  hi, i recently got three20 integrated into my app and am trying to override the default toolbar color in TTWebController. In TTWebController.m:118 I see that this is setting the toolbar's tintColor: _toolbar.tintColor = TTSTYLEVAR(toolbarTintColor); So I created my own stylesheet that subclasses TTDefaultStyleSheet and overrides toolbarTintColor FooStyleSheet.h: #import <Three20Style/Three20Style.h> #import <Three20Style/TTStyleSheet.h> #import <Three20Style/TTDefaultStyleSheet.h> @interface FooStyleSheet : TTDefaultStyleSheet @property (nonatomic, readonly) UIColor* toolbarTintColor; @end FooStyleSheet.m: #import "FooStyleSheet.h" @implementation RaptrStyleSheet - (UIColor*)toolbarTintColor { return RGBCOLOR(0, 0, 0); // should override TTDefaultStyleSheet } @end and in my application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions: i set my default stylesheet [TTStyleSheet setGlobalStyleSheet:[[[FooStyleSheet alloc] init] autorelease]]; but when I view the TTWebController, it doesn't inherit my tintColor. If I edit TTDefaultStyleSheet.m directly: - (UIColor*)toolbarTintColor { return [UIColor blackColor]; } it works as expected. • Initial selected Item in an UITabBar without a UITabBarController

  Hello, How do I set the default selected UITabBarItem in an UITabBar that is within an UIView, not an UITabBarController? Just to clarify, the UIView does implement the protocol and the didSelectItem method works. At run-time, the tabbar works and the tabbaritems selected when the user touches them. My problem is setting the default selected item. If i use [myTabbar setSelectedItem] within the didSelectItem method it works. But outside of it, it doesn't (for example, in the viewDidLoad method of my UIView). Thanks!

• How to build 64-bit Python on OS X 10.6 -- ONLY 64 bit, no Universal nonsense

  I just want to build this on my development machine -- the binary install from Python.org is still 32 bits and installing extensions (MySQLdb, for example) is driving me nuts with trying to figure out the proper flags for each and every extension. Clarification: I did NOT replace the system Python, I just installed the Python.org binary into its normal place at /Library/..., not /System/Library/.... Everything else seems to build 64 bit by default, and the default Python 2.6.1 was 64 bit (before I replaced it with the Python.org build figuring it was a direct replacement)` I just want a 64 bit only build that will run on my one machine without any cruft.   I have a member function in a class that has a callback, but the callback isn't strictly neccessary, so it has a default callback, which is empty. It seems to work fine, but I get an annoying warning: warning: converting from ‘void (ClassName::*)()’ to ‘void (*)()’ I'm trying to figure out what it means and how to turn it off (or fix it if I really am doing something wrong). • How to handle the back button on Windows Phone 7

  On the windows phone 7 emulator, when the hardware back button is pressed, the default behaviour is for it to close your current application. I want to override this default behaviour so that it navigates to the previous page in my application. After some research, it seems it should be possible to do this by overriding the OnBackKeyPress method, like so: protected override void OnBackKeyPress(System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs e) { // do some stuff ... // cancel the navigation e.Cancel = true; } However, clicking the back button still closes my application. Putting a breakpoint on the above method reveals that it is never called. I have another breakpoint on my application exit code, and this breakpoint is hit. Is there something else I need to do to intercept the back button?

  Hello. I'm trying to launch my mvc 2 application from iis 7.5 and get HTTP 403.14 - Forbidden error. That's what I did: 1. Went to add or remove windows fitures checked iis, asp.net, http redirect. Installed all this stuff. 2. Launched Visual studio 2010 (release), created standart mvc 2 project and published it in default web site/ApplicationName 3. Set default DefaultAppPool .Net version to 4.0. I'm the only user of the computer and have admin rights. What might be wrong? Thank you for your help.

  Can I perform a Criteria query with Sub-Select AND Left-Outer join? For example, I have A 1-many B 1-many C. With Criteria.createAlias ("b", "b", Criteria.LEFT_JOIN) I can perform Left Outer join. With Criteria.setFetchMode ("b", org.hibernate.FetchMode.DEFAULT) I can perform Join with the default fetching strategy. I assume that having set @org.hibernate.annotations.FetchMode.SUBSELECT in both A.B and B.C is enough (is it?). Question 1: Why does org.hibernate.FetchMode not have SUBSELECT option, whereas the org.hibernate.annotations.FetchMode does? Question 2: Can I perform a Criteria query with Sub-Select AND Left-Outer join?

• Why won't Windows Installer use the UI in the .msi file during removal?

