    I am using Lightbox Plus for wordpress. My captions are spilling over and overlapping the picture when the image is in lightbox mode. The captions are covering the image and the close link, as well as being off-center.   • How can I create a fast, real-time, fixed length glowing ray?

    Similar to the disintegrate skill in Diablo 3. It should not light other objects in scene. Just glowing and animated. Like in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_c4x6aQAG8. Should I use pack of pre-computed glow sources textures for each frame of ray animation like in this article http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems/gpugems_ch21.html and put it in bloom shader? Is there any other efficient ways to achive this effect? I'm using OpenGL ES 2.0.

In actuality I get one and a half pages of error which is completely unreadable and devoid of any logic or sense of respect for the user that is using Moose (in terms of intuitive error messages) just like the one above. What's to be done in this case ? I mean I get on my screen these error messages that are sometimes completely unrelated to the problem that I'm having (which I can assess after solving the problems that probably caused them, I say probably becuase I have no idea where these error messages came from because they look like they fell from the sky as they have no relation to the actual situation). Is this: the inexplicable dramatic destiny of the Perl programmer using Moose ? someone being extremely lazy and sloppy at writing error messages ? maybe on heavy drugs ? me not understanding basic english ? Gentlemen, when writing software, please please please, take care of the poor programmer that will use it and respect him by writing relevant error messages. (Except for error messages Moose is a pretty good piece of software)

    Hi Wayne :) I want to use HttpServer, which you mentioned, and I think is cool to do comet/cometd. I am wondering how tough it is to do it so that I can take the waiting connections off the thread and into some waiting queue. Also, am I correct in that it looks like it is using nio? Also, is there any better examples? I always get caught up in the terminology that the javadoc uses... Thanks :)

    The Document class have a getDoctype method but doesn't have a setDoctype. The documentation says: The DOM Level 2 does not support editing the Document Type Declaration. docType cannot be altered in any way, including through the use of methods inherited from the Node interface, such as insertNode or removeNode. and in my project I need to generate xml files with my specified doctypes. I've tryied to create my own DefaultNode, but it throws "DOMException: Method not supported" for the setters. Any idea?

  • Sun webstack vs Installing PHP, MySQL, Apache individually

    Is it possible to install PHP, MySQL, Apache individually on Solaris instead of installing them through a webstack? What are the advantages and disadvantages? I seem to frequently get a CURL error on Solaris when dealing with HTTPS sites. (error:81072080:lib(129):func(114):reason(128). I have no clue why that error is occuring and thought it might solve it, if I upgrade to latest PHP,MySQL,Apache versions. At this point I am not even sure if it's a Solaris issue. Any advice?     Hi, I am running some application on Tomcat 6.0.26. There is Apache in front of web server talking to it over mod_jk. Every few hours when I try to access application browser simply spins, and no content is retrieved.     I need to update/patch the firmware of a lot of Sun/Oracle systems quite frequently. To do that I first need to download the latest firmware snapshot by hand from Oracle's saggy and unsophisticated "My Oracle Support" (list of all firmware snapshots can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/systems/patches/firmware/release-history-jsp-138416.html). Now I wondered whether there is a known way to automate the download of all the latest patches, maybe using a script. Kind regards

It sucks way too much ! -Plus wifi internet connection stays for 5minutes then no internet ! but wifi connections stays. I've tested ubuntu 12.10 beta 2 64bit with 1) Nvidia geforce gts250 (EXCESSIVE TEARING, 3d games dont change res and have low fps plus bad support on plymouth etc) 2) Ati radeon hd 6450 (Low Fps on full hd video playback , can play hd flash videos)
