• How to call a Biztalk net.TCP service from Raw TCP request?

  I have written a net.tcp based service in Biztalk 2006 R2 and it listens at a location, http://localhost:5060/WCFTcpService I need to call this service by using Raw TCP request. i.e. I don't want to create a proxy class and consume it in a .NET client application. How can I be able to do this? The real scenario is that an Oracle Stored procedure will be used to communicate with this service and the only way I am allowed to call this service is to send a TCP request to the Biztalk server that is hosting the service. Any help or tips would be really appreciated. Thanks.

• Prolog - Finding the current directory, relative directory for 'tell' predicate

  I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to get prolog to spit out a text file where I want it to. I'm currently doing a bunch of operations and then using tell('output.txt') to record the output. Now the problem is that when I do this, it creates this file in the SWI \bin\ folder. I was wondering if there's a way to make it create this file in the directory containing the actual .pl file. So even if the file was moved (and it will be), the text file gets created right where the source file is. Long story short, is there a way to get the location of the source file once the source file has been consulted? Many Thanks!

  I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to GIS, but I think I understand the basics - it doesn't seem to hard. But: All these acronyms and different libraries, GEOS, GDAL, PROJ, PCL, Shaply, OpenGEO, OGR, OGC, OWS and what not, each seemingly depending on any number of others, is slightly overwhelming me. Here's what I would like to do: Given a number of points and a linestring, I want to determine the location on the line closest to a certain point. In other words, what PostGIS's line_locate_point() does: http://postgis.refractions.net/documentation/manual-1.3/ch06.html#line%5Flocate%5Fpoint Except I want do use plain Python. Which library or libraries should I have a look at generally for doing these kinds of spatial calculations in Python, and is there one that specifically supports a line_locate_point() equivalent?

  I am in a position where I could become a team leader of a team distributed over two countries. This team would be the tech. team for a start up company that we plan to bootstrap on limited funds. So I am trying to find out ways to minimize upfront expenses. Right now we are planning to use Java and will have a lot of junit tests. I am planing on using github for VCS and lighthouse for a bug tracker. In addition I want to add a continuous integration server but I do not know of any continuous integration servers that are offered as a web service. Does anybody know if there are continuous integration servers available in a software as a service model? P.S. if anybody knows were I can get these three services at one location that would be great to know to.

• Getting value from key pair value into appended property using jQuery

  How do I get the value from a key pair value into the rel property of an anchor tag? When I split the code to put the value in the correct place it doesn't work, the end of the a tag would appear on screen instead value wouldn't be applied. When I look at the resulting code in console in Firebug the rel and href swapped order so the rel is first. The 'key' should be and is in the correct location but the 'value' needs to be applied to the rel attribute.   First and foremost: I know it's not right or even good thing to do but my current customer will not cave in. So here's what he is asking for (this is for in-house-behind-a-firewall-etc project). In the web report I need to supply a link which points to the executable script that lives on the universally mapped location (network file server). When user clicks on it it is expected to run on the local client starting local executable which should be pre-installed on the client's box. It should be agnostic to OS (Windows or Linux) and the browser used. Customer doesn't mind to click on angry pop-up alerts but he wants to do it once per client browser (or at minimum - session). QUESTION: Will trusted Java applet be able to do it? Or is the any other (better, simpler) ways of achieving the same? ActiveX control is out of question

• How to show a client-side message with Java JSF/Tobago?

  I have a web application created with JSF and Tobago. The user types some date into a sheet and clicks a button (all within one sheet-row). Now my java class checks whether the data is correct or not. In case there are some problems, I would like to show up something like a messagebox containing the errormessage. I cannot use something like JDialog, since this would happen only server side. Every user independently of his location needs to get the message. I thought about setting the error information into a databean and having my jsp show up the message after reloading. But how can I achieve this? Is there something like a tag which can be used for this? Or can I use the "confirmation" facet for this? But how would I start it without having the user to do something? Thanks in advance!

  My Question: How do you get the filepath to the current wallpaper? Expansion: I'm writing an app that will let you change the wallpaper easily between different presets. I want to store the filepath of the available wallpapers in my database. What I've tried: WallpaperManger.getWallpaperInfo() or WallpaperManger.getDrawable(). • Crystal Reports and WMF image

  I have a problem with inserting a vector graphics (WMF) into report (Crystal Reports v10.5 from Visual Studio 2008). The image is static, inserted by choosing "Insert Picture" during report design in VS. The problem is that it displays differently (size and aspect ratio) on machines with different operating systems and screen resolutions. Converting to bitmap isn't possible beacause loss of the quality of print isn't acceptable. I thought about dynamic loading of the image, but in this version of CR. I don't see a possibility to set dynamic graphic location in picture properties. Is there any way to solve this problem?

I'm currently leaning towards partitioning them by geographic location. To improve the locality of data, users will be separated into regions e.g. North America, South America and so on. • What wording in the C++ standard allows static_cast<non-void-type*>(malloc(N)); to work?

  As far as I understand the wording in 5.2.9 Static cast, the only time the result of a void*-to-object-pointer conversion is allowed is when the void* was a result of the inverse conversion in the first place. Throughout the standard there is a bunch of references to the representation of a pointer, and the representation of a void pointer being the same as that of a char pointer, and so on, but it never seems to explicitly say that casting an arbitrary void pointer yields a pointer to the same location in memory, with a different type, much like type-punning is undefined where not punning back to an object's actual type. So while malloc clearly returns the address of suitable memory and so on, there does not seem to be any way to actually make use of it, portably, as far as I have seen.

• Using Alias in Apache ONLY if local directory not present?

  Hey all, We're running a reseller web host, and aliasing a particular directory for ALL the sites within. This is all happening through WHM/Cpanel, which could possibly complicate my question. We want all hosts to run their "/concrete" directory through a shared location on the server. This is working fine by adding "Alias /concrete/ "/usr/local/share/concrete5/concrete-latest/concrete/" to the apache include editor in WHM. However, if a local concrete/ directory exists within the particular webroot of the virtual host, we'd rather use that than "/concrete" globally. It would also be nice if we could make this alias change in the context of the virtual host, within WHM (and I haven't found a great way to modify virtual host sections in WHM without hacking a file that I don't believe we're supposed to hack.) Thoughts?

  I'm adding a facebook comment widget to a website. I'm placing this widget in a file that is included on everypage. The navigation is relatively linked so it switches back and forth from http and https. But for some reason the comment widget only shows up if both the src linked file and webpage is secure or both the src linked file and webpage is NOT secure. The widget does not display of the src file is secure and the webpage is not secure. So...
