  Hi I am searching for a console-app (where I can pipe the output to a txt-file) which gives me a list of all current processes and the files which each process has open. The tool should also work when the user doesn't has administrativ-privilegues and it should also give file-path which are located on the network (UNC and absolute/mappings). Is there something like this which I can call from another tool and get the information? I am on a windows system. I have a open filename and need now to get the whole path for the file

  I want to access my .wav files which are in a package inside my project. For example I got two packages: package program package sounds From inside the program/something.class I'd like to play the sounds/asound.wav. How is this possible. clip.open(AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(new File(filename))); clip.start(); //.... something inbetween clip.stop(); Here filename is C:\\projects\\something\\sounds\\, but how is it possible to just give a relative path to the asound.wav in the package?

• Visual Studio 2008 Unresponsive When Opening JavaScript Files

  I'm starting a new ASP.NET project that I'm trying to use some jQuery with, but whenever I try to open .js file (blank or containing a few lines of javascript) in Visual Studio, it often hangs; showing the .js filename in a new tab, but the actual text editor window showing whatever was drawn to the screen before opening the .js file. Eventually, after closing and re-opening, it will open in the text editor, but the font is always something like 10pt Arial. Even after changing this in VS options, the next re-launch of Visual Studio yields the same results. Has anyone else experienced hang, unresponsiveness, wonkiness from Visual Studio with JavaScript files?

• Move/copy files/folder in linux/solaris using only bash built-ins

  There was a situation when somebody moved the whole rootdir into a subdir on a remote system, thus all the system tools like cp, mv, etc didn't work anymore. We had an active session though but couldn't find a way to copy/move the files back using only bash built-ins. Do somebody know of a way to achieve this? I even thought about copy the cp or mv binary in the currentdir with while read -r; do echo $LINE; done and then redirect this to a file, but it didn't work. Guess because of all the special non printable chars in a binary file that can't be copied/displayed using echo. thanks.

  I'm building a WSS site which has to show SVG files stored on WSS. I'm trying to use <object> tag to show it and it doesn't show, however, if I use <embed> it works ok. Im'using IE8 and IE7 I've been reading and everyone tells IE prefers <Object> over <embed>, but in WSS it doesn't work this way. To display the file I'm using a web content editor webpart with this code: <object type="image/svg+xml" data="/samples/sample.svg" name="owMain" width="400" height="150"> </object> Any clue??

• Concatenate text files with Windows command line, dropping leading lines

  I need to concatenate some relatively large text files, and would prefer to do this via the command line. Unfortunately I only have Windows, and cannot install new software. type file1.txt file2.txt > out.txt allows me to almost get what I want, but I don't want the 1st line of file2.txt to be included in out.txt. I have noticed that more has the +n option to specify a starting line, but I haven't managed to combine these to get the result I want. I'm aware that this may not be possible in Windows, and I can always edit out.txt by hand to get rid of the line, but is there a simple way of doing it from the command line?

I've got the window into the state I want, but whatever I try can't access the list of files to repeat over.   Hi, We are looking at starting a new Silverlight project using the PRISM framework (to benefit from modules etc) and I am still a little unclear about the best styling approach. What I'd ideally like is to have editable XAML files (maybe even just 1 for the whole project) containing the application's style so that they can be edited to change the look and feel of the application without having to recompile everything. Is this approach something people use? I guess it would need to load the file in at startup and apply the style which I assume wouldn't be a massive overhead.   Hi All, I want to write a Scala script to recursively process all files in a directory. For each file I'd like to see if there are any cases where a string occurs at line X and line X - 2. If a case like that occurs I'd like to stop processing that file, and add that filename to a map of filenames to occurrence counts.   I was using this extension method to transform very large xml files with an xslt. Unfortunately, I get an OutOfMemoryException on the source.ToString() line.   Hello, I'm new here so be kind to my stupidity :) What I need to do if Search a folder say C:\example I then need to go through each file and check to see if it matches a few start characters so if files start temp****.txt tempONE.txt tempTWO.txt So if the file starts with temp and has an extension .txt I would like to then put that file name into a File file = new File("C:/example/temp***.txt); so I can then read in the file, the loop then needs to move onto the next file to check to see if it meets as above.   Using Maven 2, is there a way I can list out the jar dependencies as just the file names? mvn dependency:build-classpath can list the jar files, but that will include the full path to their location in my local repository. What I need is essentially just a list of the file names (or the file names that the copy-dependencies goal copied). So the list I need would be something like activation-1.1.jar,antlr-2.7.6.jar,aopalliance-1.0.jar etc... ideally as a maven property, but I guess, a file such as build-classpath can generate will do. What I am trying to achieve is writing a Bundle-ClassPath to an otherwise manually maintained MANIFEST.MF file for a OSGi bundle. (You shouldn't need to understand this bit to answer the question.) To clarify: The question is not about how to write manifest headers into the MANIFEST.MF file in a jar (that is easily googleble). I am asking about how to get the data I want to write, namely the list shown above.

  Hi all, I am using Visual Studio 2008 and CR XI R2 for a web application built in silverlight. currently I am having a problem with showing a dynamic image on a crystal report. I was told that the reference file added in the project might be old version, so I replaced the reference files to be 11.5x version from 10.5x version. I removed all 10.5x dlls and then added 11.5x dlls, but I see 10.5x dlls are added instead. does anybody how to fix this problem? Please help. Thanks,

  I have a read-only data file (for IP geolocation) that my web role needs to read. It is currently in the App_Data folder, which is NOT included in the deployment package for the cloud service. Unlike "web deploy", there is no checkbox for an azure cloud service deployment to include/exclude App_Data. Is there a reasonable way to get the deployment package to include the App_Data folder/files? Or is using Azure storage for this sort of thing the better way to go? (cost and performance wise) Am using Visual Studio 2013 and the Azure SDK 2.2

Our Web Server is a windows 2008 server and we have a site (images.mysite.com) that points to a shared drive on a unix box. The code used to do the uploading is C# 3.5. The system currently supports a workflow where after a threshold is met a new subfolder can be generated. The question we have is how many files and/or subfolders can you have in a single folder before there is a degredation in performance - in serving the images up through IIS 7 and reading/writing through code?

  I'm trying to download a lot of files after downloading a sql statement must insert a record. I'm using System.Net.Client to download each file synchronously, still it could be done asynchronous. There's no relation or dependency between each download. At first I just tried to use WebClient.DownloadFileAsync but that shutted the program down and killed all the download processes/threads. Second I tried to create a wait routine something like this; while (processedFiles < totalFiles) Thread.Sleep(1000) This freezed everything. So could someone tell me which aproach to take to implement this Async?

• Selectively parsing log files using Java

  I have to parse a big bunch of log files, which are in the following format. SOME SQL STATEMENT/QUERY DB20000I The SQL command completed successfully. SOME OTHER SQL STATEMENT/QUERY DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a valid Command Line Processor command. EDIT 1: The first 3 lines (including a blank line) indicate an SQL statement executed successfully, while the next three show the statement and the exception it caused. darioo's reply below, suggesting the use of grep instead of Java, works beautifully for a single line SQL statement. EDIT 2: However, the SQL statement/query might not be a single line, necessarily. Sometimes it is a big CREATE PROCEDURE...END PROCEDURE block. Can this problem be overcome using only Unix commands too? Now I need to parse through the entire log file and pick all occurrences of the pair of (SQL statement + error) and write them in a separate file. Please show me how to do this!