  Has anyone been able to get Windows Installer to use the InstallUISequence table during removal? I started with an MSI file produced by the Visual Studio msi builder, decompiled it into WiX source code and handcrafted it, but I cannot get the installer to use my UI during removal. It insists on using a default UI provided by Windows Installer. I have also analyzed several MSI files, and I have been unable to find one where Windows Installer will use the provided UI during removal. I captured the msiexec logs during removal, and sure enough, Windows Installer appears to be ignoring the InstallUISequence table. It seems that msiexec runs with minimal UI during removal. If I specify the /qf switch (use full UI) during removal, then Windows Installer does take the UI from the .msi file. However, this doesn't help the regular user, because she won't do the removal from msiexec. Does anyone know of a way to convince Windows Installer to use the UI in the MSI file by default?

  I am using eclipselink JPA with a database which is also being updated externally to my application. For that reason there are tables I want to query every few seconds. I can't get this to work even when I try to disable the cache and query cache. For example: EntityManagerFactory entityManagerFactory = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("default"); EntityManager em = entityManagerFactory.createEntityManager(); MyLocation one = em.createNamedQuery("MyLocation.findMyLoc").getResultList().get(0); Thread.sleep(10000); MyLocation two = em.createNamedQuery("MyLocation.findMyLoc").getResultList().get(0); System.out.println(one.getCapacity() + " - " + two.getCapacity()); Even though the capacity changes while my application is sleeping the println always prints the same value for one and two.   Hi, I'm creating a simple SDI app using the new VS2008 service pack. I added ribbon support but all I want on the ribbon are the Open & Close buttons. I commented out all the code that creates the other default buttons and categories but doing this also gets rid of the status bar (CMFCRibbonStatusBar). I can't find what member function is called when I click the checkbox that displays the statusbar in the default generated code. I've tried the following but it doesn't work: m_wndStatusBar.ShowWindow( SW_SHOWNORMAL ); How do I have the status bar showing without having to have the 'Home' category and 'View' panel (with the 'Show status bar' checkbox) being generated? So far I can create the default gallery by overwriting the productions save: def save(self, force_insert=False, force_update=False): if not ( Gallery.objects.filter(name__exact="foo").exists() ): g = Gallery(name="foo") g.save() self.gallery.add(g) This creates and saves the model instance (if it doesn't already exist), but I don't know how to register the relationship between the two?

  I have a root UIViewController which has a property called webView. WebView is a UIViewController with a XIB that contains a UIWebView. From my root view I modally (is there any other way?) load the webView ViewController and set its URL, always to the same page. I discovered that if, after loading the webView, I used its default Web page to navigate to another Web page, and then closed the webView and returned to the root controller -- AND THEN reopened the webView, that the webView was not showing the default page but rather the page I navigated to, which means the webView ViewController never got destroyed and removed from memory. This strikes me as very bad. So in the root ViewController, I added this code under viewWillAppear:animated -- if (self.webView != nil) { self.webView = nil) } Is that sufficient? Is there a better way?

I have installed cygwin in windows and want to configure ssh, to remotely connect to my laptop.   How can you remove the favicon using Javascript in google chrome? The goal is to return it to the browser default, which is in this case a blank image. I found this question, but it doesn't work if you leave the link.href attribute as empty. Even if the favicon is set because there is a favicon.ico file on the server, I'd like to remove it and set it back to the default. This only needs to work in chrome. Thanks!

• Sub-classing TreeView in C# WinForms for mouse over tool tips

  Ok, this is a weird one. The expected behaviour for a TreeView control is that, if ShowNodeToolTips is set to false, then, when a label for a tree node exceeds the width of the control (or, more accurately, it's right hand edge is past the right hand edge of the client area), then a tooltip is shown above the node showing the full item's text. I'd like to disable that, because the above semantic doesn't always work, depending on what the treeview is contained within. So I have rolled my own, and got the tooltips to work (and line up better than the default one!) - but I would like to be able to disable the 'default' behaviour for situations where it would work natively. So, can anyone point me in the right direction as to which message to post to the TreeView in order to disable that behaviour? I have looked at the windows control reference, but couldn't find anything that looked like it might be the one. Thanks Matt

  I have a tab-based iPhone app where I want to increase the perceived start-up speed with a launch image. As defined by the iPhone HIG, the launch image is a screenshot of your app (called Default.png) that is displayed immediately and looks very similar to the app's first screen (e.g., the screenshot of an empty table when the app displays a table first). Now the problem with a tab-based app is that users can rearrange the order of tabs so that any of the tabs may be the first tab to show upon launch. I think I read somewhere that you can't change the Default.png programmatically in your app, but I couldn't find that in the HIG (and the "Clock" app seems to do exactly that - having one launch image per tab). So, how do provide a launch image for a tab-based app?

• Custom annotationView images revert to pins when clicked

  I'm displaying custom images on a map (instead of the default pins) using the code below. However, when I tap on an item (and the callout appears), the image reverts to the default red pin.
