  • jquery .before() if class isn't present

    - by Afonso Gomes
Using pagination, I have a div structure like so in the first page: <div class="ctema">...</div> <hr /> <div class="ctema">...</div> <hr /> <div class="ctema">...</div> <hr /> But with a jquery script to fetch content via AJAX... the following pages have only: <div class="ctema">...</div> <div class="ctema">...</div> <div class="ctema">...</div> I tried this: $('.ctematicas').before('<hr />'); But this doesn't checks if the HR tag is there or not and after 5 dynamic reloads In the first page I have 5 HR in a row ... How can I check if the HR tag is present between classes CTEMA and add one if not present?

  • Paging with jQuery

    - by zurna
    I get data from another page using jQuery get method. But I have a small problem. Sometimes, data that I take from another page is too long so it's divided into pages. When the user clicks on 1, 2, 3, ... links he/she is redirected to the other page. However, I want data to be reloaded on the same page. Edit $('ul.thumbs li.pagination a').live('click', function() { var pageNumber = parseInt($(this).text().replace(/[^0-9]/g, '')); $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "images.cs.asp?Process=ViewImages&PAGEID=<%=Request.QueryString("PAGEID")%>", success: function(data) { $("#ViewImages").html(data); }, error: function (XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { $("#ViewImages").html('.'); } }); return false; });

  • How to go 'back' 2 levels?

    - by Joe McGuckin
From the list view of my app, I can view a list of records or drill down and edit/update a record. After updating, I want to go directly back to the list view, bypassing a couple of intermediate pages - but I don't simply want to link_to(:action => list) - there's pagination involved. I want to go back to the exact 'list' page I came from. What's the best way? Pass a hidden arg somewhere with the page number? Is there an elegant way to accomplish this?

  • is it possible to combine will_paginate with find_by_sql?

    - by Tam
In my rails application I want to use will_paginate plugin to paginate on my query. Is that possible? I tried doing something like this but it didn't work: @users = User.find_by_sql(" SELECT u.id, u.first_name, u.last_name, CASE WHEN r.user_accepted =1 AND (r.friend_accepted =0 || r.friend_accepted IS NULL) .........").paginate( :page => @page, :per_page => @per_page, :conditions => conditions_hash, :order => 'first_name ASC') If not, can you recommend a way around this or a way that might work as I don't want to write my own pagination.

  • Similar SQL queries returning different results...

    - by Pablo
Here are the SQL Queries: $sql1 = "SELECT count(thread) AS total FROM comments WHERE thread=1 AND parent_id=0 "; $sql2 = "SELECT count(thread) AS total FROM comments, users WHERE thread=1 AND parent_id=0 AND users.user_id=comments.user_id "; $sql3 = "SELECT comments.*, users.username AS username FROM comments, users WHERE thread=1 AND parent_id=0 AND users.user_id=comments.user_id ORDER BY date LIMIT 10, 5 "; My question is why would $sql1 and $sql2 would return two different results? $sql1 returns 61 rows $sql2 returns 56 rows The 5th line in $sql2 is just for testing, is not required, is just a variation of $sql1 which gets the total rows for a pagination.

  • PHP: Iterate through folders and display HTML contends

    - by Mestika
Hi, I’m currently trying to develop a method to get a overview of all my different web templates I’ve created and (legally) downloaded over the years. I thought about a displaying them like Wordpress is previewing it’s templates view a small preview windows, displaying the concrete file with styles and everything. How to divide them into rows and columns and create AJAX modal window open on preview and pagination and so on I believe I can manage, but it is the concept itself about iterate over several folders then find all index.htm / index.html pages and displaying them. I’ve not worked very much with directories in PHP and the only references and code stumps I’ve found so far is just to list all the files in a certain directory like, what it contains. I would be really grateful if someone knew about a script, a function, snippet or just could get me a nudge in the right direction to create such a (probably simple) preview function. Sincere Mestika

  • How can we compute the LAST page with JPA?

