  • Compare rows between 2 tables

    - by arthur
I am new to SQL and I need to build a database for a grocery store(not real, just a course assignment) i have two fields from two different tables - supplied price - the price that the store buys from the supplier and price that is given to the customers How can I make a constraint that insures that supplied price is lower then the price that is given to the customers? The relevant tables that I have are: CREATE TABLE Supplied_Products( [Supplier ID] Int NOT NULL Foreign Key References Suppliers, [Product ID] Int NOT NULL Foreign Key References Products, Price Float NOT NULL, CHECK (Price0), Constraint PK_Supplied_Products PRIMARY KEY([Supplier ID] ,[Product ID]) ) CREATE TABLE Products( [Product-ID] Int NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, [Product Name] Varchar(20) NOT NULL, Price Float NOT NULL, [Category-Name] Varchar(20) NOT NULL Foreign Key References Categories, [Weight] Float NOT NULL, [Is Refrigirated] Varchar(1) DEFAULT 'N' CHECK ([Is Refrigirated] in('Y','N')),/* Is Refrigirated can be only Y-yes or N-no*/ CHECK (Price 0) )

  • Help with Ruby Date Compare

    - by Kevin
Yes, I've read and done teh Google many times but I still can't get this working... maybe I'm an idiot :) I have a system using tickets. Start date is "created_at" in the timestamps. Each ticket closes 7 days after "created_at". In the model, I'm using: def closes (self.created_at + 7.days) end I'm trying to create another method that will take "closes" and return it as how many days, hours, minutes, and seconds are left before the ticket closes. Anyone want to help and/or admonish my skills? ;)

  • I need a program to store the database script for oracle

    - by Hakan Kara
We are developing a project that has 3 enviroments (development, test, production) So there are 3 databases (actually more than 3, because we have 5 customers so we have more than 10 databases) and they must be synchronised. There are 30 coders working for this project. Everone adds, deletes, and changes procedures, table columns etc. We need a program to store our database scripts like visual studio's team foundation server. See the change history of script file. Everyone must access that program and be able to put their scripts. Recover previous versions of script file. Execute these scripts over a selected database. Compare databases by procedures (not only by name, by content of procedure), functions, table columns, packages etc. I am searching a program like that. Which one do you suggest me?

  • Visual SVN diff and compare tools for Linux

    - by Lakshman Prasad
Which is the best Visual SVN Diff displayer for Linux. BeyondCompare and VisualSVN1.5 work well on Windows. What are the equivallent tools for Linux. Specifically Ubuntu. I know command line diff works; But I'd like multiple column syntax highlighted and differences. Better if the tool has a support for Git and Hg as well.

  • Does a program exist for checking two similar directories for file differences?

    - by John Sullivan
Is there a program to compare one folder and all subfolders to another folder and all subfolders for differences in the files contained therein (presence, absence of files, size and list of filenames)? Example of usage: I have 100 DLL files from environment 1 and I want to check if any of them are different (in size and date modified) from the 100 DLL files in environment 2. So I copy and paste all the DLLs in environment 1 into directory A, and all the DLLs in environment 2 into directory B. I then run my "directory comparison" program on directories A and B and find out that, aha, here is a list of 7 DLLs that have different modified dates and times between the two directories. EDIT: OS is windows XP

  • compare two following values in numpy array

    - by Billy Mitchell
What is the best way to touch two following values in an numpy array? example: npdata = np.array([13,15,20,25]) for i in range( len(npdata) ): print npdata[i] - npdata[i+1] this looks really messed up and additionally needs exception code for the last iteration of the loop. any ideas? Thanks!

    - by Sargun Dhillon
What do you think of Quagga compared to XORP as a dynamic software routing engine? What are the technical merits of each engine comparatively? Additionally, what do most people think of them from a programming view. Who has manipulated networks using these enginers? I was wondering from an OSPF, routing, BGP protocol user's perpspective.

  • How do Python and PHP compare for ecommerce?

    - by Ibn Saeed
If I were to start an ecommerce store, which language would you suggest I start with? Python or PHP? And would it be wise to use Python for an ecommerce site in favor of PHP? PHP has lots of shopping carts, both open source and commercial. Is Python the future of Web Development ? Edit: I would like to clear out that i am not asking for Shopping carts solutions and links to them.

  • Vbscript - Object Required for DateLastModified

    - by Kenny Bones
I don't really know what's wrong right here. I'm trying to create a vbscript that basically checks two Folders for their files and compare the DateLastModified attribute of each and then copies the source files to the destination folder if the DateLastModified of the source file is newer than the existing one. I have this code: Dim strSourceFolder, strDestFolder Dim fso, objFolder, colFiles strSourceFolder = "c:\users\user\desktop\Source\" strDestFolder = "c:\users\user\desktop\Dest\" Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") Set objFolder = fso.GetFolder(strSourceFolder) Set colFiles = objFolder.Files For each objFile in colFiles Dim DateModified DateModified = objFile.DateLastModified ReplaceIfNewer objFile, DateModified, strSourceFolder, strDestFolder Next Sub ReplaceIfNewer (sourceFile, DateModified, SourceFolder, DestFolder) Const OVERWRITE_EXISTING = True Dim fso, objFolder, colFiles, sourceFileName, destFileName Dim DestDateModified, objDestFile Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") sourceFileName = fso.GetFileName(sourceFile) destFileName = DestFolder & sourceFileName if fso.FileExists(destFileName) Then objDestFile = fso.GetFile(destFileName) DestDateModified = objDestFile.DateLastModified msgbox "File last modified: " & DateModified msgbox "New file last modified: " & DestDateModified End if End Sub And I get the error: On line 34, Char 3 "Object required: 'objDestFile' But objDestFile IS created?

