  • Strange PYTHONPATH problem

    I recently updated my python installation to 2.7 (previously 2.5), and I've noticed a strange problem where I cannot import certain modules that I created. I had no problem before. Normally, I edit the PYTHONPATH and add the directory I want to import modules. For some strange reason, I can no longer import. I checked my path in PYTHONPATH, and it looked correct. When I display the sys.path in an interpreter, I see the current directory prepended to every PYTHONPATH entry(i.e. 'c:\blah\blah c:\path\to\module') If I edit the sys.path by appending the directory that I want at the end of the list,everything works fine(i.e. 'c:\path\to\module\'). I never had to do this before. I'm on Windows 7 on two computers. Has anyone else had similar trouble?

    I'm attempting to make my menu navigable with the arrow keys or via the d-pad on a controller. So Far I've had no luck. The question is: Can someone walk me through how to make my current menu or any libgdx menu keyboard accessible? I'm a bit noobish with some stuff and I come from a Javascript background.     I am developing an app on a page that uses jQuery 1.2.6, but I would like to use jQuery 1.4.2 for my app. I really don't like to use multiple versions of jQuery like this but the copy on the page (1.2.6) is something I have no control over. For a while, everything worked fine. However, I decided to want to use a jQuery plugin in a separate file. I tested it and it acted funny. After some experimentation, I found out that the plugin was using the old version of jQuery, when I wanted it to use the new version. Does anyone know how to import and run a js file from the context within the function wrapping the code in myStuff.js? In case this matters to anyone, here is how I know the plugin is using the old version, and what I did to try to solve the problem: I made a file called test.js, consisting of this line: alert($.fn.jquery); I tried referencing the file in a script tag the way external Javascript is usually included, below myStuff.js, and it came up as 1.2.6, like I expected. I then got rid of that script tag and put this line in myStuff.js: $.getScript("test.js"); and it still came back as 1.2.6. That wasn't a big surprise -- according to jQuery's documentation, scripts included that way are executed in the global context. I then tried doing this instead: var testFn = $.proxy($.getScript, this); testFn("test.js"); and it still came back as 1.2.6. After some tinkering, I found out that the "this" keyword referred to the window, which I assume means the global context. I am looking for something to put in place of "this" to refer to the context of the enclosing function, or some other way to make the code in the file run from the enclosing function. I noticed that if I copy and paste the code, it works fine, but it is a big plugin that is used in many places, and I would prefer not to clutter up my file with their code. I am out of ideas. Does anyone else know how to do this?

Set Java Home I pointed it to JRE 1.6.0_22 $ export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jre1.6.0_22/ 2. Create a self signed ECC cert in NSS DB I created NSS DB with self signed ECC certificate. If you already have NSS Db with ECC cert (and key) skip this step. $export NSS_DIR=/export/home/nss/ $$NSS_DIR/certutil -N -d . $$NSS_DIR/certutil -S -x -s "CN=test,C=US" -t "C,C,C" -n ecc-cert -k ec -q nistp192 -d . 3.     Have you ever wanted to add more than one Integration Services existing package (e.g. 20 packages) in a SSIS project? Well, you may suppose that an Open Dialog supports multiple files selection to import more than one file at a time ... BIDS Open Dialog doesn’t allow this, you can just select a single file! Hence the loss of valuable time spent to import the packages one at a time. Few days ago I learned a trick that solves the problem, thanks to this post by Matt Masson. Just copy all the packages to import from Windows Explorer (Ctrl + C): Then just right click on the SSIS Packages folder of the Integration Services project and make a simple Past (CTRL + V): So “auto-magically” you’ll have all those packages imported in your Integration Services project!! What can I say... this feature was well hidden!

  • Importing photoimpact .ab3 file database into another album program

    I have Photoimpact Album v5 which has now maxed out at 65,000 photos with database information. I can export the database and file information to a csv or dbase 4 file but I cannot find any way to import the information to a competative Photo Organization/Database product like Adobe Lightroom, ACDSee Pro3 or Photo Collector, etc... which is more modern, will work on Vista/Windows7, and not have any file limitations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really cannot reinput data information for 65,000 photos manually. I would use any good software that I can transfer my files and data ifno to.

    I'm looking to keep arpwatch entries in a mysql database to crossreference with other information I'm storing based on mac addresses. I've manually imported the arpwatch database into my mysql database, but being a novice with databases I'm not sure what the best way to continually update the database with new entries without creating duplicates would be. None of the fields can be unique, as even the time is duplicated frequently. I'm not interested in the actual arpwatch events like flip flop or new station, just the mac/ip/time pairings. Would a simple bash (or sql) shell script do the trick? Would it be possible to make the mac address plus the time be a composite key of some sort? the database is called utility, table is arpwatch, columns are mac, ip, time a seperate table named 'hosts' with columns mac, ip, type, hostname, location, notes has mac as the primary key. This table will correlate different ip addresses that a mac had over time using the arpwatch column initial import was done with MySQL Workbench using INSERT INTO commands with creative search and replace on the text file

  • What's the simplest way to get .flac music files into iTunes?

