reading from online documentation on sqlite, it said that strings in sqlite are limited to 1 million characters. My strings are definitely smaller. I'm creating a simple RSS application, and after parsing a html document, and extracting text, I'm having problem saving it to a database. I have 2 tables in database, feeds and articles. RSS feeds are correctly saved and retrieved from feeds table, but when saving to the articles table, logcat is saying that it cannot save extracted text to it's column. I don't know if other columns are making problems too, no mention of them in logcat. I'm wondering, since text is from an article on web, are signs like (",',;) creating problems? Is Android automaticaly escaping them, or I have to do that.
