  If you have checked out the new MSDN layout recently you will notice that there are tabs for example code: Do you see that there is room for F# (is there really anyone using that?) but not for Delphi! My question is: can we all ask Microsoft to add a Delphi tab and as a community take care off adding samples. If you agree please request Microsoft to add the Delphi tab (the more people, the more likely Microsoft will respond). • User Mode Linux - Installing a module error

  I am trying to run 'make' on a module in User Mode Linux to install a simple makefile. Here is my make file: obj-m := hello.o KDIR := /lib/modules/$(shell uname -r)/build PWD := $(shell pwd) default: $(MAKE) -C $(KDIR) SUBDIRS=$(PWD) modules When I run this in User Mode Linux I get the following error: make[1]: Entering directory /lib/modules/2.6.28/build' make[1]: *** No rule to make targetmodules'. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory `/lib/modules/2.6.28/build' make: * [default] Error 2 The problem is that no files are present under /lib/modules/. There's no directory for 2.6.28 or build. From what I've read, these should be symlinks to /usr/src, but under /usr/src, I don't see any files under that either.

  Hello, I am trying to write some mod_rewrite rules to generate thumbnails on the fly. So when this url example.com/media/myphoto.jpg?width=100&height=100 the script should rewrite it to example.com/media/myphoto-100x100.jpg and if the file exists on the disk it gets served by Apache and if it doesn't exist it is called a script to generate the file. I wrote this RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^width=(\d+)&height=(\d+) RewriteRule ^media/([a-zA-Z0-9_\-]+)\.([a-zA-Z0-9]+)$ media/$1-%1x%2.$2 [L] RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.+)? RewriteRule ^media/([a-zA-Z0-9_\-\._]+)$ media/index.php?file=$1&%1 [L] and I get infinite internal redirects. The first condition is matched and the rule is executed and right after that I get an internal redirect. I need advice to finish this script. Thank you.

  I use JLS extensively both as a learning and teaching resource, but I've noticed that there are some errors in it. There's the simple typos (e.g. JLS 5.1.4 "convesions"), but there's also some that I consider quite serious errors. For example, JLS 18.1 The Grammar of the Java Programming Language is supposed to be the authoritative reference for the grammar of the Java language, but it contains a production rule that never gets used! (e.g. MoreStatementExpressions). Surely this is a sign of more serious errors in other parts of the given grammar, right? So is there an errata for the 3rd edition? Will there ever be? Should we send errors we've found to Sun/Oracle? Will there ever be a 4th edition?

So I'm trying to find some ways to get actual size of loaded page (then I can change Height/Width of control) OR change scale of loaded page (to fit it to the actual WebControl control).   I need the xpi_hash variable to be assigned only when update target's command is decided to execute. Then I'm using this variable as environment, exporting, etc.. If I put it outside of rule, it will be expanded firstly, before $(xpi) target is called, hence will not find that file. update: $(xpi) $(target_update_rdf) xpi_hash := $(shell sha1sum $(xpi) | grep -Eow '^[^ ]+') @echo "Updating..." and above of course is not correct, because for command part the shell is represented. So maybe another way to put this question is - how to bring variable as command output?

• Oracle EXECUTE IMMEDIATE changes explain plan of query.

  I have a stored procedure that I am calling using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE. The issue that I am facing is that the explain plan is different when I call the procedure directly vs when I use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE to call the procedure. This is causing the execution time to increase 5x. The main difference between the plans is that when I use execute immediate the optimizer isn't unnesting the subquery (I'm using a NOT EXISTS condition).   Hello, I hope you could help me here. I have a RewriteRule which gives you a crossdomain.xml file depending on the domain name.   Hi, We have a sitemap at our site, http://www.gamezebo.com/sitemap.xml Some of the urls in the sitemap, are being reported in the webmaster central as being blocked by our robots.txt, see, gamezebo.com/robots.txt ! Although these urls are not Disallowed in Robots.txt. There are other such urls aswell, for example, gamezebo.com/gamelinks is present in our sitemap, but it's being reported as "URL restricted by robots.txt". Also I have this parse result in the Webmaster Central that says, "Line 21: Crawl-delay: 10 Rule ignored by Googlebot". What does it mean? I appreciate your help, Thanks.

But none of them seems to come up with the default value issue, or using sql commands as default values for database generation. Current settings are: project/cruise_config.rb: project.email_notifier.emails = ['[email protected]'] project.email_notifier.from = '[email protected]' site_config.rb: ActionMailer::Base.smtp_settings = { :address => "localhost", :domain => "myemail.com", } I've even tried ActionMailer::Base.delivery_method = :sendmail Configuration.email_from = '[email protected]' Any thoughts as to why my cruisecontrol can't send an e-mail? I want to get the valid emailID from the list.If I use the emailaddress from the address book of any mail account then the name of the user get appended with the emailID .eg:"Ayushi Soni" ,.. and then copy these address to a textbox in an MVC application. • how to target css to iPad but exclude Safari 4 desktop using a media query?

  I am trying to use a media rule to target css to iPad only. I want to exclude iPhone/iPod and desktop browsers. I would like to to also exclude other mobile devices if possible. I have used <style type="text/css" media="only screen and (min-device-width: 768px) and (max-device-width: 1024px)"> but just found out that desktop Safari 4 reads it. I have tried variations with "481px" instead of "768px" and another that adds an orientation to that: <style type="text/css" media="only screen and (min-device-width: 481px) and (max-device-width: 1024px) and (orientation:portrait)"> but not luck. (Later we will be sniffing user-agent strings for iPad, but for now that solution won't work.) Thanks!

