How do you save/export changes made in Firebug?

Using Firebug to edit CSS, how do I save/export changes made to the CSS? TOOLS: Firefox, Firebug MAJOR UPDATE: If you know of a way to lock the forward/back/refresh on a FireFox tab, please let me know. Otherwise, I've given up on using FireBug/FireDiff as an IDE for CSS, it's nice, but lol... press backspace at the wrong time and ALL your work is gone... funny. So, really like the browser highlighting to CSS/HTML in Firebug. Know any good CSS editors that do this? Really had hope FireBug would work, but for now only see it as being good for ad-hoc inspection and test; meaning using it for what it's made for. UPDATES: @Lèse majesté: Just as an update, "Web Developer add-on" does let you edit CSS, but it does not let you edit/save CSS changes made by Firebug. Meaning you use Firebug to ID and maybe test changes, but it does not let you save the changes from Firebug. Here's a "how to" covering how to use them together: FF + FB + WD @Lèse majesté: Still playing around with FireDiff. It works okay, found one bug already (although I'm just working around it), and there's no "how to" I've been able to find, so I'm just trying every feature and clicking around... (for example, to export a diff you must be over the last item in the list, right click, and select as "Save Diff". The ".diff" is just a text file, no idea why at this point the ext is .diff.

What can I do to utilize all my hard disk space?

I had windows XP running on my computer. Then I installed Ubuntu from under windows. Then I decided I wanted to have only Ubuntu also because I got a system message that I am out of disk space. I loaded up my system from a live Ubuntu DVD and deleted the partition with windows on it and also the other partition that had my data on it. I expanded the partition which I thought to be the system partition (since there was no other partition left It had ext format. After that Ubuntu was working fine and I thought I have enough disk space, since my harddrive is an 80 GB ATA Maxtor. I left a small partition as backup. But after downloading a small amount of files I got the message again, that I am running out of disk space. I don't now. How can UI make my disk space bigger? I am not used to Ubuntu's file system, and I don't have the overview on how I can actually see how much space there is left for me to use. I have basically now 1 partition with the system on it and one small backup (as far as I understand). "Misaligned partition" - Should I do repartition (how?)

Tried to install Ubuntu 12.04 from USB-stick alongside the existing Win7 OS 64bit, and now I'm not sure if install was completely successful: Disk Utility tool claims that the Extended partition (which contains Ubuntu partition and Swap) is "misaligned" and recommends repartition. What should I do, and if should I do this repartition, how to do it (especially if I would like not to lose the data on Win7 partition)? Background info: A considerably new Thinkpad laptop (UEFI BIOS, if that matters). Before install there were already a "SYSTEM_DRV" partition, the main Windows partition and a Lenovo recovery partition (all NTFS). Now the table looks like this: SYSTEM_DRV (sda1), Windows (sda2), Extended (sda4) (which contains Linux (sda5; ext4) and Swap (sda6)) and Recovery (sda3). Disk Utility Tool gives a message as follows when I select Ext: "The partition is misaligned by 1024 bytes. This may result in very poor performance. Repartitioning is suggested." There were couple of problems during the install, which I describe below, in the case they happen to be relevant. Installer claimed that it recognized existing OS'es fine, so I checked the corresponding option during the install. Next, when it asked me how to allocate the disk space, the first weird thing happened: the installer give me a graphical "slide" allocate disk space for pre-existing Win7 OS and new Ubuntu... but it did not inform me which partition would be for Ubuntu and which for Windows. ..well, I decided to go with the setting installer proposed. (not sure if this is relevant, but I guess I'd better mention it anyway - the previous partition tools have been more self-explanatory...) After the install (which reported no errors), GRUB/Ubuntu refused to boot. Luckily this problem was quite straightforwardly resolved with live-Ubuntu-USB and Boot-Repair ("Recommended repair" worked just fine). After all this hassle I decided to check the partition table "just to be sure"- and the disk utility gives the warning message I described.

Booting off a ZFS root in 14.04

I've been running a Debian derivative (LMDE) on a ZFS root for half a year now. It was created by cloning a regular ext4-based install with all the necessary packages onto a ZFS pool, chrooting into that pool and recreating a grub menu and bootloader. The system uses an ext-3 dedicated /boot partition. I would like to do the same with Ubuntu 14.04, but have encountered several obstacles. There is no Trusty zfs-grub package The default grub package doesn't have ZFS support built in. I found a small bug in the build system responsible for that (report with patch created) and built my own grub packages. The built-in ZFS support is dysfunctional, it does not add the proper arguments to the kernel command line I thus installed the ZoL grub package I also use on my LMDE system, which does give me a correct grub.cfg However, even with that correct grub.cfg, the boot process apparently doesn't retrieve the bootfs parameter from the ZFS pool; instead the variable that's supposed to receive the value remains empty. As a result, initrd tries to load the default pool ("rpool"), which fails of course. I can however import the pool by hand, and complete the process by hand. If memory serves me well, I also had to disable apparmor, to avoid the boot process from blocking after importing the pool. Am I overlooking something? Just for comparison, I installed the Ubuntu 3.13 kernel on my LMDE system, and that works just fine (i.e. the identical kernel and grub binaries allow successful booting without glitches on LMDE but not on Ubuntu).

