  • How can i use a duration setting on .animate if it is inside the callback from a .fadeOut effect?

    I am trying to just fade the content of section#secondary out and once the content has been faded out, the parent (section#secondary) should animate 'shut' in a slider animation. All this is working however the durations are not and I cannot figure out why. What happens is that the fadeOut uses the appropriate slow speed but as soon as the callback fires (once the content is faded out) the section#secondary animates to width: 0 within a couple of milliseconds and not the 3000 ms ( 3 sec ) I set the animation duration to. Any ideas would be appreciated. PS: I cannot post an example at this point but since this is more a matter of theory of jQuery I don't think an example is necessary here. Correct me if I am wrong..

  • Render public html for dynamic banners in Rails ?

    Hi, I would like to render specific HTML snippets for displaying banners, because each banner has a different nature (some images, some flash, etc). Every banner file is under app/public/banners/. I tried many ways, like: render :file => "/banners/somebanner.html" But it can't locate the file, because Rails looks under app/views. Any ideas ?     Hi all, i am currently working on a web application that needs to accept video uploaded by users in any format (.avi, .mov, etc.) and convert them to flv for playing in a flash-based player. Since the site is OpenCms-based, the best solution would be a ready-made plugin for OpenCms that allowed to upload and play videos doing the transcode operation in background, but just a set of Java classes to do the transcode would be great and then i could make the uploading form and playback part on my own.

    I just figured out that all code completion for Eclipse is stored in plain files located here (example): .\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.php.core_2.1.1.v20090921-1100\Resources\language I tried adding global variables like $_POST, $_GET, $_SERVER to the end of basic.php but without any luck (did try to restart Eclipse). Is there a way to create compatible files for the needs of "smooth integration" of (ie.)CodeIgniter framework by adding or changing files located here and how would it be done?

  • Actionscript can't call javasript from locally-saved html

    I try to perform calling of a javascript function from actionscript 3.0 thru ExternalInterface.call(). I've seen a lot of online examples where the method works perfectly. But all downloaded copies of the examples don't work. Flash player can't call javasript due to the swf-html container security problems. I've already tried to set allowScriptAccess value from "sameDomain" to "always". It haven't solved the problem.

  • sessions get destroyed after return from sage gateway

    I have developed a module using SagePay Form integration method. It works fine until it returns from the Sagepay site and all of my local user session vars are destroyed for some reason.Thus i am unable to use my own created session vars and save information about a user regarding that specific order. The url's it returns to are success and failure urls. What might be the possible reason? Please any help is appreciated. Regards.

    i wonder if HTML5 Web Storage will be cleared when browser clears its cache? if it did, many ppl like me may lose data if i accidentally clear cache? or like in this comment ... Since HTML5 local storage is kept separate from js cookies (like Silverlight, Gears, Flash), it opens up a world of 3rd party privacy issues for HTML5 as these objects will likely NOT get deleted with a clear cache or delete temporary data ... where web storage is not cleared, but leads to privacy issues?
