  • GWT complex app, many screens. Architecture?

    I'm making a GWT application which will have many screens. There will be a menu on the left and clicking a menu option will open the relevant module in the right side content area. Clicking on items in the content area will link to other modules that open in the same content area. How do I implement this architecture? How do I pass objects between the different content modules? How do I isolate each module into its own package? Can all of these be within the same Eclipse project? Anything else that should be considered?

    Hi all, What I want to do is render a SSRS 2008 report as HTML (actually MHTML) and send that as the body in an email. Has anyone done this? I've almost got it (I think) but I seem to have a encoding problem. The email shows up as what looks like some sort of base64 encoding. Directly set the label's Content property won't work, it just simply clear the binding.

    I need to import jpeg images into a WP7/XNA app with associated metadata. The program which manages these images exports to an XML file with an encoded byte[] of the jpg files. I've written a custom importer/processor which successfully imports the reserialized objects into my XNA project.     I have a very weird problem.. I really do hope someone has an answer because I wouldn't know where else to ask. I am writing a cgi application in C++ which is executed by Apache and outputs HTML code. I am compressing the HTML output myself - from within my C++ application - since my web host doesn't support mod_deflate for some reason. I tested this with Firefox 2, Firefox 3, Opera 9, Opera 10, Google Chrome, Safari, IE6, IE7, IE8, even wget.. It works with ANYTHING except IE8. IE8 just says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage", with no information whatsoever. I know it's because of the compression only because it works if I disable it. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?     Currently, I have a semi-dynamic system for my website's pages. head.php has all the tags before the content body, foot.php the tags after. Any page using the main theme will include head.php, then write the content, then output foot.php. Currently, to be able to set the title, I quickly set a variable $title before inclusion: <?php $title = 'Untitled document'; include_once '../head.php'; ?> <h2>Untitled document</h2> Content here... <?php include_once '../foot.php'; ?> So that in head.php... <title><?php echo $title; ?> | Delan Azabani</title> However, this seems kludgy as the title is most of the time, the same as the content of the h2 tag. Is there a way I can get PHP to read the content of h2, track back and insert it, then send the whole thing at the end?

    Hello. I have a java project (using Spring mvc) which i have built and deployed on my local computer. It runs on a JBoss application server, and works fine on the local machine. The next step i do, is to copy the deployed project.war from the local machine to the server which has the same development environment as the local machine. I stop the JBoss server, delete the cache, and run the JBoss server again.   • How can you use jQuery to make sIFR-replaced elements fade in?

    This is what I currently have: // #content is visibility=hidden sIFR.replace(mix_bold, { selector: '#content p', onReplacement: function(fi) { $('#content').fadeIn("slow"); } }); The fade in happens, but for a split second the replaced flash movie appears before being hidden. Has anyone gotten this to work? I am using jQuery 1.2.6 and sIFR 3 r436. Tested in Safari 4 and FF 3. Thanks!

  • Is this a bug? Or is it a setting in ASP.NET 4 (or MVC 2)?

    I just recently started trying out T4MVC and I like the idea of eliminating magic strings. However, when trying to use it on my master page for my stylesheets, I get this: <link href="<%: Links.Content.site_css %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> rending like this: <link href="&lt;%: Links.Content.site_css %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> Whereas these render correctly: <link href="<%: Url.Content("~/Content/Site.css") %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="<%: Links.Content.site_css + "" %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> It appears that, as long as I have double quotes inside of the code segment, it works. But when I put anything else in there, it escapes the leading "less than". Is this something I can turn off? Is this a bug? Edit: This does not happen for <script src="..." ... />, nor does it happen for <a href="...">. Edit 2: Minimal case: <link href="<%: string.Empty %>" /> vs <link href="<%: "" %>" />

  • pdfSharp moving items on page

    Hi, I am trying to move content in a pdf document using pdfSharp. We have a number of documents that are the same size i.e. 488x320mm, the content within these documents is always positioned relative to the top right of the document but varies in size i.e. 210x330mm, 240x350mm etc. What i need to do is 'find' the content block and move it from its current position to the centre of the sheet. Please help!
