    I'm just wondering if it would be possible (and legal) to port an Android app to desktop? I'm creating an android game that would work well on PC too (even with the cellphone like layout) and was thinking that maybe I could 'embed' an android emulator with an installer or would that process be a bit hard for a novice Java coder?

  • How to set the size of multiple buttons on content

    I am using three buttons along with the list view.These three buttons are added to the layout using the TableLayout and TableRow.The first button takes more space on content, so the other two becomes smaller in size than first one. When the application runs, it doesn't even show the two other buttons. How can I make the size of three buttons equal and display all of them when application runs?Give me some example please.     Hi, I'm creating an Eclipse plug-in which amongst other things creates a new perspective. I want to I execute some code when the perspective loads. Previously I was doing this through createInitialLayout of IPerspectiveFactory but then I realized that this is for defining the page layout only and is usually called when when launching the perspective for the first time only.   • How to make area outside of custom dialog view unclickable?

    I created a custom dialog (no, this is not dialog object) from an image and some other views. The conflict I am having with this custom dialog (again, this is a layout) is that the area around it closes the custom dialog. Is there a way I can make the outside area unclickable? I have tried wrapping the dialog view with a fullscreen frameLayout w/ transparent background, and then programmatically I set the frame attribute to setClickable(false). framelayout.setClickable(false); This does nothing. It still closes the dialog. Any other suggestions? Thank you in advance.     Hi I'd like to programatically increase the height allocated to a TextView, and have the activity layout redrawn accordingly (the text view has a maximum height until the user clicks it, then it takes up all height required, wrap_content). setHeight() isn't working, even coupled with invalidate() or postInvalidate(). I am able to change the contents of the TextBox with setText() but it isn't altering the existing specified height. Android 1.5 under the 1.6 SDK.

    I've used this tutorial to highlight the current page in the menu. I have a pages controller with a few static pages, for the home page I simply have def home @title = 'Home and similar for contact pages etc. Then in my main layout file I have <body class="<%= @title %>"> and this works fine to set the correct css, but how do I set @title for my other controllers where there's more than one action?

    I've have a virtual machine with a VHD image that I've copied from Windows 7 to the Hyper-V server. This image was created on Windows 7 (Windows 7 64-bit), and I'm using it on Windows 7 as boot image. Starting this virtual machine with the Hyper-V Manager gives this error: "Boot failure. Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device." What do I need to do to boot from this vhd in Hyper-V?

    On Windows 7, dir or tree can't show unicode characters, even starting cmd with cmd /U So I would press Window Key + R to run something, and type in cmd /U so that the content might handle Unicode. And then using dir or tree /F, the content in Unicode won't show as Unicode. (in Window Explorer (file manager), the Unicode will show) Is there a way to handle it? To get Unicode characters to test your filenames, you can go to http://news.google.com/news?edchanged=1&ned=tw and you will be able to get many Unicode characters there (UTF-8)

  • Windows 7 XP mode missing driver virtual pc integration device

    I have XP Mode installed fine, but the shipped Windows XP installation is too heavy. I tried to install a light XP using my ASUS Eee PC. After installation, I have to install a few missing drivers and everything worked OK except I can't copy and paste between host and guest operating system. I checked Device Manager and found the Virtual PC Integration Device is not installed correctly. I can't find any driver for that. How can I fix this problem?