nVidia 9800 GTX+ X11 fails to initialize. no unity or lightdm

I have just upgraded my work pc to 12.04 (not upgrade, fresh install), installing updates during the install, and after everything has loaded (with no errors) and I restart I get brought to console 1 tty login. Console 7 looks like this: IIRC I did not have to finagle with my drivers on 11.10 to get this card working. If this is in fact a driver bug I will remove this post and submit the bug but i'm not 100% confident that it is. I attempted to run unity --reset and got this: Lastly I tried $ sudo apt-get install nvidia-current which tells me nvidia-current is already the newest version. so I ran $ sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-current which says /usr/sbin/dpkg-reconfigure: nvidia-current is broken or not fully installed. Anything I can try from here would be awesome. Currently the only way to get the system up and running was to shut down, plug one of my monitors into the onboard video, enable the onboard video card from the BIOS, then boot back up (and on my single monitor everything is fine). update So I have been able to boot fresh with the ext card plugged in as long as I don't take the updates with the install. past this if I only install the nvidia drivers (nvidia-current or nvidia-current-updates) from the main server (or canadian) I then get the problems.. My proposal; which I don't know where to look for: Can I try installing the previous version of this driver? In the past, on another machine I had issues with my NIC driver being funky... downgraded to the previous driver and bam everything was merry and well.

Ubuntu automatic logout whenever I execute exe files

I have a problem. Here's the thing. There were 4 partitions in my hard drive: One for ubuntu root folder One for ubuntu home folder One for general stuffs like music, movies... And the last one for SWAP To install Windows 7, I resized partitions and moving the order of partitions by using GParted. I moved all of the ext formatted partitions to the left, so that means the spare space would be at the right. And I formatted that spare space in NTFS and install windows 7. After successfully installing windows 7, I used LiveUSB to fix grub. I installed Boot Repair and, with just one click, now I can dual boot ubuntu and windows 7. But, the point, because of changing the order of partitions, especially the partition consisting of home folder, I couldn't log in the ubuntu. I used recovery mode and changed file /etc/passwd. Everything almost got back to normal except one thing. The windows apps that I installed via wine don't work anymore. I run them via accessing menu Applications/Wine/Programs but nothing loads. One more thing, when I double click on exe files to run them, ubuntu suddenly log outs. Thank you for reading my post, it's quite long and my English is fairly poor. I'd appreciate for anyone who reads it.

Is it OK to introduce methods that are used only during unit tests?

Recently I was TDDing a factory method. The method was to create either a plain object, or an object wrapped in a decorator. The decorated object could be of one of several types all extending StrategyClass. In my test I wanted to check, if the class of returned object is as expected. That's easy when plain object os returned, but what to do when it's wrapped within a decorator? I code in PHP so I could use ext/Reflection to find out a class of wrapped object, but it seemed to me to be overcomplicating things, and somewhat agains rules of TDD. Instead I decided to introduce getClassName() that would return object's class name when called from StrategyClass. When called from the decorator however, it would return the value returned by the same method in decorated object. Unable to install Xdebug

I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? Can't change text color in Microsoft Word 2010

I have Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit running on Windows 7 32-bit. When text is highlighted and a color is selected from the mini-toolbar or the ribbon, the text does not change color. If I change the color for multiple words, and select a different color for each word, the toolbar and ribbon will reflect each of the different colors that I chose, however it is not displayed in the document. So it appears that Word is aware of the text color and not as if it is simply not applying the change. What may be causing this inability to view text colors and how might I fix it? My only troubleshooting attempt so far has been to perform a repair installation of Office. EDIT 1 I created a document, typed a word, selected it and changed the color. I then saved the document as HTML. The text did not change color. Oddly, I had some strange issues while the macro was recorded. I could not select text with my cursor. I had to select the text with control a and then apply the color change. I then couldn't deselect the selected text. Nonetheless, the text showed that it had a different color in the toolbar, but the color did not display in the document. If I copy and paste the colored text into a Word 2010 document, the color is lost. However, if you place the I-beam in the text and then look at the color selection drop-down menu on the ribbon or mini-toolbar, you can see that the proper color that the text should be in is highlighted. Edit 4 I uninstalled the entire Office 2010 Suite, rebooted and then reinstalled the suite. No change in behavior. Edit 5 Text cannot be colored in Excel either.