  HI guys. Im using mod_rewrite to do some redirects on a web site. I want to be able to do the following mySite.com/ - Goto Home mySite.com/foo - Goto redirect.php and redirect acordingly. My redirect rule was RewriteRule (^\w*$) redirect.php?url=$1 [NC] But im oviously missing something because when I go tomySite.com/ I get sent to redirect.php I need a regex that allow lower and upper case letters, as well as underscores but it has to ignore "empty" strings so when I go to mySite.com/ the index file is displayed. Any help? Thanks!

• Symfony: Weird routing issue

  Hi, I've got following URL in symfony (specifics not important): /frontend_dev.php/something/25/apple ... and a routing rule: /something/:id/:word The URL works fine when clicked through to on the site, but not when I type in the URL. Instead, symfony says: Unable to find a matching route to generate url for params "NULL". The weird thing is that I can navigate to this page and it works, but when hitting Enter in the browser address bar, it no longer finds it. Any thoughts on what might be the cause of something like this generally? I should also add that the URL was working fine when typed in the address bar earlier, but doesn't anymore, and I'm not sure what's there that might be interfering with it. Thanks in advance.

  Hi there, In my database I have a lot of users who've misspelled their e-mail address. This in turn causes my postfix to bounce a lot of mails when sending the newsletter. Forms include (but are not limited to) "yaho.com", "yahho .com" etc. Very annoying! So i have been trying to update those record to the correct value. After executing select email from users where email like '%@yaho%' and email not like '%yahoo%'; and getting the list, I'm stuck because I do not know how to update only the yaho part. I need the username to be left intact. So I thought I would just dump the database and use vim to replace, but I cannot escape the @ symbol.. BTW, how do I select all email addresses written in CAPS? select upper(email) from users; would just transform everything into CAPS, whereas I just needed to find out the already-written-in-CAPS mails.

• Searching Outlook Global Adress List

  I'm pulling up the Global Address List from Outlook like so... Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Application oApp = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Application(); AddressList gal = oApp.Session.GetGlobalAddressList(); ...with the aim of eventually being able to search through this in my own application to retrieve contact information which I can then supply to a method that squirrels off an email. Unfortunately given that my own GAL has about 20K entries in (the customers much more) using a foreach or something simply doesn't work in an acceptable timeframe. I want to pass a string like "Tom" to a method and have it return a list of possible contacts. Is this possible outside of actually opening up Outlook and creating the mail there? Note: There are a couple of other questions similar to this but most seem to have no good answer. I'm hoping I have more luck.

• weird characters in HTML email

  Hi stackers! I'm reading email from a maildir and some emails have weird sets of characters in them: =3D =09 I think =3D is = and =09 is a space. There are some others, but I'm not sure: =E2 =80 =93 Does anyone know what these are and what encoding issues I'm dealing with here? BTW, I tried fetching these email via POP3 and it's the same thing. The reason I'm posting this on SO is not because I'm using a regular mail client to read the data. I'm reading via PHP out of maildir files. Perhaps a regular email client would detect what encoding this is and deal with it. Thanks!

  IE8 in non-compatability view, Version 8.0.6001.18702 The code below represents the problem: <body><div style="height:400px;width:400px"><iframe src="http://mail.ru" height="100%" width="100%"></iframe></div></body> Scroll the IFRAME to the right to the middle of "??????? ??????? ? ???????" orange label. Alt-Tab to other window and Alt-Tab back to IE window. The internal HTML will appear ouside of IFRAME boundaries. The screenshot demonstrating the problem. Does the IFRAME rendering have a bug? May be I have an unpatched version (automatic updates are turned ON). Could you suggest a workaround except turning on Compatability View? Thank you.

• iOS 5 fixed positioning and virtual keyboard

  I have a mobile website which has a div pinned to the bottom of the screen via position:fixed. All works fine in iOS 5 (I'm testing on an iPod Touch) until I'm on a page with a form. When I tap into an input field and the virtual keyboard appears, suddenly the fixed position of my div is lost. The div now scrolls with the page as long as the keyboard is visible. Once I click Done to close the keyboard, the div reverts to its position at the bottom of the screen and obeys the position:fixed rule. Has anyone else experienced this sort of behavior? Is this expected? Thanks.

  I have installed both shoulda and factory_girl, I can run shoulda just fine, but when I add this: require 'factory_girl' Factory.define :user do |u| u.mail '[email protected]' u.pass 'secret' end to my test/test_helper.rb I'm getting this error: /test/test_helper.rb:1:in `require': no such file to load -- factory_girl (LoadError) when I execute rake test:units I have installed both gems using: sudo gem install thoughtbot-shoulda --source=http://gems.github.com sudo gem install thoughtbot-factory_girl --source=http://gems.github.com and can see both of them being installed fine. And by the way, this works fine as well: script/console Loading development environment (Rails 2.3.8) require 'factory_girl' = [] so requiring the gems seems to be working

Could anyone please explain the following line of code, found on http://docs.openttd.org/ai__cargo_8cpp_source.html return (AICargo::TownEffect)::CargoSpec::Get(cargo_type)->town_effect; If this line was: return (AICargo::TownEffect) ::CargoSpec::Get(cargo_type)->town_effect; (note the space between TownEffect) and the ::) then I would understand it fine. However there is no whitespace in that document*, which would mean (AICargo::TownEffect) is the left operand of the :: operator. How does this code work/compile? Or are the two things equivilent due to some obscure C++ rule? *It's the same in the cpp file as well.
