• how can I get around no arrays as class constants in php?

  I have a class with a static method. There is an array to check that a string argument passed is a member of a set. But, with the static method, I can't reference the class property in an uninstantiated class, nor can I have an array as a class constant. I suppose I could hard code the array in the static method, but then if I need to change it, I'd have to remember to change it in two places. I'd like to avoid this.

  Hi, In a project, I change a UILabel's text with setText, a UIButton's color and after that do a time consuming calculation, followed by an animation. However, the text's and color's change is reflected after the calculation is executed (and before the animation begins) however I want to reflect the changes immediately before calculation (as you guess it is a waiting text) How can I achieve this?

If a short message notification is clicked Logcat reveals the following: INFO/ActivityManager(31909): Starting activity: Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=content://mms-sms/conversations/3 flg=0x34000000 cmp=com.android.mms/.ui.ConversationList bnds=[0,586][600,682] } This brought me a little bit further using content://mms-sms/conversations/3 as the data starts up the messages app in the correct conversation. I now only need to find out which conversation a message belongs to.

• Android Mock Location locks GPS on status bar

  I created an app that uses mock locations to insert GPS coordinates. After removing the test provider via: mLocationManager.clearTestProviderLocation(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeTestProvider(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeUpdates(mLocationListener); When I launch google maps for example after exiting the app the GPS location is found and then never goes away. "Location Set By GPS" always remains on the notification bar even though my app is ended. Any ideas?

  I cannot understand why my MKMapView does not want to change to satellite view. This method is called and case 1 is called I have stepped over it but it simply does not change to satellite type it always changes to standard. It only works when it goes back to Map type.   In the web app I'm working on I want to do a little slide up notification, like on twitter or your desktop. jQuery's .slideDown does exactly what I want, but it's upside down. The .slideUp doesn't execute an upside down version of slideDown. Instead it hides stuff, like after your cleaning up an old message you've displayed with slideDown. So what's the simplest code to do an upside down slideDown() in jQuery?