    - by Kevin
I would like to implement pagination in my Servlet/EJB/JPA-Hibernate project, but I can't figure out how only one page from the query and know the number of pages I must display I use setFirstResult(int first) ; setMaxResults(int max) ; and that's working alright, but how can I know how many pages I will have in total? (Hibernate is my JPA provider, but I would prefer using only JPA if possible) UPDATE: COUNT() seems to be the better/easiest solution; but what can be the cost of SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ... in comparison with executeQuery("SELECT * FROM ...).getListResult().size() ?

  • php and SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS

    - by Lizard
I am trying to add the SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS into a query (Please note this isn't for pagination) please note I am trying to add this to a cakePHP query the code I currently have is below: return $this->find('all', array( 'conditions' => $conditions, 'fields'=>array('SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS','Category.*','COUNT(`Entity`.`id`) as `entity_count`'), 'joins' => array('LEFT JOIN `entities` AS Entity ON `Entity`.`category_id` = `Category`.`id`'), 'group' => '`Category`.`id`', 'order' => $sort, 'limit'=>$params['limit'], 'offset'=>$params['start'], 'contain' => array('Domain' => array('fields' => array('title'))) )); Note the 'fields'=>array('SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS',' this obviously doesn't work as It tries to apply the SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS to the table e.g. SELECTCategory.SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS, Is there anyway of doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  • If statement in MySQL query with PHP

    - by user1104854
Is it possible to use an if statement in a MySQL query in a similar what I'm showing? I want to grab some information for upcoming events(not ones with previous dates). ini_set('date.timezone', 'America/New_York'); $timestamp = date('m/d/Y'); $sql = "select eventID,eventTitle, eventDate from events where eventLocationID = $locationID ORDER BY eventDate DESC IF(eventDate > $timestamp) "; I really want to avoid doing post-query if statements that will only print if it's after today's date because I run it through a pagination function, and I'd really prefer to avoid tinkering with that.

  • Does jquery require timestamp on GET Calls in IE7?

    - by Mithun P
Please see the jQuery code below, it used to paginate some search results paginate: function() { $("#wishlistPage .results").html("<div id='snakeSpinner'><img src='"+BASE_URL+"images/snake.gif' title='Loading' alt='...'/></div>"); var url = BASE_URL+"wishlist/wishlist_paginated/"; $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: url, data: { sort_by:$('#componentSortOrder input:hidden').val(), offset:My.WishList.offset, per_page: 10, timestamp: new Date().getTime() }, success: function(transport){ $("#wishlistPage .results").html(transport); } }); }, My issue is not with the pagination, issue is when i need to call this same function when something happed to other part of the page which remove some search results, it brings the old results in IE7, other browsers works fine. So added the timestamp: new Date().getTime() part. That fixed the IE issue. I want o know why this happens in jQuery? Do I need to include a timestamp parameter to URL to avoid caching in all jQuery Ajax calls?