Tomcat 6: Access Control Exception?

I'm trying to setup a tomcat6 server, and I'm trying to match another setup someone else established. However, my deployment (default Ubuntu install) uses a policy.d/ directory structure, and the established server just uses a catalina.policy file. I've tried setting every entry in policy.d to match the given catalina.policy, but I still get the following stacktrace on boot (from localhost log). I have two questions, then. First, how do I get tomcat to use a single poilcy file, rather than the directory structure presented by policy.d/? Secondly, why, when I specify all files to use the same policy, do I still get the stack trace below? Greetings all. I apologise for posting this problem here, but I do so in desperation after receiving no response on the SugarCRM forums. Even if a reader is unfamiliar with ZuckerReports or SugarCRM some general advice on Java may be of use to me. I have installed ZuckerReports v1.12 in SugarCRM 5.5.1. The installation in which the report runs correctly is of the same version, and has the same version of the ZuckerReports module. The report previously ran correctly on both installations. I think that the only changes that have been made on the installation in which the report now does not work since the report was last successfully run are the additions of a few custom fields in the Contacts module. These changes should have nothing to do with ZuckerReports. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ZuckerReports module, but the problem remains. A google search for the warnings given in the error message ie. * log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (net.sf.jasperreports.extensions.ExtensionsEnviron ment). * log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. Returns a few links (not specific to ZuckerReports) with tips similar to the following: * log4j.properties or log4j.xml needs to be on the classpath where log4j can find it. I cannot find a file with either of those names anywhere on my server, and yet the report can be run successfully on one of my SugarCRM installations. So I figure log4j must be being configured another way. Can anyone suggest a way to solve this problem? Or explain how I might discover how log4j is configured in ZuckerReports? Or explain how I might compare the working with the non-working installation in order to help find a solution? (I have tried searching for files containing "log4j" in both installations and comparing but all I can find are .jar files (nothing I can read with a text editor), and the .jar files found in each installation appear to be the same.)

HP to Cisco spanning tree root flapping

Per a recent question I recently configured both my HP (2x 2900) and Cisco (1x 3750) hardware to use MSTP for interoperability. I thought this was functional until I applied the change to the third device (HP switch 1 below) at which time the spanning tree root started flapping causing performance issues (5% packet loss) between my two HP switches. I'm not sure why. HP Switch 1 A4 connected to Cisco 1/0/1. HP Switch 2 B2 connected to Cisco 2/0/1. HP Switch 1 A2 connected to HP Switch 2 A1. I'd prefer the Cisco stack to act as the root. EDIT: There is one specific line - 'spanning-tree 1 path-cost 500000' in the HP switch 2 that I didn't add and was preexisting. I'm not sure if it could have the kind of impact that I'm describing. I'm more a security and monitoring guy then networking. EDIT 2: I'm starting to believe the problem lies in the fact that the value for my MST 0 instance on the Cisco is still at the default 32768. I worked up a diagram: This is based on every show command I could find for STP. I'll make this change after hours and see if it helps. Call a function in an ExtJS XTemplate

I'm familiar with using a function to determine a specific condition using xtemplate but not sure how to directly call a function without the conditional if statement. My code, for example, wants to append some characters to a string that I am using within my xtemplate. Extjs combobox - doQuery callback?

Hi there, I'm using the following combobox: var cb = new Ext.form.ComboBox({ store: someDs, fieldLabel: 'test', valueField:'name', displayField:'name_id', typeAhead: true, minChars: 3, triggerAction: 'query' }); So when the user typed in 3 chars, a query to the server is made showing the proper results. Now I try to make the user input programmatically usint the doQuery() function of the combobox. After calling the doQuery() method, I want to seledct an Item via setValue(). cb.doQuery('myval'); cb.setValue('myval'); The problem is that setValue() can't select the propper value, because at the time it is called, the request started through doQuery() hasn't finished. So I need something like a callback in which I could use setValue() - but doQuery() doesn't seem to have a callback function. any ideas? thanks!

I was wondering whether the following are possible using the package: Add help texts beside/below input/select fields and textareas (e.g. "This field is required", "Example: qwerty123") Add/modify attributes for the input/select fields and textareas (e.g. adding the following attributes: class, id, name, maxlength, minlength, etc.) Add custom validations like checking whether a particular field should be unique or checking a value against a regular expression Modify the error messages Add another column to the table generated by the form Also note that djangoforms.ModelForm is different from django.forms.Form.

