  The Exception class in Delphi 2009 received a number of new features. Everything worked fine until I upgraded frome framework 3.5 to 3.5 sp1. the wcf web service stoped working and returns the error: "Failed to invoke the service.   I am trying to get Uploadify working with Rails 3. However, I can't insert the middleware with the correct arguments. • Why is my sound not working in Flash?

  This is what I have as far as code, it is in the first frame of the movie. nature = new Sound(this); nature.attachSound("sound_naturally"); nature.setVolume(50); nature.start(0,0); nature.onSoundComplete = function(){ nature.start(0,0); } trace(nature); The trace outputs '[object Object]' at runtime. I have the sound exporting to ActionScript with the link identifier 'sound_naturally', not exported to the first frame. I don't understand why it's not working. I did like the exact same thing like 3 hours ago and it worked fine, but I lost the file so I had to redo it and now it won't work at all. Using Flash 10 with ActionScript 2.0

• active_scaffold routing error

  If you haven't seen my question yesterday, this is my second rails app. The first went nice and smooth, but this one keeps giving me one random error after another. I installed active_scaffold for this app as well as the last app (the first error, instead of using script/install plugin git://active_scaffold repository, I did script/install plugin http://active_scaffold repository.) I didn't want to spell out basic CRUD on minor models. After the install problems, (before I found the http solution from a windows user when I'm on Linux) I thought I'd try out Hobo. Well, Hobo updated actionmailer, actionpack, activerecord, activeresource, and installed rack. Rails isn't even using the updated versions. But as you can see at the bottom of the trace it's using rack. I have a feeling it has something to do with my futzing around with installing Hobo which I uninstalled. Thanks in advanced. [Edit] I had asked the question over at the ActiveScaffold Group the answer (if you don't want to follow the link) was that this line needed to be added to routes: map.resources :modelName, :active_scaffold => true It doesn't entirely answer my question, since the documentation said nothing about changing routes. • How do I run a ruby script, that I put in my /lib/tasks/ directory in my Rails app, once?

  Eventually I would like to get to setting it up as a Rake task and do a cron job, but for right now...all I want to do is take my ruby script that used to work as a standalone script and have it work within my Rails app. I renamed the file to be .rake instead of .rb and tried doing rake my_script at the command-line, but that gave me this error message: rake aborted! Don't know how to build task 'my_script' (See full trace by running task with --trace) How do I run this script within my Rails environment? • How to View Android Native Code Profiling?

  I started my emulator with ./emulator -trace profile -avd emulator_15. I then tracked down the trace files to ~/.android/avd/rodgers_emulator_15.avd/traces/profile, where there are six files: qtrace.bb, qtrace.exc, qtrace.insn, qtrace.method, qtrace.pid, qtrace.static. I can't figure out what to do with these files. I've tried both dmtracedump and traceview on all of the files, but none seem to generate any output I can do anything with. How can I view the proportion of time taken by native method calls on Android?

• Cap deploy doesn't work all the sudden; something to do with FactoryGirl and assets

• Generating JavaDoc style documentation

  Hi all, I would like to generate a report similar to JavaDoc so that you can real easily click on a test, result, and source. I am running HtmlUnit tests so I will have the result (html), source (request, headers, parameters, etc.), stack trace all visible so a developer or qa can go back later to review this to see what went awry. So, in the left frame, the tests will be listed along with the group they were a part of (similar to packages in javadoc). In the right frame, the results will be presented along with the source and stack trace. How can I achieve this? The HtmlUnit tests are part of the project and not a stand-alone plugin if that matters. Thanks, Walter

  I have a document type which has multiple presentations. Say I want to display the document in an RCP editor with a customizable subset of those presentations, in a layout chosen by the user. One option that has come up is docking-like behavior for the panels inside an individual editor, with drag-and-drop, resizing, closing, maybe rollover and floating. Clearly this would need usability testing, but my question here is of feasibility. Are there any existing libraries or e4 plans to support behavior like this?

  We have developed an ASP.NET website on a Windows 7 - 32 bit platform using Visual Studio 2008. This website is being hosted at a hosting company where we share a server with hundreds of other ASP.NET websites. We are in the process of changing our hosting to a dedicated Windows 2008 - 64 bit server. We have installed Visual Studio on this new server in order to debug our application. If we try to start the application on this new server using Visual Studios 2008's own web server (not IIS 7) we get the error below. I don't want this. So my question is + Why query String hpql = "SELECT n FROM Node n "; issues un-expected trace logs like above. Why the query String hpql = "SELECT n.nodename FROM Node n " not? What is the mechanism behind? Note: Im using hibernate caching level 2. In case I don't want to see that trace logs. I mean I just get Node data only. How to do ? Thanks for your help. • flash's "useHandCursor = true" not working for Chrome on Mac

  I'm developing a flash game using the default SimpleButton object for my buttons and the hand cursor is working just fine on PC Chrome and Firefox and Safari for Mac, but Chrome on Mac is not letting me swap the default cursor for the hand cursor. I've even set useHandCursor to true for every button I add a click event to and am still getting nothing. We've got no other rollover events, so it's important that the cursor switch. Anyone else run into this and have a lil-fixy / workaround?

• WinForms: Why do I get InvalidCastException when showing folder browser dialog?

  I am randomly getting InvalidCastException when showing FolderBrowserDialog and also many clients have reported this. I have not been able to find anything relevant on the internet. Does anyone know what causes this/how to fix this? My code: using (FolderBrowserDialog fbd = new FolderBrowserDialog()) { fbd.ShowNewFolderButton = false; if (fbd.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) Stack trace: Error: System.InvalidCastException: 'Unable to cast object of type 'System.__ComObject' to type 'IMalloc'.'. Stack trace: at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.Shell32.SHGetMalloc(IMalloc[] ppMalloc) at System.Windows.Forms.FolderBrowserDialog.GetSHMalloc() at System.Windows.Forms.FolderBrowserDialog.RunDialog(IntPtr hWndOwner) at System.Windows.Forms.CommonDialog.ShowDialog(IWin32Window owner) at System.Windows.Forms.CommonDialog.ShowDialog() EDIT: Additional information: I have been able to reproduce this only when running in VS2008 debugger. When running out of debugger, it happens only very rarely (happened once or twice in 6 months) on my 64 bit Windows 7 and goes away after restart. The clients are certainly not running the app in debugger so it is surely reproducible out of debugger.