  • Using Comparable to compare objects and sorting them in a TreeMap

    - by arjacsoh
    II cannot understand how should the natural ordering of class be "consistent with equals" when implementing the Comparable interface. I deteted a flaw in my program and therefore I deteced that in the documentantion of the interface Comparable. My problem is that although two Objects are considered as distinct on the base of equals method, the TreeMap structure treats them as equal and consequently does not accept the second insert. The sample code is: public class Car implements Comparable<Car> { int weight; String name; public Car(int w, String n) { weight=w; name=n; } public boolean equals(Object o){ if(o instanceof Car){ Car d = (Car)o; return ((d.name.equals(name)) && (d.weight==weight)); } return false; } public int hashCode(){ return weight/2 + 17; } public String toString(){ return "I am " +name+ " !!!"; } public int compareTo(Car d){ if(this.weight>d.weight) return 1; else if(this.weight<d.weight) return -1; else return 0; } /*public int compareTo(Car d){ return this.name.compareTo(d.name); }*/ } public static void main(String[] args) { Car d1 = new Car(100, "a"); Car d2 = new Car(110, "b"); Car d3 = new Car(110, "c"); Car d4 = new Car(100, "a"); Map<Car, Integer> m = new HashMap<Car, Integer>(); m.put(d1, 1); m.put(d2, 2); m.put(d3, 3); m.put(d4, 16); for(Map.Entry<Car, Integer> me : m.entrySet()) System.out.println(me.getKey().toString() + " " +me.getValue()); TreeMap<Car, Integer> tm = new TreeMap<Car, Integer>(m); System.out.println("After Sorting: "); for(Map.Entry<Car, Integer> me : tm.entrySet()) System.out.println(me.getKey().toString() + " " +me.getValue()); } The output is : I am a !!! 16 I am c !!! 3 I am b !!! 2 After Sorting: I am a !!! 16 I am c !!! 2 That is, that the object c has replaced (somewhat) object b. If I comment the original equals method and uncomment the second equals method, which compares the objects according name, the output is the expected: I am a !!! 16 I am c !!! 3 I am b !!! 2 After Sorting: I am a !!! 16 I am b !!! 2 I am c !!! 3 Why does it come around in this way and what should I alter in order to insert and sort different objects with some attributes of equal value in a TreeMap?

  • Open txt files from a directory, compare the values, and output the top 15 in PHP

    - by Anon
Hello, I recently designed a referral game website for the fun of it. There's a simple MySQL user system with a email verification. It's using the UserCake user management system. On top of this i added a php page that the user could give to "victims" that when they visit it they get "infected" and can infect other users or "victims". This page uses GET to get the username from the url. I have a folder that when a user registers it creates a file with 4 digits and then the username. (ex; 0000Username.txt) All the numbers are the same, it's just so that if a user discovers the folder they won't be able to find the files. There is also a txt file in the same format with IPS in the name. (ex; 0000IPSUsername.txt) The file when visited gets the username from the url, then checks if the text file for that username exists. If the username is present in the url, and a valid user it opens the IPS file and adds the IP of the visitor, then opens the user text file, takes the value and adds one to it, and saves. At the end it makes the difference between saying "You are infected, Username has infected (amount) people." or just you have been infected. Now to what i need! I need to add a hi-scores to the website so people can compete to be the one with the most "infections". I thought i could use readdir to get a list of the files and open them with the value in an array, but i need it to also strip the username from the file name. It would be best if it just saves to a text file like "Username | value" because then i can add echo's of the html tags and have it include the file in the page i want it to be one. Many thanks in advance.

  • Compare TinyMCE and CKeditor for a Wiki

    - by Lakshman Prasad
For a custom wiki django-wakawaka, i want to be able to add a WYSIWYG support. TinyMCE is obviously the most popular plugin, used even by Wordpress. But CK-editor seems more feature full. Those who have used either of these or both, which is better and why. Are there some better packages, that I am missing? Is there something that I am missing when I conclude CKeditor is better, by going through them (because it is not as widely used). I want to use it with django and jquery, with multiple instances of WYSIWYG widget per page. Does one offer advantage over the other.

  • Compare Date objects with different levels of precision

    - by brainimus
    I have a JUnit test that fails because the milliseconds are different. In this case I don't care about the milliseconds. How can I change the precision of the assert to ignore milliseconds (or any precision I would like it set to)? Example of a failing assert that I would like to pass: Date dateOne = new Date(); dateOne.setTime(61202516585000L); Date dateTwo = new Date(); dateTwo.setTime(61202516585123L); assertEquals(dateOne, dateTwo);

    - by czuroski
Hello, I have a password hash that is stored in a table and is put there by the following coldfusion script- #Hash(EnCrypt(UCase(GetPass.username),EnCode))# I am trying to add some outside functionality within a c# application. I would like to be able to take advantage of the data that already exists so that I can authenticate users. Does anyone know how I can replicate the above coldfusion code in c#? Thanks for any thoughts.

  • help in compare validate in c#

    - by scatman
i have 2 textboxes that i am filling with StartDate, and Endate. i want to use the compareValidator to make sure that the StartDate is less that the EndDate. i used this: <asp:CompareValidator ID="Comp" ControlToValidate="txtStartDate" ControlToCompare="txtEndDate" Operator="LessThan" Type="Date" runat="server" Display="dynamic" Text="Failed!" /> the validator is always giving me Failed no matter what the dates are. if startdateendate or vise versa, Failed appears. i am using (MM/dd/yyyy) format in the textboxes. EDIT: ok i solved the problem. if anyone interested here is the new comparevalidator: <asp:CompareValidator ID="Comp" ControlToValidate="txtEndDate" ControlToCompare="txtStartDate" Operator="GreaterThan" Type="Date" runat="server" Display="dynamic" Text="Failed!" />
