    I am attempting to create a simple application using Eclipse GEF that displays a diagram inside a ScrollingGraphicalViewer. On start-up I want the diagram to be centered inside the viewer (imagine a star layout where the center of the star is in the center of the view).     Say I had 4 videos with the following names: Main Video.mov Top Left.mov Top Right.mov Top Mid.mov and I wanted to have "Main Video" play with a picture in picture effect with boxes of videos playing in the top left, top right and top mid. Each box would have the video that is similarly named. This command will do picture in picture for 2 videos, with one video in the lower right. ffmpeg -i 2013-07-31\ 231548.MOV -vf "movie=2013-07-31\ 231722.MOV, scale=iw/5:ih/5 [small]; [in][small] overlay=main_w*0.77:main_h*0.77 [out]" -strict -2 output.mov Can someone help me update this command to work with the 4 files I mentioned above?   • Crystal Reports, alignment when printing

    Hello, i have a report with 2 objects. a text object from left to right and a database field on top of this object. When I load the report in viewer(or print from viewer) it looks OK but when I print the report programmatically with ReportDocument.PrintToPrinter() the database field moves to to the left and as a result it print on the text object. Concatenate the text and database field is not an option.   • Is there some API on BlackBerry for "smooth" image resizing?

    To get image thumbnails on BlackBerry I use EncodedImage.scaleImage32(). It works Ok, but when I open native image viewer (from the Camera app) I see the difference in quality - native viewer thumbnails look nice (smooth, anti-aliased), while mine are a bit ugly. Looks like native viewer resizes images using some filter (bicubic or smth like that). How can I do the same? Is there some API for "smooth" resizing?

    This is about Windows 8 RTM. How can I change the lock screen in Windows 8 that appears after connecting to the machine via RDP? You can change your lock screen for your user account like so: Hit the Windows key. Right click your user name in the upper right hand corner, choose Change Account Picture. Click Lock Screen, choose a new picture. However, if you then connect to the computer where you've done this from another computer via RDP, using the same account, the physical machine you've connected to will display the "default" user lock screen - a stylized Space Needle / Seattle picture. It's not a bad picture, but I'd like to change it.

    Hi all, I know Android cannot handle PDFs natively. However, the Nexus One (and possibly other phones) come pre-installed with QuickOffice Viewer. How would I determine whether the user has a PDF viewer installed? Currently, the code to start the PDF download looks pretty simple: Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(Uri.parse(url)); startActivity(intent); After download, the user clicks on the downloaded file to invoke the viewer. However, if there is no PDF viewer, Android reports "Cannot download. The content is not supported on the phone." I want to determine if the user will get this message, and if so, direct them to PDF apps in the Android Market. Thanks!

    After weeks of research I have nearly completed my thesis, yet I am unable to clear up my confusion contained in all previous threads here (and in many books): During system testing, we check the system function against system analysis (functional system design) - but that would fit to a definition of verification according to many books. But I follow ISO12207, which considers all testing as validation (making sure work product meets requirement for intended use). How can I justify that unit testing or system testing is validation, even though when I check it against specification? Which fullfils the definiton of verification? When testing that e.g. "Save button" works, is it validation? This picture shows my understanding of V&V, so different from many other sources, including ISTQB etc. Essential problem I have is that a book using the same picture also states on another place that: test activities in the area of validation are usability, alpha and beta testing. For verification, testable system requirements are defined whose correct implementation can be tested through system tests. Isn't that the opposite of what the picture says? Most books present the following picture, where validation is just making sure that customer needs are satisfied. Mind you that according to ISO, validation activity is testing.

