  • Windows 7 just restarts, no BSOD, shows "Event ID 14 volsnap"

    My Windows 7 just restarts without giving me a BSOD. When it reboots, it will hang sometimes and you have to let it rest. Sometimes it will print a message saying that Hal.dll is missing or corrupt. When it does restart I can't run a backup or a clone drive – it comes up with constant errors. I tried to run chkdsk – it says everything's clean. What is really puzzling is SyncToy on a different drive hangs half way through and won't run either. Machine: OCZ SSD Agility 2 for C drive SATA HDD for programs, documents on D drive MSI AMD 880 chipset Event viewer says something about critical power failure I/O operations and "Event ID 14 volsnap" – but that is just telling me the computer powered off which I already know.

  • SSRS report font problem on deployed reports

    I have created several reports for my SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 SP2 server, using Visual Studio 2008 on my machine. The reports objects all use Arial as their font, in various sizes and weights. When I test them in VS, all looks fine, and I can print them and export them okay. When I deploy them to the server though, they look fine on-screen and if exported to PDF, but when printed directly from the web viewer, the fonts seem to go 'missing' - all the characters are squashed together as if there was a slight negative character-offset.

    Crystal Report is working fine on local database,but its not working on windows server 2008 when i deployed it on IIS 7. I have run Crystal report run time also.I copied CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll, CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.dll and CrystalDecisions.Shared.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Common\3.5\managed\dotnet2 into bin folder of my application.Still its not showing anything and not throwing any error also.     Hi In my report there is a table and a line. the table is showing rows of data from my DB. I want to know how you could make the table size commensurate with the line (make the length of the line is equal to the length of the table) I set the property "RepeatWith" in the line properties to the table in my report, but this isn't working because this will only work if the data region spans multiple pages.     Hi, in one of our applications we're using alocal RDLC-report (displaying using a ReportViewer control) to print some tables and text entered by the user. We'd like to give the user the ability of formatting the text. I thought I might use the respective WPF controls (embedded into the Windows Forms application) to make things easy.     I need an Access Report to use a CSV-File as a RecordSource. I have searched and tried many things, yet, I've found no way to achieve this. A temporary table in some other database is not an option. I've been trying to use a DAO RecordSet, but while I can read the RecordSet just fine I cannot set it as the report's RecordSet and I cannot use its Name as the RecordSource Property as both approaches lead to an error. I tried to run the application on another windows 7 pc with CR runtime installed, it worked properly.
