    How to make VLC play .vlm config file in "With no interface mode" on windows? So I have .vlm config file that should stream audio from mic to localhost so no vlc ui needed. If I say to windows "play .vlm file with vlc" it plays correctly starts server where I need and streams data. but how to do such thing manulay from cmd (so we suppouse we can call vlc.exe by vlc and we are now in folder with vlc.exe and vlcConfig.vlm file)

I have a TextField (called Name), a Combobox (called Division) and a DataGrid (called dataGrid1). But, I still see that code line returns "testParam". What's the problem? How could I access the map returned by getParameterValues()?     In my UI project, I have few screens that share the same header style only the text is specific to the screens. What will be a good way to implement this? Have the super class create all the header component and open the components to the sub class, the sub class will access to component's setText method to update the text? or Have abstract method in super class to create the components, sub class will implement these methods to create the component.   • Is it possible to produce a small preview or thumbnail image of a Crystal report in code?

    I'm using Crystal to display the reports in my project, and I'd like to be able to display a small preview or thumbnail image of the report to the user when he or she is picking a report to display from my UI. Is there any way to produce these thumbnails dynamically from code? The user has the option to add or remove reports by adding or removing them from the reports folder, so just making all the thumbnail images by hand isn't really an option.

However this is still in Preview 2 and hasn't been updated since March 2009. Is this project dead in the water? If so, what alternatives do we have for creating .NET-based REST services? (Some are suggesting using ASP.NET MVC, which we're already using for our UI layer)

  • How to pass non-fatal warnings from a library

    A library function parses a file and returns an object. If a parser encounters unknown data, missing values etc., it shouldn't throw an exception and stop parsing (because this is not fatal), but there should be a way to pass information about these things to a caller (so that warnings can be displayed in the UI, for example). How can these warning be returned? I'm thinking of passing a callback function/object into the library, are there any other possible solutions?