    I'm having some problem in realizing an interaction between QML and C++ to obtain a very basic file browser that is shown within a ListView. I tried to use as model for my data the QT class QFileSystemModel, but it did't work as I expected, probably I didn't fully understand the QT class documentation about the use of this model or the example I found on the internet. Then when I first double click on drive "C:\" it shows the list of files and directories on that path, but when I double click on a directory a second time the screen flickers for one moment and then it shows again the PC logical drives.     Para todos los que hemos trabajamos con Crystal Reports, no es un secreto que cuando tratamos de conectar nuestro reporte directamente a la base de datos, se nos viene encima el problema de autenticación. Es decir nuestro reporte al momento de iniciar la carga nos solicita autentificarnos en el servidor y sino lo hacemos, simplemente no veremos el reporte. Esto, además de ser tedioso para los usuarios se convierte en un problema de seguridad bastante grande, de ahí que en la mayoría de los casos se recomienda utilizar dataset. Sin embargo, para todos los que aún sabiendo esto no desean utilizar datasets, sino que, quieren conectar su crystal directamente veremos como implementar una pequeña clase que nos ayudará con esa tarea. Generalmente, cuando trabajamos con una aplicación web, nuestra cadena de conexión esta incluida en el web.config y también en muchas ocasiones contiene los datos como el usuario y password para acceder a la base de datos.  De esta cadena de conexión y estos datos es de los que nos ayudaremos para implementar la autentificación en el reporte. Generalmente, la cadena de conexión se vería así <connectionStrings> <remove name="LocalSqlServer"/> <add name="xxx" connectionString="Data Source=.\SqlExpress;Integrated Security=False;Initial Catalog=xxx;user id=myuser;password=mypass" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/> </connectionStrings>   Para nuestro ejemplo, nombraremos a nuestra clase CrystalRules (es solo algo que pensé de momento) 1.     I'm looking for a Linux based diff viewer/editor for Perforce, which would allow me to retain my VIM editing shortcuts, at the same time having the navigational advantages of a diff editor (goto next/previous edit, view old and new side by side). I have a very good Windows diff viewer(BC3), so please don't suggest anything for Windows. If that editor doesn't require X server (i.e it can be used from cmd line in a putty session), that would be ideal !!

    This tool is excellent when investigating what is going on in your StreamInsight Streams.  I was looking through the menu items recently and went to Query => Event Fields I found that there were a couple of columns not added by default to the event viewer (Reminds me of the fact that the Variables viewer in SSIS hides columns also) Latency NewEndTime EnqueueTime Here they all are together.     This gives us even more information about what is going on

    I'd like to create a mini dropbox and print server on a small soho network of 5 users (all of them use windows XP desktops). The device need to run 24/7 or at least 12/7 (I can accept just workday hours too but the other two options would be better). Dropbox mini server: I mean I will have a 90gb dropbox on every computer on my network LAN syncing with It and the one onto It syncing to the web. Print Server: I have a Samsung A4 small laser printer, a HP500 Designjet Plotter, a Samsung Multifunction Machine (fax/print/scan/copy), a modern HP color A3 Deskjet printer and a HP laserjet A4 color printer. All of them need to be connected to this mini server. Fax/Scan server: since I have the above mentioned fax/print/scan/copy machine I would like to make people use It from/to their computers through the mini server. I thought to a recent EEEBOX machine because I heard good things about ATOM cpus and because It seems that a recent BIOS version could switch It off and on autonomously. I'd like to listen some advice from You. Best of all would be: - If You have something similar running for a long time - If You disagree with this hardware choice and If You would suggest some other device. - If You see any issues with my printing setup - Anything else ;) My budget is from Zero (using right sw to build something on top on a old PC) to 500€ max.

If someone could direct me to some resources to find out, I would appreciate. If I take Flicker as an example, people can upload pictures and share them. What if someone a picture that belong to someone else, like a professional photographer? Or what if someone upload a picture of someone and that person does not agree to that? Same question if someone put a picture in there that is not acceptable? Can a Disclaimer or Terms of Use avoid the Website (or the person managing a Website) to get in trouble when someone violate the law? Thanks.

I have a scanned jpg file with below properties and size 8.5MB pixel dimension: 2468 × 3484 pixels print size: 208.96 × 294.98 millimeters resolution: 300 × 300 ppi I need to save the file as png while the size cannot be bigger than 4MB. The most important is that the size of picture must remain the same. I mean that the object size in the picture must stay the same. Could anybody tell me what is used to define the size of the objects in the picture?
