  • Black screen on Windows 7 right after opening Google Sketchup or Minecraft

    I get a black screen on Windows 7 right after opening Google Sketchup or Minecraft. I presume there are other applications that cause this too - but I have not tried to open them. The window initially stops responding for a few seconds, before I get a black screen and my Skype call ends abruptly. I have tried waiting for a few minutes but nothing happens. I have to power down my computer and then boot it up again. This is becoming an annoyance, and I don't know what's causing it. Here are my specs, if it helps: My graphics card is an ATI RADEON XPRESS 1100. If you need any more info or if I've missed anything please ask. Thanks :-)

  • Tracking down laptops Google has never heard of

    Using MS tools to get information on PCs using our software, our customers have sent several Lenovo systems which have names we simply cannot find using Google... no search results at all. Considering these names/ids are returned by querying the system directly, not asking the customer to write it down by looking at the box, this seems odd. The ones we have so far (more than one of each) are: Lenovo 2241BL9 Lenovo 6463Y4H My guess is these are Thinkpads after Lenovo took over the brand, but can anyone help me out with this detective work? edit: the 2nd one does turn up some driver downloads and this page, but it's unclear what any of that means. Eclipse Preferences Android, I see a lot of "Target Name" like Android 1.1 - Android 2.1 However, in the book that I'm reading, I'm also supposed to see a "Target Name" called "Google APIs".