    I'm looking for a simple way to import .flac files into iTunes, so I can play them on my mac, and when I'm out, my iPhone, and I'm willing to be I'm not the first person to want to do this. What are the best tools for doing this? The quality of the music is useful, but truth be told, the speakers I'd play them on are so crappy that a lot of the sound quality in the .flac format would be lost anyway, so I'm not averse to converting to mp3 files. If it helps give any context, I'm using a Macbook with OS 10.5 Leopard, and iTunes 9, connected to a 16gb iPhone with standard apple headphones, which is sometimes plugged into Bose SoundDock for music, and the music files are piano performances.   • Any way to overwrite (not merge) Outlook contacts when importing from a file?

    I'm trying to create a contact list for Outlook 2010 that will contain contact information for every person in my company. I intend on keeping the list current, which means I will be manually adding new employees to the contact list, and removing contacts who no longer work here. The contact list will reside in its own subfolder within the Outlook Contacts folder. I want to periodically export this contact list as a .csv file, and allow the other employees in the company to import it into Outlook on their own computer, thus providing them with a comprehensive and up-to-date company contact list. The problem is, Outlook 2010 only wants to merge contact lists, not overwrite them. This means that any contacts who are no longer with the company will not be removed from the contact lists on employee stations. Is there any way to force Outlook 2010 to overwrite the contact list? Oh how I long for the days of Outlook 2003 and its tidy .pab files.

    Alright here is the thing, I have this site that was once wordpress but have been converted into 70+ static pages, the admin is deleted and the whole site is static(which means every page is in index.html), I want to create a script that makes an xml so that I will just have to import it in the new wordpress install. So far, I am able to create an XML but it only imports one post.   • Dangers when deploying Flash/Flex UI test automation hooks to production?

    I am interested in doing automated testing against a Flex based UI. I have found out that my best options for UI automation (due to being C# controllable, good licensing conditions, etc) all seem to require that I compile test hooks into my application. Because of this, I am thinking of recommending that these hooks be compiled into our build. I have found a few places on the net that recommend not deploying bits with this instrumentation enabled, and I'd like to know why. Is it a performance drain, or a security risk? If it is a security risk, can you explain how the attack surface is increased? I am not a Flash or Flex developer, though I have some experience with threat modeling.   • Python: Problem Importing Function From Another Module

    I have a module called nbemail.py and in this module I want to use the function package_post defined in the module main.py. I am using this statement: from api.main import package_post But I am getting this error: ImportError: cannot import name package_post I really don't know why I am getting this error! I do have _init_.py files in the api directory (which contains the files nbemail.py and main.py) and I do have the function package_post defined in main.py. Any idea to help fixing this problem?

    I'm looking for a Python IDE that can help me easily locate and manage and use the libraries on my system (Ubuntu). Specifically Twisted. Code completion is important including the symbols I import. (I've so far had a look at PyDev as well as OpenKomodo, but while both offer code completion for default Python concepts, I wasn't able to get either to import Twisted into my project and was thus getting reference errors.) Usual disclaimer: I don't like EMACS or vi, please, nothing regarding those.

    I've received a 'template' for an IIF file for Quickbooks transactions, and there's like seventy-bazillion fields in there, lots of which I never even user. It's a tab delimited file, with the following lines--field headers for transactions and respective splits for those transactions, followed by an end-of-transaction marker. !TRNS FIELD1 FIELD2 FIELD3 ... What drives data to a particular field? Is it the field header with corresponding data, or is it the tabular position relative to the head of the line?     Sharepoint 2007 MOSS with AD imported users. All servers are 2008. I have around 50 users, over the past 2 months, I have had a handful of the users suddenly unable to login to Sharepoint. When they login, they either get a blank screen or they are repropmted. These users are using accounts that have been used for many months, sometimes the problem originates with a password change. In all cases, the users account works on every other Active Directory authenticated resource (domain, exchange, LDAP). In the most recent case, last night I was forced deleted a user ("John smith") because of corruption. The orifinal account name was jsmith. I deleted him from active directory, then deleted him from the profile list in Sharepoint Shared Services. I could not find a way to delete him from the Sharepoint user list, but I reran the import after recreating his account (renamed it too just to be sure to "smithj"). At first, this did not wor, the user could still access all other resources but Sharepoint. then, some 30 minutes later it inexplicably started working. This morning, the user changed passwords, which immediatly broke the login on Sharepoint again. I am at a loss on how to troubleshoot this.
