• I Can't Install or Remove Any Application

  Source: http://projecteuler.net/index.php?section=problems&id=11 Quick overview: Take a 20x20 grid of numbers and compute the largest product of 4 pairs of numbers in either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. My current approach is to divide the 20x20 grid up into single rows and single columns and go from there with a much more manageable grid. The code I'm using to divide the rows into rows is void fillRows ( string::const_iterator& fieldIter, list<int>& rowElements, vector<list<int>>& rows ) { int count(0); for( ; fieldIter < field.end(); ++fieldIter ) { if(isdigit(field[*fieldIter])) { rowElements.push_back(toInt(field[*fieldIter])); ++count; } if(count == 40) { rows.push_back(rowElements); count = 0; rowElements.clear(); } } } Short explanation: I have the field set as static const std::string field and I am filling a vector with lists of rows. Why a list? Because the queue doesn't have a clear function. Also practice using STL container lists and not ones I write myself. However, this thing isn't working. Oftentimes I see it omitting a character( function toInt parses the const char as int ) and I end up with 18 rows, two rows short of the 20x20 grid. The length of the rows seem good. Rows: 18 RowElements[0]: 40 (instead of pairs I saved each number individually. Will fix that later) What am I doing wrong?

• Need some help trying to rip a CD using Windows Media Player on XP

  Hi folks, i'm trying to rip a CD using Windows Media Player 11 on XP ... and the destination folder is in the ALBUM NAME. Now, i can't see HOW it can rip to a new folder, named after the album. As far as I can tell, it's named by the Artist Name .. which sorta sucks for me. So, is there a way I can rip a CD with WMP11 that puts the songs into a new/existing folder which is the name of the Album? cheers :)

• Small font all 'new' messages suddenly in Gmail on Ubuntu in Opera, why?

  This seemed to happen out of the blue. I have been using Opera for years. I can't find anywhere in Gmail to change the default font that is used in Opera. Ubuntu is Version 11 Opera is version 11.6 In Firefox the font is normal size. I have tried playing around with both all the browser setting I can find plus Ubuntu system settings (I had seen some mentions of Opera using the system default font sometimes) but no success so far. Really bumming as I have been using Opera for two years and if I can't resolve it I will not be able to use it. I can switch to Firefox but I don't want to.

• SOA Suite 11g Releases

  A few years ago Mars renamed one of the most popular chocolate bars in England from Marathon to Snickers.  Even today there are still some people confused by the name change and refer to them as marathons. Well last week we released SOA Suite 11.1.1.3 and BPM Suite 11.1.1.3 as well as OSB 11.1.1.3.  Seems that some people are a little confused by the naming and how to install these new versions, probably the same Brits who call Snickers a Marathon :-).  Seems that calling all the revisions 11g Release 1 has caused confusion.  To help these people I have created a little diagram to show how you can get the latest version onto your machine.  The dotted lines indicate dependencies. Note that SOA Suite 11.1.1.3 and BPM 11.1.1.3 are provided as a patch that is applied to SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.  For a new install there is no need to run the 11.1.1.2 RCU, you can run the 11.1.1.3 RCU directly. All SOA & BPM Suite 11g installations are built on a WebLogic Server base.  The WebLogic 11g Release 1 version is 10.3 with an additional number indicating the revision.  Similarly the 11g Release 1 SOA Suite, Service Bus and BPM Suite have a version 11.1.1 with an additional number indicating the revision.  The final revision number should match the final revision in the WebLogic Server version.  The products are also sometimes identified by a Patch Set number, indicating whether this is the 11gR1 product with the first or second patch set.  The table below show the different revisions with their alias.   Hi, Hopefully someone can help here. I recently installed wampserver ver 2.0 with Apache ver 2.2.11. My issue is, I have some large php scripts which timeout at the default 5 min (300 sec) browser limit (I'm using ie8). It is critcal I get this limit extended. I have tried changing the httpd.conf file to include the following: TimeOut 1200 My objective was to set the timeout at 1200 seconds, or 20 min. I had just chosen a random location to place this directive within the httpd.conf file as I cannot locate any documentation to suggest it belongs in a specific place within the file. Regardless, the changes I make appear in the httpd.conf file that can be found in the system tray for wampserver, however they have no effect - the browser still times out after 5 minutes. I thought perhaps I had the capitals incorrect, so I changed to: Timeout 1200 This change had no effect either. Can someone please help, this is very frustrating. Maybe the command can only be used within a specific module? If so, I have no idea which one, nor do I know the syntax to specify this. Regards Adrian.

  I'm having trouble with inserting a value into a database through node.js. Here is the offending code: sql.query(conn_str ,"INSERT INTO Login(email, hash, salt, firstName, lastName) VALUES(?, ?, ?, ?, ?); SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY() AS 'Identity';" , [email, hash, salt, firstName, lastName], function(err, results){ console.log(results) } Unfortunately, the console is just echoing [], meaning results is an empty array, I suppose. Does anyone know why the identity is not being returned? Even if it was null, why isn't results then [{Identity: null }] ? Database is on Azure, which does have a "Scope_Identity" function, and the native client also recognises this function. Using node package "msnodesql" Please Help

I think I can't print the correct data in the main because the printData() call is in the main thread and the display in the threadTask function is correct because the method is executed in its own thread (not the main one). It's strange, it means that all threads created in a parent processes can't modified the data in this parent processes ? I think I forget something in my code. I'm really lost.