Set form field values in ExtJS

Referencing a module component class in GridView

I'm loading bootstrap into a module: 'modules'=>array( 'admin'=>array( 'preload'=>array('bootstrap'), 'components'=>array( 'bootstrap'=>array( 'class'=>'ext.bootstrap.components.Bootstrap', 'responsiveCss' => true, ), ) ), ), in a GridView I'm trying to create a TbButtonColumn: array( 'class'=>'bootstrap.widgets.TbButtonColumn', 'htmlOptions'=>array('style'=>'width: 50px'), ), This returns a CException Property "CWebApplication.bootstrap" is not defined. as it points to a bootstrap in the main config app which obviously doesn't exist, how do I reference bootstrap when it is loaded in the module? I tried: components.bootstrap.widgets.TbButtonColumn admin.components.bootstrap.widgets.TbButtonColumn admin.bootstrap.widgets.TbButtonColumn

Windows Explorer argument not being interpreted?

I'm currently using: Process.Start("explorer.exe", "/Select, " + fullPath); //with file name.extension That basically tells windows explorer to open the folder where the file is in, with the given file selected. But, by the forces of evil, sometimes it works and sometimes it just opens the file ("/select" is... ignored) Has anyone ever experienced this? If it changes anything, it's a file in a local network and the path looks like this \\server\folder\subfolder\something\file.ext (of course in c# every '\' is doubled, and @ is not a choice, the path is generated by something else) I'll be constantly reading comments to supply any aditional information

I have a CVS repository on Freebsd and a ssh access. When I use putty client connection is ok. CVSROOT=:/labs/cvs CVS_RSH=ssh But when I try to do checkout with TortoiseCVS CVSROOT :ext:root@server:/labs/cvs error occurs: cvs commit: warning: unrecognized response Access denied' from cvs server cvs commit: warning: unrecognized responseNo supported authentication methods left to try!' from cvs server cvs [commit aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) Error, CVS operation failed What's wrong? What must I do for successful checkout?

Cannot install Fast debugger in Netbeans 6.8 for Ruby 1.9

Hi, I am using Netbeans 6.8 version and Ruby 1.9.1 installed on Windows XP. I tried to install the fast debugger and I am getting the following error. Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing ruby-debug-ide: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. D:/Ruby19/bin/ruby.exe mkrf_conf.rb Building native extensions. This could take a while... Gem files will remain installed in D:/Ruby19/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/ruby-debug-ide-0.4.9 for inspection. Results logged to D:/Ruby19/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/ruby-debug-ide-0.4.9/ext/gem_make.out Have someone else faced this problem before. Please help. Thanks.

Email Validation from WTForm using Flask

I'm following a Flask tutorial from http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/intro-to-flask-adding-a-contact-page--net-28982 and am currently stuck on the validation step: The old version had the following: from flask.ext.wtf import Form, TextField, TextAreaField, SubmitField, validators, ValidationError class ContactForm(Form): name = TextField("Name", [validators.Required("Please enter your name.")]) email = TextField("Email", [validators.Required("Please enter your email address."), validators.Email("Please enter your email address.")]) submit = SubmitField("Send") Reading the comments I updated it to this: (replaced validators.Required with InputRequired) (same fields) class ContactForm(Form): name = TextField("Name", validators=[InputRequired('Please enter your name.')]) email = EmailField("Email", validators=[InputRequired("Please enter your email address.")]), validators.Email("Please enter your email address.")]) submit = SubmitField("Send") My only issue is I don't know what to do with the validators.Email. The error message I get is: NameError: name 'validators' is not defined I've looked over the documentation, perhaps I didn't delve deep enough but I can't seem to find an example for email validation.

Convert old NuSoap code into PHP core soap functions

Hi I've been testing nuSoap with codeIgniter (PHP Framework) but seems nuSoap isn't prepared to work with latest php 5.3, even if I download a patched nusoap version for php 5.3 I have the following code: require_once(APPPATH.'libraries/NuSOAP/lib/nusoap'.EXT); //includes nusoap $n_params = array('CityName' => 'San Juan', 'CountryName' => 'Argentina'); $client = new nusoap_client('http://www.webservicex.net/globalweather.asmx?WSDL'); $client->setHTTPProxy("10.2.0.1",6588,"",""); $result = $client->call('GetWeather', $n_params); Can any1 help me to convert these functions into php soap functions? Including proxy function? Thanks a lot

Apache/passenger/ree doesn't interpret .rb files

I'm trying to get apache + passenger + ree to work. I think I did everything (except for setting up rails env - for now I wanna run just pure ruby) described here: http://rvm.beginrescueend.com/integration/passenger/ But when I try to go to localhost/test.rb it doesn't interpret that file and just download it.