  • NHibernate Pitfalls: Fetch and Paging

    - by Ricardo Peres
    This is part of a series of posts about NHibernate Pitfalls. See the entire collection here. NHibernate allows you to force loading additional references (many to one, one to one) or collections (one to many, many to many) in a query. You must know, however, that this is incompatible with paging. It’s easy to see why. Let’s say you want to get 5 products starting on the fifth, you can issue the following LINQ query: 1: session.Query<Product>().Take(5).Skip(5).ToList(); Will product this SQL in SQL Server: 1: SELECT 2: TOP (@p0) product1_4_, 3: name4_, 4: price4_ 5: FROM 6: (select 7: product0_.product_id as product1_4_, 8: product0_.name as name4_, 9: product0_.price as price4_, 10: ROW_NUMBER() OVER( 11: ORDER BY 12: CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) as __hibernate_sort_row 13: from 14: product product0_) as query 15: WHERE 16: query.__hibernate_sort_row > @p1 17: ORDER BY If, however, you wanted to bring as well the associated order details, you might be tempted to try this: 1: session.Query<Product>().Fetch(x => x.OrderDetails).Take(5).Skip(5).ToList(); Which, in turn, will produce this SQL: 1: SELECT 2: TOP (@p0) product1_4_0_, 3: order1_3_1_, 4: name4_0_, 5: price4_0_, 6: order2_3_1_, 7: product3_3_1_, 8: quantity3_1_, 9: product3_0__, 10: order1_0__ 11: FROM 12: (select 13: product0_.product_id as product1_4_0_, 14: orderdetai1_.order_detail_id as order1_3_1_, 15: product0_.name as name4_0_, 16: product0_.price as price4_0_, 17: orderdetai1_.order_id as order2_3_1_, 18: orderdetai1_.product_id as product3_3_1_, 19: orderdetai1_.quantity as quantity3_1_, 20: orderdetai1_.product_id as product3_0__, 21: orderdetai1_.order_detail_id as order1_0__, 22: ROW_NUMBER() OVER( 23: ORDER BY 24: CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) as __hibernate_sort_row 25: from 26: product product0_ 27: left outer join 28: order_detail orderdetai1_ 29: on product0_.product_id=orderdetai1_.product_id 30: ) as query 31: WHERE 32: query.__hibernate_sort_row > @p1 33: ORDER BY 34: query.__hibernate_sort_row; However, because of the JOIN, what happens is that, if your products have more than one order details, you will get several records – one per order detail – per product, which means that pagination will be broken. There is an workaround, which forces you to write your LINQ query in another way: 1: session.Query<OrderDetail>().Where(x => session.Query<Product>().Select(y => y.ProductId).Take(5).Skip(5).Contains(x.Product.ProductId)).Select(x => x.Product).ToList() Or, using HQL: 1: session.CreateQuery("select od.Product from OrderDetail od where od.Product.ProductId in (select p.ProductId from Product p skip 5 take 5)").List<Product>(); The generated SQL will then be: 1: select 2: product1_.product_id as product1_4_, 3: product1_.name as name4_, 4: product1_.price as price4_ 5: from 6: order_detail orderdetai0_ 7: left outer join 8: product product1_ 9: on orderdetai0_.product_id=product1_.product_id 10: where 11: orderdetai0_.product_id in ( 12: SELECT 13: TOP (@p0) product_id 14: FROM 15: (select 16: product2_.product_id, 17: ROW_NUMBER() OVER( 18: ORDER BY 19: CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) as __hibernate_sort_row 20: from 21: product product2_) as query 22: WHERE 23: query.__hibernate_sort_row > @p1 24: ORDER BY 25: query.__hibernate_sort_row); Which will get you what you want: for 5 products, all of their order details.

Being able to answer this question can provide important insight and value of good project management practices for your organization. According to 400 senior executives who participated in a new survey conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit and sponsored by Oracle, unrealistic project goals is the main reason for roadblocks to success Other common stumbling blocks are poor alignment between project and organizational goals, inadequate human resources, lack of strong leadership, and unwillingness among team members to point out problems. This survey sample also had a lot to say about the impact of regulatory compliance on the overall portfolio management process. Thirty-nine percent acknowledged that regulations enabled efficient functioning of their businesses. But a similar number said that regulations often require more financial resources than were originally allocated to bring projects in on time. Regulations were seen by 35 percent of the executives as roadblocks to their ability to invest in the organization’s growth and success. These revelations among others are discussed in depth in a new on-demand Webcast titled “Too Good to Fail: Developing Project Management Expertise in Financial Services” now available from Oracle. The Webcast features Brian Gardner, editor of the Economist Intelligence Unit, who presents these findings from this survey along with Guy Barlow, director of industry strategy for Oracle Primavera. Together, they analyze what the numbers mean for project and program managers and the financial services industry. Register today to watch the on-demand Webcast and get a full rundown and analysis of the survey results. Local regulations and currencies, contingent labor, hybrid public/private funding sources, and more threaten project budgets and schedules. According to Mike Sicilia, senior vice president and general manager for the Oracle Primavera Global Business Unit, there will be trillions of dollars invested in industrial projects around the globe between 2012 and 2016. But even with so much at stake, project leads don’t always have time to look for new and better enterprise project portfolio management (EPPM) software solutions to manage large-scale capital initiatives across the enterprise. Oracle’s recent acquisition of Skire, a leading provider of capital program management and facilities management applications available both in the cloud and on premises, gives customers outstanding new EPPM options. By combining Skire’s cloud-based solutions for managing capital projects, real estate, and facilities with Oracle’s Primavera EPPM solutions, project managers can quickly get a solution running that is interoperable across an extended enterprise. Staff can access the EPPM solution within days, rather than waiting for corporate IT to put technology in place. “Staff can access the EPPM solution within days, rather than waiting for corporate IT to put technology in place,” says Sicilia. This applies to a problem that has, according to Sicilia, bedeviled project managers for decades: extending EPPM functionality into the field. Frequently, large-scale projects are remotely located, and the lack of communications and IT infrastructure threatened the accuracy of project reporting and scheduling. • It's Coming: Chalk Talk with John

