  • Pagination links broken - php/jquery

    Hey, I'm still trying to get my pagination links to load properly dynamically. But I can't seem to find a solution to this one problem. vote down star Hi everyone, I am still trying to figure out how to fix my pagination script to work properly. the problem I am having is when I click any of the pagination number links to go the next page, the new content does not load. literally nothing happens and when looking at the console in Firebug, nothing is sent or loaded. I have on the main page 3 links to filter the content and display it. When any of these links are clicked the results are loaded and displayed along with the associated pagination numbers for that specific content. I believe the problem is coming from the sql query in generate_pagination.php (seen below). When I hard code the sql category part it works, but is not dynamic at all. This is why I'm calling $ids=$_GET['ids']; and trying to put that into the category section but then the numbers don't display at all.     Below is a partial table row that will create a line row of 3 columns. Two columns in each side is links, left is previous year and right is next year links. Center is links for january thru december. When you click a month links, the calendar will show that month you've clicked in the current year the calendar is on. For example, the calendar will open current month and year by default...March 2010.   • Remove the white text shadow from disabled links in IE8

    We are using Ext JS for an application in work, building a custom theme for it. We currently have a dark colour scheme including menus with dark backgrounds. In some of the menus some of the links are disabled at certain points, which all perfectly. However IE8 seems to add a sort of white text shadow, which I am sure is normally fine but as the text is light grey and the background is dark grey the white text shadow makes it look blurry and even makes the other enabled links more disabled as they look darker. Does anyone know of a way to remove the text shadow (I realise it is not css text-shadow as IE does not support it).

  • stylesheet_link_tag producing absolute links instead of relative

    I set up facebooker to tunnel my Ruby on Rails application. The issue is that I would like to test locally. That is, I don't want to have to start a tunnel every time I want to see my changes. Right now, when I start the application using ruby script/server (not calling rake facebooker:tunnel:background_start beforehand), links created by helpers (e.g., stylesheet_link_tag, javascript_include_tag, image_tag) are prepended with my tunnlr address: http://web1.tunnlr.com:myPort/. (For example, a CSS link looks like this in the page source: http://web1.tunnlr.com:myPort//stylesheets/appName.css?1234567890.) I don't want that functionality; I can't see my CSS or JavaScript changes without having to start the tunnel first. I want the links to be relative, not absolute. So, stylesheet_link_tag should produce /stylesheets/appName.css?1234567890. Does anyone know why it's doing that in the first place and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    I created a blog with Wordpress on a temporary test domain. I put it in the main directory, not a folder. Now I want to move it to the correct website, in a folder. I can update all of the MySQL values for the site URL, and the relative path links work just fine. The problem is that I can't seem to make my CSS path links work. I realize that my problem is that they are relative to the CSS file, in the WordPress theme, and not the page. But how can I fix this? Here is an example: #topNav {background:#3a93c3 url(wp-content/uploads/2011/07/blueNav.jpg) repeat-x;} I have tried adding './', '../', and '../../' to the beginning, but it doesn't work at all. Any suggestions?

    Hi everyone, I'm using ASP.Net but my question is a little more general than that. I'm interested in reading about strategies to prevent users from fooling with their HTML form values and links in an attempt to update records that don't belong to them. For instance, if my application dealt with used cars and had links to add/remove inventory, which included as part of the URL the userid, what can I do to intercept attempts to munge the link and put someone else's ID in there? In this limited instance I can always run a check at the server to ensure that userid XYZ actually has rights to car ABC, but I was curious what other strategies are out there to keep the clever at bay. (Doing a checksum of the page, perhaps? Not sure.) Thanks for your input.

  • CSS gaps between image links for no reason

    Hi, I've been trying to get this horizontal navigation sorted for the past few hours now and nothing is working. I've tried reset.css stylesheets, *{padding: 0; margin: 0) etc. and I still have gaps inbetween my image links. You see, the navigation is made up of an unordered list of image links displayed inline, but there are gaps in between each image, left, right, top and bottom and I can't see why. It's the same in all browsers. Here is a link to the page, and so source: Beansheaf Temporary I can't post more than one link (damn reputation) so the css is at the same url but in the directory "styles" and is called "fund2.css".     I'm using WordPress as CMS for a site I'm developing. When I'm browsing posts, I can use Next/Previous links to walk between posts. I want to have the same thing on pages. Page A Page B Page C Page A should link to next sibling Page B. Page B should link to previous sibling Page A and next sibling Page C. Page C should link to previous sibling Page B. Is there any plugin you can recommend that generates these links? I know there are some plugins that do this, but I specifically want one that hooks into my current theme automatically. I know how to edit the theme, but that would brick my site whenever a theme update is available. I'm using the LightWord WordPress theme.

    I just created a script which extracts the article out of a webpage via server-side JS. (If your interested: it's used for http://pipes.yahoo.com/fb55/expandr .) I just got a little problem with internal links. Some pages include links like: /subfolder/subpage.html What I would need to do is fixing them and setting there root, like this: protocol://secondlevel.firstlevel/subfolder/subpage.html I'm using E4X for processing the page. I don't want to show my current creepy try, it's buggy and slow. Does anybody have a solution for me?

    Hi all I have written myself a web crawler using simplehtmldom, and have got the crawl process working quite nicely. It crawls the start page, adds all links into a database table, sets a session pointer, and meta refreshes the page to carry onto the next page. That keeps going until it runs out of links That works fine however obviously the crawl time for larger websites is pretty tedious. I wanted to be able to speed things up a bit though, and possibly make it a cron job. Any ideas on making it as quick and efficient as possible other than setting the memory limit / execution time higher?

The releases are updated regularly, and the beta versions are nightly builds.     I'm using jQuery Mobile & Phonegap, and have the following code to open all external links in a certain div with the ChildBrowser: $('.someDIV a').live('click', function() { var thisUrl = $(this).attr('href'); PhoneGap.exec("ChildBrowserCommand.showWebPage", thisUrl); return false; }); For some reason, while the page loads in the childbrowser, it also loads in the background, as if there's no "return false". I've found a workaround by giving the link's href attribute a value of "#", and using the title for the url like this: And updating the jQuery code accordingly, but this is a problem where my links are dynamically generated, and I can't have the url in the title attribute. Any ideas how to solve this?