    - by Tanu Sood
...John Brunswick that is. Who is this John Brunswick, you ask? John Brunswick is an Enterprise Architect with Oracle. As an Oracle Enterprise Architect, John focuses on the alignment of technical capabilities in support of business vision and objectives, as well as the overall business value of technology. What's more he is pretty handy with animation and digital videos as you will see shortly. Starting tomorrow, we will host a bi-weekly column with John called "Chalk Talk with John". Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii- mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast; mso-hansi- mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} In our "Chalk Talk with John" series, John will leverage his skills, experience and expertise (& his passion in digital animation) to discuss technology in business terms or as he puts it "so my ma understands what I do for a living". Through this series, John will explore the practical value of Middleware in the context of two fictional communities, shared through analogies aligned to enterprise technology.  This format offers business stakeholders and IT a common language for understanding the benefits of technology in support of their business initiatives, regardless of their current level of technical knowledge. So, be sure to tune in tomorrow and every 2 weeks for "Chalk Talk with John".

  • Bind Variable and SQL error during statement preparation

    - by Abhishek Dwivedi

JBO-27122: SQL error during statement preparation. Statement: SELECT AxEO.A_ID, AxEO.B_ID, AxEO.C_ID, ByEO.A_ID, ByEO.B_ID, ByEO.C_ID, Cz.A_ID, Cz.B_ID, Cz.C_ID FROM ABC_x AxEO, ABC_y ByEO, ABC_z CzEO WHERE AxEO.A_ID = ByEO.A_ID AND  CzEO.A_ID = :Bind_PId I copied and pasted the query on SQL worksheet, replaced :Bind_PId with a valid id, and executed the query. The query worked alright, implying the query was alright. I tried to connect to different DBs but the issue persisted, meaning it was not a DB issue either. Finally, the root cause was found to be in the concerned VO; one of the bind variables (say Bind_TId) was marked "Required". De-selecting the Required check-box resolved the issue. In retrospect, the issue looks to be rather straight-forward. However, the error message is not very helpful, if not misleading. Besides, it's counter-intuitive to think that a bind variable which is not being used in a query can cause error while statement preparation. The other bind variable - Bind_TId - was being used in other view criteria, not the view criteria involved in the given query. Still, it was required.

  • Oracle AIM, Oracle ABF, and Siebel Results Roadmap Officially Retired as of January 31, 2011

As Oracle has continued to acquire new companies and technologies, it has become essential that we also create a single, unified language and approach for implementation - across the Oracle ecosystem. With the release of OUM 5.1 in 2009, OUM provided full support for all enterprise application implementation projects including Oracle E-Business Suite R12, Siebel CRM, PeopleSoft Enterprise, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne projects. In 2010, we released OUM training that supports the use of OUM on these types of projects. That support represented a major milestone in the evolution of OUM and enabled implementers to transition to OUM. Consequently, we announced a staggered retirement schedule for Oracle's legacy methods. On January 31, 2011 we announced the retirement of:Oracle Application Implementation Method (AIM)Oracle AIM for Business Flows (ABF)Siebel Results RoadmapLater this year, we will announce the retirement of Compass - the legacy PeopleSoft method - and Data Warehouse Method Fast Track.OUM is available free of charge to Oracle Gold, Platinum, and Diamond partners through the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) [OUM on OPN]. The OUM Customer Program allows customers to obtain copies of the method for their internal use by contracting with Oracle for an engagement of two weeks or longer meeting some additional minimum criteria. There be more retirement announcements in the coming months. For now it's "Adios AIM." Thanks for the memories...
